I loved my visit. Food is great and the service is very pleasant. This place is in a strip mall and can be seen from traffic. This is an Italian restaurant that is pretty authentic. I ordered the Taglierini norcina. The meal is very filling and tasty. I believe it is angel hair pasta with mild sausage and alfredo sauce. The bread with olive oil is very decent. The meal was too big to eat in one sitting. I had to get a take home container.
Where do I begin? I absolutely love everything about this restaurant it instantly transports me back to my time in Florence. We ordered the spaghetti alle vongole and a fresh salad, paired with a Diet Coke and a sweet tea, and ended the meal with a decadent tiramisu. The service was outstanding, especially from the gentleman with black hair who stands about 5'10", 210lb clearly fit and very personable. The entire atmosphere evokes the charm of a small Italian trattoria, yet it's right here in our own Atlanta. Talk about ambience this place truly captures the spirit of Italy.
I chose to have my birthday dinner at this restaurant. I have never had this before and while doing my research it got a lot of good reviews. I'm gonna say this with some of the best Italian food that I have had. I would definitely go back to get more and I don't usually double back to restaurants. It was a very cozy spot. Not a huge restaurant, but just the right size. They were able to accommodate my table of seven. And we sit pretty close to the kitchen where we could see things happen. Our waitress was very attentive. Sometimes we felt a little rushed by her. We were waiting for a few more people to come before we decided to order. But I did feel like she was trying to rush us a little. But all in all she was a really nice lady, and gave a lot of good information when we asked about items on the menu. We tried a couple of different appetizers which I don't have pictured. We got the meatballs which are two ginormous meatballs. We also got the calamari, which was so good. I like that it came with two different dips. One was a marinara and the other was like a onion jam which paired really well with the calamari. We also got an order of the eggplant Parmesan. That was also very tasty. I have a texture thing with eggplant so I was only able to eat a little bit of it, but it was very good. And then we also got the crispy brussels sprouts. It comes with a poached egg on top, but I'm not really into runny egg yolk, so I passed on that to one of my other friends. And for dinner, my pasta of choice was. Taglierini Norcina. Which the noodles were made fresh it had sausage, truffle, cream, and parmigiana. Everything came out very fast and you can taste that everything was homemade and made very fresh. I'm definitely adding this to my list of top Italian restaurants and I will be recommending this to anyone that ask.
Ordered the taglierini bolognese, chicken piccata, and Caesar salad. They gave us bread fresh out of the oven for starter--very good. The bolognese was HUGE and tasty, just a mountain of pasta and sauce, a true bang for your buck. Chicken piccata (comes with spinach and mashed potatoes) was warm and delicious, felt like a warm hug on the stomach. I took off a star because the Caesar salad was a bit lackluster, it was too salty. Service was amazing, very attentive staff and manager, made the dining experience pleasant. Ambiance is nice and since the space is relatively small, it felt sort of intimate. The dress code is casual to elevated casual. It's like a place you could go for family meal, a casual date night, or a drink/meal after work with a coworker, but you wouldn't necessarily dine in alone here for a quick bite. Parking is solid, it's in a little plaza, you should have no trouble on parking.
Ok back again super good everything. Norcina pasta is amazing. Carbonara amazing. Penne ala vodka amazing. And the Caesar is amazing. We are super picky Caesar reviewers. So if we say it's good. It's perfect. Service is ten out of five. Serving sizes are enough for two lunches following dinner. Wine is good. And I'm picky about my wine. We go to tre vele average. I'll Fialkow is super good. But not as good as Cibo. It's our go to weekend night Italian.
The servers here are all very sweet. I mostly came here to drink after a bad day. In fact I think I ordered every drink on the menu and unfortunately cannot put the name of the cocktail to match the picture but they were all pretty nice. Especially the Aviation cocktail. I enjoyed the food that we had. I really liked the Caesar salad here as it was nice and heavy and had such a creamy flavor to it with the egg yolk. I am not a salad fan and really just wanted to drink and ordered a salad so I would not feel bad for wasting it if I could not eat it but I finished the whole thing because it was pretty tasty. I also ordered the meatballs as a side item before knowing how heavy the Caesar salad was going to be. The meatball size is big but kind of have has a meatloaf taste and texture. Pizza was okay. I am not a fan of anything with truffle on it but wanted to give the truffle pizza a shot and it was not too bad. Margherita pizza was good but for some strange reason I was expecting it to have the blobs of cheese on it instead of evenly distributed cheese. I am coming back here to try the other things on the menu and drink my heart out again very soon. Very good bartender making cocktails back there. Also... Considering the amount of alcohol we got the prices seem to be pretty reasonable.
I can't rave enough about my experience here. A friend and I walked in on Sunday early evening and we were sat right away. Also tons of parking outside. Once at our table our server came quickly and brought water and then returned with bread. Luis was fantastic! All meals were fantastic and we enjoyed our drinks as well, I got a French 75. We stayed awhile catching up and Luis was so courteous and we never felt rushed. I would absolutely come back again to try other meals but they have to put me in Luis section if he's working! :) great dinner and beautiful restaurant as well.
You guys the service here is soooo good! The waiters are so sweet and kind and they were really attentive to all of our needs! I was so shocked at how amazing the pasta was. I ordered the Penne something (forgot the name) but it was the BEST pasta I have ever had in a while! This is a low key spot that deserves more recognition! This was be a cute spot for a date due to how nice and clean it is inside!
We dropped in to have a great Italian dinner. We were not disappointed! Overall, great service, great recommendation, great food! Nothing to complain about! We'll be back.
We overall had a good experience here! Service: This was by far the most distinguishing factor in my opinion. Our server was only a week on the job but provided extremely high quality service, being very attentive and organized. Their staff worked as a team to provide the most efficient service and really had a great balance of attentiveness while not being overbearing. Food/Drinks: We ordered the carbonara and prosciutto pizza along with a Le Pupille 2018. The carbonara was excellent and the wine exquisite. The pizza was okay, but I would not say it's my favorite in town. The portion was very large, I will say. However, I would go for the pasta if I came back another time. Vibe: The restaurant was a bit dark for my taste lighting wise, but it made for a very intimate ambiance. The temperature was perfect (this is something I notice a lot given that I get cold easily). There were a ton of dates! Go for date night. The price was also very reasonable.
Definition of underrated. This unassuming, tiny door on a strip mall houses a minimal space with authentic charm, attentiveness, and delicious recipes. We came for a small work dinner, stayed for way too long and was never once rushed, or felt like we were burdening them. Why can't this dining experience be the norm and not the one-off. If I lived close, I'd be a regular.

