Fried chicken livers
Felice B.

Decent value for the price and locale but Bojangles has nothing to worry about. The biscuit itself was extremely crumbly which made the sandwich difficult to eat. The chicken itself was just okay, neither good nor bad, and the "frim fram" sauce (extra charge) was mayo-based and sweet. The requested pimento cheese was unavailable, as were most other cheeses listed. The livers were a generous serving and very freshly overcooked. You'd think with 3 people working BOH and no other customers waiting at least one of them could watch the fryer. All seasoning was AWOL, too. I'm guessing there are better options at Ponce. At least I hope so.

5 stars for Zay and Hydia. Zay provided me with the best customer service. So much so, I initially went there just to buy lemonade for the kids, and I ended up coming back and supporting them again to buy food because I really liked my interaction with him though brief. Hydia was also a sweetheart very helpful when I asked how the food was and if they think I should try it and what they recommend. They were sure to really sell it to me and I did actually end up buying. I asked that everything be made fresh. Zay told me it would take 7 minutes. So I paid, and we went and shopped at Nō mad. I came back right before packing was complete. Of course Zay or Hydia were busy, and the blonde guy Henry, was packaging the food . I will say Henry had a nasty attitude for absolutely no reason. If not for Zay, I would have given this place a negative review just off of the strength of my interaction briefly with Henry. Not nice. When I returned for pick up, Henry had a box in his hand, I saw only two fresh pieces of chicken being added to the box. He closed the box and then called my name. I asked him if everything in the box was made fresh to order per my request because I believe it was a 4 or 5 piece and I only saw two fresh pieces added. A simple yes would have sufficed. He proceeded to get sassy saying, "We cook the pieces of the chicken separately, and of course it's all made fresh". I did not argue with him, I took the food and I moved on. He seemed very perturbed that I even asked a simple question such as hey, just making sure all the pieces were fresh and added to the box per my request. Safe to say one of the pieces was not fresh, which I figured, but the rest were, and it was fine, so I didn't press the issue because I did not want to deal or interact with Mr. Henry again. I will recommend this place just off the strength of the great customer service Zay provided. He was so nice. Didn't seem bothered by his job unlike Mr. Henry. Also, the chicken had no flavor to me, however, because it was made fresh, it was easier to enjoy, and their bread rolls were phenomenal. Be sure to ask for made fresh chicken.

Chef's Special Chicken Sandwich

Me and my wife stopped by Ponce City Market to grab some lunch. I decided on trying Hop's. I have seen this place multiple times on my visits to PCM, but never have tried it, so this time around I bit the bullet. I got the chicken sandwich and some tater tots. I ended up having to wait about 20 minutes for my food, which is honestly ridiculous. They don't even have a system of contacting you when your food is ready. No text or buzzer or anything. So I had to stand there by the window the entire time waiting for my food. The food was honestly super mediocre. It did not pass my expectations at all. I always see this place being packed, so I really had high hopes, but it just didn't check out. The tots were boring and whatever. Frozen ones from the grocery store would've done the same. The chef's special chicken sandwich wasn't too flavorful either. It had some type of slaw on it, that ended up making the whole sandwich soggy and it started to fall apart after not even 3 bites. This place was just not worth it to me, and I definitely won't ever be back in the future. There are plenty of other options in this food hall that would be better, at least in my opinion.

Chicken Biscuit

Oh man... what a biscuit filled with tender fried chicken! You absolutely can't visit Atlanta without having chicken biscuits. Man am I happy I tried this one. It was delicious, warm flaky biscuit and super tender chicken. The sauces were amazing as well. We got our food super fast after ordering and the guys working were very nice and courteous. The only issue is I don't take any home with me. Can't wait to visit again.

Fried chicken meal 14.99

The food blew my expectations, it was DELICIOUS, everything , was seasoned WELL, my whole plate had so much flavor . Service was nice and quick , this place is located Inside the "Ponce City Market" food court area . The meal itself cost 14.99.

Tater tots

Does this look like $6 worth of tater tots? Hop's seems to think so. The first time I visited Hops's 2-3 months ago, my tater tots came in a small brown box (the normal brown box I've seen many other restaurants put their side fries/tots in). No complaints there. Today I visited Hop's for the second time and was very surprised that my bag felt so light. I genuinely thought I picked up someone else's bag. When the employee at the counter confirmed those were my tots, I opened the top and LOLd. 13 tots costs $6 in 2025??? That's wild. The employee sympathized with my frustration, stating that after their manager saw how many tots were being put in the boxes, they were told to use the white containers moving forward. So...instead of directing employees to not overfill the boxes, customers now receive crumbs for $6? Mind you, the first time I bought the side of tots, the box closed perfectly fine. It was not overfilled. It was a normal side of tater tots that I felt justified in buying for $6. What I received today was so laughable. Of course I asked for a refund, but since the employee gave me an additional container, I accepted it and moved forward with my day. Y'all got me today!! But never again.

Yummmmm. Some of the best fried chicken in Atlanta. Worth the wait! Enjoyed the whole chicken, mac and cheese, and greens. Greens were just so so, Mac was delicious!

Chicken Sandwich

I don't recommend this restaurant. The server was kind of rude when we were ordering. We were ordering and she kept saying they were out of everything we were saying. There was no apology for being out of the items, she just kept saying no no no, but when we were ready to walk away she apologized and changed her tune a little bit. We ended up ordering from this place but I think we should have went somewhere else. The chicken sandwich looked tired. It wasn't hot and it was not tasty.

