Cute hidden gem in Irvine~ Roosevelt coffee is located in a business plaza off of Jeffery. Parking can be tricky if there is a yoga class in the studio next door. Interior is small with some bar and table seatings. Quite a few people were studying in the store when we came. I got a cappuccino and my Bf got the caramel apple latte. I was a little bummed since the only milk alternative besides whole milk was oat milk. The cappuccino itself was good quality with milk foam on top. My BFs latte was not overly sweet and got good amount of apple and caramel flavor. Overall solid coffee shop with good service and cute vibes. Roosevelt Coffee is a hidden gem tucked away in the plaza. I tried the banana oat matcha, recommended by the barista, and it was absolutely delicious. The barista who took my order, Sydney, was an absolute sweetheart, and greeted me with a smile. I also had the blueberry scone, which was nice, though it had more of a bready texture rather than the traditional buttery, flaky layers you'd expect from a scone. By far one of my favorite coffee shops in Irvine. First of all, this place is pretty big and is perfect for studying/working. There is free wifi and outlets in areas (sadly no outlets for the booths, and it requires at least 2 people to take the booths). This place can get busy so I would just head there early to secure a good spot. The coffee has always been consistent. My wife loves their cappuccino and I love their seasonal items, especially the matcha yuzu spritzer. Also, the restrooms are really clean. I don't think coffee shops get better than this. read more

I LOVE ROOSEVELT. It is hands-down one of my favorite coffee shops to do homework, catch up with friends, or sit alone and read a book with some headphones in. The vibes are so nice here, sometimes the noise level can get a little high but the staff here are so friendly even at 8am in the morning and even at the ends of their shifts in the early evening. I always order a simple iced Americano here and the flavors are bold and makes my mornings so much easier to deal with. The booths at the end were all taken up when we got here around 1pm but they cleared out quickly so we got to sit in one! Outlets are scarce though. I got the vanilla latte with oat milk and it was nice and light (not too heavy on the sugar or coffee). This space is great for work meetings & study! There are booths in the back and seating all throughout the cafe. I was greeted by the workers who were happily walking me through the menu. I'd go again as it is closest to where I live but I'd say go if you are sitting there for some time and don't mind spending a lil extra. Honestly think it's such a smart idea to have a cafe in the academy plaza because it's a great place for casual conversation or for some work/studying, and the workers are really nice there. And it's super pretty and pristine, very modern and classy cafe interior. My friend and I got the strawberry oat matcha and peach spritzer. Peach spritzer was super refreshing, strawberry oat matcha tasted a bit bland and watered down at first but as I drank it got sweeter cause the syrup was mostly at the bottom of the cup. I'm not the biggest beverage person but have been getting into matcha lattes with oat milk recently, and this one was personally on the more expensive side because it was ~$9 without tip. New, Spacious, yet cozy! They also have booth with long table for about 6 people can fit in freely. I tried iced Vanilla Latte which I couldn't take my hands off of. I also ordered a scone (not dry, so tasty) and a croissant (crunchy outside, tender layered inside) besides coffees. Staffs are very nice and gentle. Tables are set apart, so you don't hear people next to you. It is newly opened, so it is pleasant and clean. Entrance and windows throughout the store makes the place bright. There is ample parking and the interior is modern, well spaced (both regular tables and a few booths), and the configuration allows for nice exterior lighting. The service is polite if not friendly. And the beverages are...well small and higher than the norm ($6.50 and up). They have an interesting assortment of seasonal drinks but the matcha was decent and was appropriately bitter but not quite as smooth as would have expected. The beverage did not stand out amongst the many competitors in the area but suppose it is a nice place to study or take a break from meetings. read more

I first discovered the place when I went to their holiday market. I loved that they bring in other local businesses to sell their products. 10/10!! The team here really gets to know you! They remembered my name and that was a real treat. Cherie is a hard name, so I appreciate it when places go above and beyond to go to know their guests. The latte.... Full of flavor and spice! Too bad it's just a seasonal flavor. I could drink this all year round. They should keep it and call it the OC. The croissant was fabulous! Just imagine....