We hadn't been to Cibo e Beve in many years, but decided to come in for a Sat night dinner with the kids. Everything was great, from the ambiance to the service to the food. The complimentary bread and olive oil was very tasty, and we had an excellent burrata salad for an app. Both entrees were great- we had the mushroom taglierini and the vodka penne. I love truffle-based pastas, and the taglierini had a great truffle and mushroom flavor. The sausage was good, and it didn't feel overly heavy. The penne dish was also great. Service was excellent. Parking is free also. read more
We've been here a few times over the years and always enjoyed the experience. We've been as a party of two, larger group of eight and last night a party of four. My dinner last night was absolutely delicious- every bite. I enjoyed it so much, that I didn't pay close attention to the other meals. I started with a Negroni. Then a caprese salad (huge portion I split with my wife). It comes with arugula which was unexpected but appreciated. For main, I had the oven roasted Branzino with potatoes and broccolini (large ones). The flavors and textures were amazing. I was in heaven. I wanted something light, and it was, but also full of flavor. A nice glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was perfect with it. We skipped dessert to get to a show. Parking is easy - a bit crowded in front but plenty of spaces around back. Service was excellent - attentive without being intrusive. The food and drinks arrived quickly. The best part was the check. Prices are reasonable. If you enjoy Italian food and a nice atmosphere, Cibo e Beve is a great choice and a great value. read more

The ambiance is perfect for a quaint small dinner, intimate date, or belated birthday celebration... which is what my friend and I came in for. Louis was great; he timed our meal perfectly with little unnecessary interruptions- definitely recommend seating with him. The linguine seafood pasta dish I dove into was amazing; the tiramisu as a complimentary dessert for my birthday outstanding!! Complimentary bread as well with the meal. The wine list is broad and if you're indecisive they allow you to taste the wine before ordering. Reds are my favorite, so both my friend and I started with a glass. Finishing off the meal (probably the only disappointment I truthfully felt) were the espresso martinis. $15 per martini... they tasted like straight vodka. We attempted to fix it by requesting some additional espresso and even put some chocolate from the dessert into the beverages, but neither worked. Overall, I would never order the martini again, but would dine again simply for the food and wine! *Make a reservation, parking is tight, and bread is complimentary. read more