Hop's Chicken is located in Ponce City Market. It's easy to locate within the food court area of the market. You do have to pay for parking at Ponce City Market. It is hourly rates available for review when you can see the posted QR codes. The service was great. The young lady at the counter was pleasant. I ordered a salad with two chicken tenders. I did alter the salad, which she said was no problem. She had the containers handy to show me the difference between a small and large salad. It took about 5 to 7 minutes for my order to come up. It was handed to me at the pickup window on the other side. I was offered free water while I waited. This was a nice gesture. The chicken tenders were cut into 4 to 5 pieces each. The Ceasars dressing I got was really good. I asked for the sweet bread and butter pickles to be removed. They were not. Good them I am not allergic. I just do not like sweet pickles. They were small, so hard to pick out the salad. The chicken was fried well but little seasoning. It's a food court, so the ambiance was giving mall food court vibes to me. Plenty places to sit and eat. I took my food to go as I was working the festival across the street. I was too busy to have the salad remade. It was a little pricey for the amount of food and for my order to be incorrect. I do not visit Ponce City Market often. With that in mind, I wouldn't eat here again with so many other options I have yet to explore. I would say check it out if there.

After looking at the other options in Ponce City Market, this seemed like a good choice until I waited and was disappointed in the food and service. There was nobody else ordering before me and 2 ladies working. The lady that took my order ignored me at first. The other lady that made my plate took forever and was on her phone in between scooping the food onto my plate. How unsanitary and unprofessional. The food had been sitting out and if I knew that, I wouldn't have come here at all. After waiting awhile I received my food and it was cold. Neither lady asked if I wanted sauce with my food. The mac & cheese portion was small and cold. Fried chicken was too greasy. Biscuit was alright. Will not be coming back here.

Anthony P.

Great fried chicken and the portion to price is not bad at all. Very affordable! Service was fast and my thigh was nice and juicy! My chicken breast was a little dry and the tenders as well. The biscuit was so good and the Mac n cheese was also very tasty. I could eat the biscuits all day! I did not care for the slaw as it was vinegar based. I am more of a mayonnaise slaw kinda guy! I would try it again I really enjoyed my chicken thigh!

Nicole E.

More protein spot. The 5 chicken tenders with BBQ sauce. $12.51 The chicken tenders are big and really tender meat, moist too. The bbq sauce isn't bad, a hot sauce option would be better.

The chicken sandwich was pretty bland. There was a really long wait time and I saw a small bug hanging around the pickup window.

Our experience was simply wonderful and already has us talking about our next visit. Our server, Lauren (Jacksonville, Fl.) Was great. She made excellent suggestions and was extremely knowledgeable with regard to the menu. Our appetizer, Salmon Chips was a great suggest suggestion and the salmon was well seasoned on a homemade potato chip. The main courses, brisket and trout were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The portions were plentiful and we left with lunch. Though I was far too stuffed to eat dessert, they gave me a chocolate cup cake for later. Additionally, they gave us complimentary champagne and I received a birthday card signed by the restaurant staff. This was the best birthday restaurant experience I've ever had and it won't be nearly as long before my next visit.

There were 3 of us - we ordered two Mushroom Quiche, Country Fried Steak Biscuit, and an order of Banana Bread French Toast for all to share. The Mushroom Quiche was average - it was small, the baked egg custard with the mushrooms tasted fine, however, the pastry was thick and soggy - I ate the custard, but left most of the pastry shell. The Country Fried Streak, looked so appetizing, unfortunately, it was very difficult to eat - the fried coating was not crispy, but had a 'hard crunch', and the steak was chewy and tough. My partner left most of it on the plate. Last, the Banana Bread French Toast we shared. It tasted good - we had the strawberry compote and the whipped cream on the side. While the banana bread tasted fine, it was also too moist - or soggy. Overall, a very disappointing Mother's Day Brunch.

We then moved into the dining area where we had four tables next to each other. The lounge area has festive decor and our server did a great job taking care of my group before we arrived. The dining area has a more subdued decor. There were other groups celebrating and we still felt like we had a room to ourselves. Once seated, service was also excellent. They had several staff dedicated to us. Water, apps and wine service was quick and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious. I had many compliments on both the food and wine. For starters we had Tuna Tartare Chips and greens (salad). Both were excellent. For mains we had the salmon and roast chicken. Brussels sprouts and whipped potatoes for sides. Finally cheesecake bites for dessert. We served their Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir with the meal. Everything went perfectly. Just the right amount of food and wine. (7 bottles for our 20). Their contract is written in a way that makes you think you might be rushed. But that was not the case in practice. We had plenty of time to meet and greet at the lounge before being seated. And plenty of time at the tables. We felt we received an excellent value for our dollar. Highly recommended for a special event. I worked with Kate Chandler who is their Event Manager to plan the event. This was the first event like this that I have planned. She made it easy and offered advice when I asked. For seating, it seems you are encouraged to bus your own table, but it isn't clear so most people don't. So we (and multiple other groups) ended up waiting for a table to open up and then cleared the dishes/glasses ourselves. Not a big deal but was just not the most welcoming system. Additionally, our entrees came out about 15 minutes apart, which wasn't ideal. We would have liked to order a couple more beers, but pretty sure we would have needed to enter the main line again to order those. We arrived around 6:45 on a Saturday and the pizza was sold out. Not sure if this is typical, but it was a bummer, especially since the menu isn't particularly large in the first place. The Caesar salad was great. Really good. And the grinder was quite good but not exceptional. For about $80 for 2 beers, a salad+chicken, and the grinder, I can't say it's worth the price. Review would probably be different if we were able to get the pizza because that seems to be the main attraction.
