Last night I checked out this restaurant it had a beautiful setting and can be perfect for date night, friends, or family. I had a really great waiter, Adam, who was knowledgeable about the menu and gave awesome recommendations. I started off with the breadsticks, which were good, although some were burnt and you could taste it. However, the cheese pull was great and the flavor was still enjoyable I just removed the burnt edges. I had the shrimp scampi with a side of pasta, and it was excellent. My friend had the spicy pasta with pork, and she loved it. The dessert was awesome as well. There's plenty of parking around, and street parking is free after 6 PM. Parking decks are available, but they have a 2-hour limit.

This place is super overhyped. My boyfriend got us reservations for my birthday and we were so excited to try it. We should up and our reservation isn't even ready, okay cool it happens. 30 minutes later our table is finally ready for us. We sit down and the server gives us some recommendations and we order. When the prosciutto comes out, it's literally just prosciutto with oil drizzled over it. We then wait an hour for our entrées to come out. All while the tables around us are getting their food. People who sat down after we ordered are getting their entrées before us. Our waiter is nowhere in sight. We're trying to flex Someone down because at this point we're ready to leave cause we're super hungry. They finally come out with our food and it's the smallest portions. The food was good. Don't get me wrong, but it was the fact that our waiter kept stressing that everything was family sized to us so we ordered to share. There was nothing about this that was family sized. By this point, it's 10 o'clock on a Monday so everywhere else is closed so we got to leave hungry. Was just super disappointed by the whole experience, especially since we chose to spend my birthday here and it was this bad.

This is a great space for a date night. It was intimate, and nice atmosphere. The food was amazing! We had the garlic bread which is a must! We also had the Shrimp Scampi with a side of pasta! Absolutely delicious and fresh! The service was 10/10!!! From the moment I walked in from the hostess and from my server. Will definitely go back!!! Make reservations!

I usually avoid trying new places on my birthday, but after hearing so many great reviews about No. 246, I decided to take the risk--and wow, it paid off! The ambiance was stunning. Dim lighting created an intimate, cozy vibe that felt perfect for a special night. Our server, Josh, was incredible--kind, personable, and patient. Honestly, I hope he's our server again next time. Bonus points for the complimentary bread to start--because who doesn't love warm bread? For drinks, we kicked things off with "The Beaches of Italy" and a couple of Old-Fashioneds. Both were excellent. For entrées, we ordered Eggplant Parmesan, Shrimp Scampi (with a side of pasta), Risotto, and Gulf Snapper. Every single dish was a 10/10--seriously flawless. And because it was my birthday, dessert was a must. I went with the tiramisu, and let me tell you, it was so good I almost licked the plate (but, you know, public setting!). No. 246 has officially earned a spot in my rotation. While I'm not Italian, I grew up in New York and have tasted authentic Italian dishes--and this was the most authentic experience I've had in Atlanta so far. I can't wait to go back!