We just came to sit at the bar for drinks. The ambiance was very nice and relaxing. The bartender was only marginally friendly, but kind of had an attitude when my colleague asked about the beers. My wine by the glass was $12, so not sure if that is the norm here. It does seem pricey for a moscato. It wasn't really busy here, but it it was a Monday night. The food that came out for the other guest next to us looked good. ***Revised Review*** I originally gave this a 3 star review, but then I noticed that they charged me $14.00 for a $12.00 glass. I really hate when businesses do the bait and switch more than anything. Overcharging is really my pet peeve. read more

Dining here was a 3.5 star experience. The meat and cheese board isn't anything special but we enjoyed the burrata salad. Espresso martinis were good. I enjoyed my chicken piccata and my partner enjoyed the chicken Parmesan (except for the noodles which were underwhelming). The biggest disappointment of the evening came When we tried to order dessert and were told we couldn't order because they closed the kitchen an hour early. We weren't warned of the kitchen closing and it was a Saturday night so it really dampened our evening. read more

One of the best Italian experiences I've had in Atlanta in a place I did NOT expect! Everything was so delicious, our server, Bryant, was professional, friendly and attentive. My pasta was as good as any I've had in the States-cooked perfectly. Generous portions (brought home more than half my meal and Bryant boxed it for me at the table). Love happy surprises and will definitely be back! read more

We really enjoyed Cibo e Beve for dinner. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is very nice, casual. The food was all fresh and nicely prepared. We had the buffala capressa and it was great. The tortellini was delicious. Veal parmigiana good but not the best I've had in Atlanta. Overall, a great experience. Thanks to a great team! This is a nice small restaurant. No reservations needed. We dined around 5pm when they were just opening up and seemed to still be sorting a few things out. The atmo here is really cute. Our seats were like small love seats and the decor, aside from the odd bicycle on the wall near the kitchen, was really nice. Our server was great and we enjoyed our dishes but hoped for a little more flavor to them. The lobster spaghetti came with plenty of lobster which I liked. My husband got the filet with potatoes which looked amazing. He also stated it was lacking seasoning. He said the potatoes were the star. I tasted a tiny bit of the filet and agreed to the lack of salt there. I would come here again to try different dishes and perhaps some drinks at the bar too. read more

I wanted to love this place more. Really, I did. My girlfriend and I dined here Saturday evening after making same-day reservations. Since I've heard so much praise and positive reviews of this place, I was VERY excited. We arrived after a couple, and the hostess, without greeting us, seated the couple, came back and answered the ringing phone. In the meantime, the manager approached the host stand to check on something, also did not greet us, and asked some questions of the hostess. Finally, we were asked if we needed a table for two. In response, I told her I made reservations. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant, at a cramped two-person table extremely close to other tables. I inquired about a booth, and the hostess simply said it was reserved, not making any further effort to accommodate a request to be seated elsewhere. I'm positive the entire restaurant could not have possibly been reserved as she was eager to seat us without reservation, so I'm confident she could have done just a bit more. Anyway, I digress. We were greeted quickly by our server and ordered the following: -Our Signature Cibo Meatballs: san marzano tomatoes, fresh ricotta, parsley -Our Signature Lobster Spaghetti: Maine lobster tail, spicy garlic wine sauce, tomato -Handmade Pappardelle: bolognese sauce The meatballs are large! They came out hot and steamy and the sauce is delicious. The ricotta is a great addition to the sauce to even out the flavor. However, these were more bread-like than meaty and for $12 for 3, I think they can spare a bit more meat. My plate, the lobster spaghetti, is good -- a thin, light sauce, slightly spicy, and lots of small pieces of lobster. This dish is good, but hardly unique or supreme, and definitely not worth the $30 a pop. The pappardelle was also not what I was expecting - it was completely buried in sauce, and really took away from the fresh pasta. I normally love this dish for its homemade pasta and light sauce, not to be fishing for pasta in a sea of sauce. The most disappointing part of my dining experience here was the service. Not once did I see any staff member smile - from the hostess to our server to the manager. We were seated directly next to a table who received incredible service from our server while we were practically ignored. I watched in awe as the server checked on the neighboring table 5x before asking us if we were "okay" in passing. She stopped to chat with them for minutes at a time. I sat with my iced tea empty while she refilled theirs not once, but twice. Only after I asked for a refill did she bring me one, and without simple syrup like I requested the first time. When the manager checked on us, I asked for more simple syrup and he seemed annoyed at the request. Again, no smile, no warmth. I hate to chalk my experience up to discrimination, but I felt the treatment was blatant. Every patron should be given the same level of service and I'm so disappointed my friend and I were deprived of this. I will not be returning. read more