I have been wanting to go to No. 246 FOREVER. I made a reservation many weeks in advance, as me and my wife wanted to come for Valentine's Day. We came on the 13th, instead of the 14th though because we could order whatever we wanted, where as on the 14th, it was a pre-fixed menu. We got a bottle of the Sangiovese, Scopetone, Tuscany to go with our dinner. We weren't sure what we wanted, so we asked our server for some reccs based on the food that we were going to get, and she recommended this one. It was really good! Perfect for the food we got. We started with some bread for the table, and then ordered 2 appetizers. We got the prosciutto and the garlic bread. You MUST/NEED/HAVE to get the garlic bread! It has these chilies in them, and it tastes soooo good. It's so cheesy and garlicy too. Our friends told us ahead of time to make sure we get the garlic bread, and we are so glad we did. We had leftovers to take home, and I'm so glad we did, LOL! The prosciutto was okay, nothing special. It was quite oily and I didn't care for it too much. I wouldn't get it again. For our mains, we got the spicy rigatoni vodka and the orcchiette. Both tasted EXCELLENT. The rigatoni had a real nice bite to it. There was a nice kick to it as well. I personally liked the orcchiette more cause I am a sucker for sausage in pasta. It was a garlic cream based type pasta, so completely different from the rigatoni. It tasted so flavorful, but it didn't feel super heavy (personally.) I would definitely get both of these dishes again. They have quite a few different items on the menu too, so you will definitely find something you like. They have almost 10 different pizzas, quite a few pasta dishes, and also about 10 main course type dishes (seafood/chicken/etc.) My wife told them it was our birthday when I went to the restroom, and they brought out for me a nice little candle and an orange flavored limoncello shot! It was such a nice surprise. Our server, Brandi, was excellent! She was super knowledgeable about the menu and super friendly. She talked to us throughout the dinner, made suggestions, and was always checking in with us to make sure we were okay. She made the experience that much better! The ambiance inside 246 is very romantic and swanky. It's the perfect place to go for a date night, as the lights are low and there are candles on the tables. We ubered here, so I am not too sure on parking. I would definitely come back here again in the future. I'm already thinking about the garlic bread! *drools*

    02.11.2026: No. 246 Meatball
    Kim N.

I took my partner to celebrate an early Valentine's dinner on February 11, 2026 at No. 246 and overall had a solid date night with a few highs and a few "almosts." Appetizers: We started with the No. 246 Meatball ($9) and Garlic Bread with marinara ($17). I'm not usually a meatball person, but I kept seeing reviews recommending this one, so I gave it a try. It's one giant meatball, and I have to say -- it was the juiciest, most moist meatball I've ever had. Tender, well-seasoned, and sitting in a rich tomato sauce that complemented it nicely. That said, I still don't love meatballs in general, so for me it's a 3.5/5 -- but if you're a meatball fan, you'd probably rate it higher. The garlic bread had one of the best cheese pulls I've ever seen. Visually? 10/10. It was golden, crispy on the edges, soft inside, and loaded with bubbling cheese. I just wish it had more of a garlic punch. If there was a lot of garlic, the cheese overpowered it. It came with a bright red marinara sauce, but honestly, the bread was good enough to eat on its own. 4.5/5. Entrees: My partner ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese ($27). The pasta was silky and perfectly al dente, coated in a slow-simmered, hearty meat sauce that tasted rich and deeply savory. You could tell it had been cooked down properly -- layered, comforting, classic. He enjoyed it but felt it didn't fully wow him, so he rated it 3/5. I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka ($23). The rigatoni was cooked well and coated in a creamy, vodka sauce that was smooth and slightly tangy. I just wish it had more heat. It wasn't as spicy as I expected or hoped for. The flavor was good at first, but the more I ate it, the more I got tired of it -- it felt a bit one-note by the end. I'd rate it 3/5. Good, but I wouldn't order it again. Dessert: We had the pudding cake for dessert, and it looked so good I completely forgot to take a picture. It came warm with a scoop of ice cream on top of what tasted like a lemon bar-style pastry. I'm not sure what flavor the ice cream was (not something I usually order), but it paired surprisingly well with the citrusy base. I was hoping it wouldn't be too sweet, but it definitely leaned on the sweeter side. Still, I'd give it a 3/5 -- and I would actually get it again. Service & Ambiance: Service was about a 3/5. Our server checked in about four times, which I appreciated. I especially liked that he wiped the crumbs off our table before each new dish -- small detail, but it elevated the experience. The only hiccup was timing. About an hour after we ordered everything at once, our entrees still hadn't come out. I had to flag down another server to ask about our pastas. She said she'd get our server to update us, which she did -- but it would've been nice to have proactive communication. When we were seated, the host placed us at a six-chair table in the middle of the dining room. I asked if we'd be sharing with other patrons, and she said no -- they just wanted to seat us as tables became available since we had a reservation. I understood, but for a date night (especially early Valentine's), we lowkey wished we had asked to wait for a booth or a wall table for a more intimate vibe. Overall: It was a nice early Valentine's dinner with some standout moments (that garlic bread!) and some dishes that were good but not memorable. The space has a lively, warm energy that's great for groups or casual date nights. I'd come back -- especially for appetizers and dessert -- but I'd probably try different entrees next time. Overall rating: 3.5/5.

You can believe the hype here the food is delicious. I could've ate more I was thoroughly surprised it was as good as people claimed it to be (especially on social media). The service was great it is an intimate setting so I didn't want to turn my flash on to take pictures but I promise the food looks better than my pictures. The service was also great I did have to wait for about 15 minutes even with having a reservation so that was a little meh but it wasn't that big of a deal, they are a popular spot.

I'm so torn, I want to give a good review because this is the perfect date night spot...but I also want to gatekeep it because the more folks that know about it, the busier it will get. I kid, sort of. I've been here three times, for three separate first dates (a story for another site I guess), and each time I've enjoyed the entire experience. Reservations are highly recommended, especially if you are coming on a high volume day (i.e., Friday night, Saturday night, Valentine's Day). The tables are fairly close to each other, so even though the ambiance suggests an intimate vibe, you'll be near enough to your neighbors that you can clearly hear their conversation. I know some people are fine with family-style adjacent dining, but I'm not a fan of dining with strangers. Thankfully each time I've been, the patrons on either side of me kept to themselves. The low lighting sets a nice mood though, and I've had attentive servers each visit. As far as food goes, get the garlic bread. I know you've probably seen it on other reviews as a must-have and there is a reason for it. Just go ahead and get it, it's amazing. The Caesar Salad - meh, it's not bad at all but it's also nothing special. I don't think that's necessarily a No.246 flaw, since it's basically just lettuce, croutons and cheese wherever you order it from. The Calabrese pizza and the Marinara pizza for the table was sooo good, and definitely let me know that my eyes were bigger than my stomach. The Chicken Scallopini Limone with pasta is by far my favorite dish, and the Shrimp Scampi is a close second. I will say the Beaches of Italy cocktail and the Roman Daiquiri didn't get me even slightly buzzed, so maybe the weak drinks are a flaw? I have to tell myself it's their drinks and not me having an uncomfortably high tolerance for alcohol... I've done a birthday date here and the celebration was the perfect amount of panache for an introvert; your server brings a healthy scoop of sorbet with a candle on the house and that's it - no awkward singing from the waitstaff and stares from the other patrons. My only negative if you can call it that would be the fiasco that is parking in the city of Decatur. That's not No.246's fault so I didn't deduct a star, but my gosh that city truly hates any vehicle that isn't a bike or a scooter. Be sure to arrive several minutes early so that you can get one of the few coveted parking spaces half a mile away.

Amazing Italian in the metro Atlanta area. You MUST get the garlic bread and the shrimp scampi, wow. Sat at the bar because it was pretty packed and there was a wait even with reservations but it was chill either way. They accommodated us just the same.

If you enjoy an intimate dining experience and some quality Italian then, this is the place for you.i there parking on the street fills up fast so i had to pay to park in a lot near by. I got the cheesy bread for starters. Then i got the shrimp scampi and a side of pasta. For my entree I got the bolognese and the tiramisu for dessert. Our waiter was nice.

Very crazy how a review can change after 7 months. Dined here tonight and I got something very opposite of good service. We didn't get our bread service until 40 minutes later and asking two different people for it after seeing all the tables around us getting it upon seating. We finished our appetizers and still hadn't received any. We were also never checked up, dirty dishes were never collected, water was never refilled and check was never brought out until we asked. Not sure what changed but the service compared to the last few times I've dined here was different. And what was crazy was the tables next to us seemed to be getting the total opposite of our service. The server even dusted off their table after the bread for them. Not sure what happened here but don't think I can be back.

This was my first time visiting No. 246. I came for a friend's birthday dinner and was thoroughly impressed. Our server was attentive and friendly. The interior is gorgeous and much bigger than expected, although still cozy. I ordered an espresso martini (very good!) and a Hugo spritz (also very good) for drinks. They both came out very quickly. We started with a Caesar Salad & the No. 246 meatball. They were both delicious and the meatball was huge. The server emphasized that everything is shareable and she was not wrong. The Caesar is served with anchovies on top which is yum! For my main course, I ordered the black spaghetti which is very popular apparently, the dish included shrimp. My friend beside me ordered the Chicken Marsala with a side of pasta. My spaghetti was good, a bit spicy although not too much for me. However, I was able to try my friend's chicken Marsala and it was delightful! The chicken was so tender and the sauce was delicious. I would honestly opt for ordering that if I was to visit again. Definitely recommend No. 246 and I'm hoping I can go to their brunch soon.

I came here to celebrate a friends birthday. She found the restaurant on TikTok and we were not disappointed! The food here is amazing! It is a little pricey so it's definitely a restaurant to reserve a dinner for a special occasion but I will definitely be back! The service was good, the ambiance the amazing! They have intentional intimate lighting, beautiful decor and truly create a dining experience. Definitely be sure to order their drinks the elderberry drink was unique and delicious and the garlic cheese bread was to die for!

    What is the dress code?

    Dressy casual-nice jeans are fine.

    Can you were jeans here?

    Yes!

Are there any gluten free options?

Yes! They have gluten free pasta and most of their entrée options are GF or can be prepared as such. Also, sides, salads and lots of GF antipasti options! Their experienced staff will do a great job navigating you through the menu.

I want to have a baby shower. Is there a pirate dining area available or can a certain number of tables be reserved?

There's a place in the back that can be closed, so it's private. But, I don't know if they's actually do that for a event.

Can I bring my own bottle of wine?If so what is the cork fee?

You can bring your own wine and I believe the fee is $15.

We ordered a bottle of Nero D'Avola, which was smooth and delicious. We got the meatballs as our appetizer, which were super tender and full of flavor. We split the rigatoni alla vodka, fettucine ai funghi, and tagliatelle bolognese. All were perfection. I loved the creaminess of the alla vodka, which had a kick of spice from the chili oil. I loved the herbiness and freshness of both the ai funghi with its sage and the bolognese with its rosemary. The tiramisu was the only dish that was just ok. I would much rather have espresso drenched ladyfingers than coffee liquor. But it was still good so I cannot complain. The waitress also surprised us with prosecco with a lemon rind twist to celebrate the fact that we had just closed on our first ever home. All in all - it was a perfect evening.

We did arrive here a bit early for our reservation but were seated right next to the open kitchen, so it felt quite crowded and cramped. It's a very, very small restaurant and it was freezing where we sat because we were under the vents. Our server, Mary Catherine, was a treat and she took good care of us. She took our drink orders, though I didn't drink tonight. For appetizers, we started with the calamari and stuffed clams. They also offered complementary bread and olive oil basket that was served warm, yum! Our food orders came out pretty fast actually. The calamari was not your typical fried calamari - it was delicious and loved the mix of raw onions in it for that fresh bite. I'm not a fan of clams so I didn't try this, but heard it was just breading and can't really taste the clam taste. For my entree, I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs. I had been dreaming about this since making the reservations and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was wonderful. I did think the meatballs were a tad too salty for my taste and I'm glad I opted out of the freshly grated parm because I feel like that would have made everything saltier. After our meal, they brought out free dessert for the birthday celebrants. Nothing but raves were said after our dinner here and we're definitely looking forward to coming back here again.

Gigi’s Italian Kitchen - Beef Carpaccio. Arguably the best thing I have eaten in 2023... and I'm not really a carpaccio gal.

Came for my birthday and highly recommend having reservations. I will say, I did call to change my…read morereservation time because the resy app only had like three time slots available (a week in advance too!!) and the person who picked up was very rude! She said we don't pick up the phones during service hours just email us, frankly, if I have to email a restaurant I don't want to dine there. And also there email was nowhere to be found on the website. Thankfully, we called back the next day (hopefully during a less busy time? 5:30, they changed it for us in two second so not sure why the other lady had such an attitude about it. Almost really ruined my experience and I was going to dine elsewhere. Started off with focaccia and beef carpaccio. The beef carpaccio was good! Although very very thin serving. We got two pasta dishes and th trout. The pasta dish with shrimp only came with five small pastas, I thought this was kind of pricey and crazy! $32 for five pieces of pasta?! The pork pasta dish was also very very salty. Though a bigger portion for $34, it was okay at best. The trout was definitely the better entree in my opinion. We also got a slice of tiramisu, and this was my favorite item all night. It was sweet and light! They also don't give any free appetizers for your birthday just fyi! The server was friendly, and came to check on us frequently. Overall, the food was okay, and the phone service was off putting. I think it's a quaint and cozy restaurant to experience once, but would def get a better bang for your buck elsewhere.

Very weird experience. Netting out at three stars…read more The food was good. The beet salad was whatever but the beef carpaccio, polenta cakes, pasta, all good. But also insanely overpriced. $32 for rigatoni with a red meat sauce? $16 for two small polenta cakes? It was good but those are MARGINS. And honestly all of that would have been fine if the service wasn't so rushed. We were told to order everything upfront and they'd course it out for us.... And then all of our plates arrived at the same time. It was my husband's birthday and we wanted to sit and have a nice date night meal and they had us out of there 34 minutes later. That was for three apps and an entree. I genuinely don't know if I go back.

Ooooh this place is a dream! The outdoor (enclosed) patio in the winter isn't just a last resort…read morereservation option, it should be your TOP destination. It's cozy, (plenty warm) and romantic! It was 32 degrees outside, but completely comfortably warm, inside. You truly wouldn't know you weren't inside. Any way, I've eaten my way through Inman Park but somehow hadn't yet indulged in the delectable Sotto Sotto. This might just be my new favorite Italian in Atlanta. It was absolutely delicious. Across the table (thanks to the half portion option), we tried at least 8 items on the menu! Each one was more special then the next. Our incredible server Kagen (sp?) walked us through each section of the menu absolutely perfectly. As a result we ended up ordering some of his favs from across the menu. In my photos you can see what we ordered, but my recommendation is to simply ask your server what they like and you'll undoubtably get something stellar. In a market of many, great Italian options, Sotto Sotto might just be the BEST and my new fav!!! I absolutely can't wait to return.

However the server we had tonight was one of the worst experiences I've had especially for a place that is trying to sell an upscale dining environment he greeted the table by saying (after we asked how he was doing) "I'm doing f-ing horrible I'm tired and feel like sh*t we had such a busy night last night" he was not very knowledgeable about menu or drinks and his overall appearance gave very much unhygienic he also forgot to put in our food order so we waited double the time and said that since we already had appetizers and the other table did not have any food that we could wait to order food, also just assumed how someone in my group wanted there steak cooked so had to wait for that to be redone, he was all over the place and did not check in on us very often we needed things like refills or salt pepper etc. and went without because bad service I don't think he should have been working he obviously did not want to be there he also failed to mention that the kitchen was closing so we did not get to try the desserts. There were a couple of other things but don't want a 5 page review I cannot remember his name but a taller white guy with a messy bun and tired eyes. We still left a tip because that's what you do when you go out but if he treated his other tables like he did us I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only ones that tipped. I suggest not going on a busy night to get good service I guess. My group was 4 ppl 2 couples trying to enjoy a nice double date without the craziness of v-day next time we will celebrate days before. Will for sure be going back and hope you give them a try but if that's how the waiter greets himself please go ahead and ask for a different server!!!!
