Loveeeed my first time. I haven't gone back because my nails all broke and I'm super picky about getting my nails done when they are short but that is definitely my place to go read more

This place was so clean, organized, and the people are so friendly! I was a bit nervous to get my nails done due to covid 19 but was immediately put to ease when I saw they are enforcing temp checks, a questionnaire, use of hand sanitizer, face shields, plexi glass, and a pristine/sanitary environment. Be sure to make an appointment first as they are very busy. My mom and grandma have come for several years and would also highly recommend! A great spot! read more

I got my nails done here and pedicure by this two new ladies here the one who did my nails was rude and rough she actually drill my finger plus they charge a lot and the job was done very sloppy and the one that did pedicure was no better so I went back the next day and told the owner what I thought about she offer to fix it but even after that still very weak broke 3 days after having this done. Overall a terrible experience won't be going back there $75.00 it's over price specially when it's done so poorly read more

Run if you see Jenny! She ripped a piece of skin from my left toe and left me bleeding. It's been 6 days and it still hurts! I might need to see a doctor if it doesn't get better by tomorrow. I will never come back to this place again. read more

I don't like to write negative reviews, but the service I received here definitely deems one. Jennifer helped me with fixing 3 of my acrylics that were starting to lift. I have another place I usually go to, but my usual girl is booked until next week, so I had to get the fix elsewhere, and this was the only place who would take me in last minute on the same day. I usually get gels, but because 3 of my nails are cracked on the side, so they had to use acrylic on those. Once I walk in I noticed there was NO AC, which is a huge minus when it's in the 80s. The place looks decent but was completely empty, now I know why. With no other customers there, Jennifer was in a hurry grinding down my acrylics and hurt me. Then when she nipped me again with her drill, I pulled back and made a soft squeal. Her response was to laugh at me and act frustrated, even looked at her coworker to make fun of me. My usual girl is very gentle and meticulous, but Jennifer was so rushed and rough with me when the place was empty. She also kept on talking badly about my usual tech about how she made it too thick and kept on asking me doesn't her work look so much better (who does that?). I also had to ask her a few times to apply another coat of color/glitter to match what I had on my other nails, and she acted like it was too much of a hassle when she should've done it herself if she took pride in her work. When I left, her application wasn't any thinner than what I had previously. But my main issue is with her attitude and lack of customer service (no dusting off, no wrist pillow, no cuticle oil afterwards). With no other customers, I don't see a need to rush, and she had no empathy when she hurt me. Her service makes this place feel like a butcher shop compared to my usual salon, where my tech would take her time and made me feel taken care of. I will never go back to this place and don't recommend anyone who cares about good service, want to be pampered, and being treated with care to come here. I am willing to drive further, pay more, and tip well for good service, but this not a place that deserves it. Cons: No AC in 80-90 degree weather Lack of customer service Rough with customers Do not dust off nail dust Rushed when there are no customers Not many gel color choices Pros: Decent-looking salon Took me in last minute Take credit cards read more

I love coming to Romantic Nails. It has a very relaxing atmosphere and the women don't gossip about you while they're doing your nails. They are all very friendly. Becky, the owner, has a great sense of humor (she's a bit dry, but if you catch on to that, you're bound to get some giggles). Becky is very helpful and knows what she's doing. I always make an appointment for a pedicure with Susan. She is wonderful and sweet. She never hurts my toes and gives an awesome, firm massage. The prices are very reasonable and I'm never afraid I'm going to get an infection - the shop and tools are very clean. Never going anywhere else. read more

this is thee best nail salon, i have ever been to ... the customer service is excellent ... they go out of their way to make u feel comfortable ... they waited 30 min. after it was already closed ... i would recommend this nail salon to everyone ... oh did i forget to mention this was all on a holiday ... and their work is flawless !!!! this place is the best. !!!! thank you romantic nails read more

I went to this nail salon today based on other Yelp reviews. I absolutely loved this place!!! I got a regular pedi, gel manicure and eyebrows waxed. Christine and Becky were great!!! They have great color selection, friendly staff. I was extremely satisfied with the service that I made an appointment for next month to have my nails done for my wedding!!!! read more

Excellent place, Becky is very friendly, professional and expert both in manicure and pedicure. Place is very clean, seats are very comfortable with massage function. Becky has a helping hand now who is very good as well. I have been Becky's client for many years now and am extremely satisfied by the services. Very highly recommended. read more

This place is hit or miss and mostly it's a miss. The owner is very moody and I've gotten attitude from several "technicians" when they realized they had to remove gel from my nails. Then they try to grind and file it off which only makes my nails thin and brittle. After trying this place 5+ times, I can't go back here anymore. read more

AMAZING !!!!! Great customer service, very sanitary, I'm usually super picky when it comes to nail salons and this place is the right place if you're also as picky as I'am when it comes to cleanliness, definitely coming back read more

I will never go to another nail salon. I've Only had Jenny and Becky, love them both. Kim did my friends mani/pedi and she loved it. They take their time, scrub you with tropical smelling scrub, massage you with warm massage cream, and they take so much cuticle off you realize you've been getting jipped at the they nail place you used to go to. Super clean, very friendly, the best! read more

Fabulous!! Everyone is so friendly! Becky did my gel nails for the first time I have ever had gels. They came out great and I love them! I love the fact that they have the matching color for your toes as well. Very clean salon. Make and appointment so they can give you their undivided attention, which they always do. I will be going back many times to come! read more

Becky and staff are super friendly and do a great job! Go for the mani/pedi and you'll be sure to relax.

This nail salon is absolutely amazing! My mother and I went for the first time this week because we have family members who go here and they gave us gift cards. I can honestly say it was worth every second! I was falling asleep during my foot massage and they do such beautiful work. The best part is that Becky, Jen, and Susan are such nice women to talk to and get pampered by at the end of a long work day, thanks ladies! I'll definitely be back soon :) read more

I normally don't write reviews but I have to take my time now to give Becky a thumb up ! My work got so busy that I would be late for my appointment ! I've called her and she said she would wait for me ! I got there 30 minutes late :-( ! I noticed that eventho it was kind of late at night but she wasn't rushed , trying to finish her job fast so she can go home! She took her time making sure all my nails are done perfectly ! That is another thing I like about Becky besides her experienced work ! Every time I walk out of her salon , I'm always satisfied ! ! read more

Here is my review. It is in my history but I am not seeing it on the site, so here it is again: I was given a gift certificate to see Becky by an impeccably groomed friend who is extremely particular about her nail care. Her high praise was not exaggerated in the least. It has been a pleasure to follow Becky from her former establishment to Romantic Hair and Nails, the new salon she has opened on her own (congratulations!). She has created a calm environment that is greatly improved from the business at which she formerly worked. Becky is committed to providing the best experience possible and her commitment to excellence is rare in the service industry. Having frequented salons at everything from resort spas to neighborhood strip malls, I can attest to her exceptional combination of superior quality with reasonable rates. I have also been impressed by how quickly Jennifer, who recently joined the team, has achieved the high standards established by Becky. Highly recommended. read more

I decided to try romantic nails after trying several other nail salons in the area. They always did a good job The first time but when I would go back again it was always a sloppy job. I'm pretty picky about where I go and there's always things I look for when choosing a new place. This place has it all! It's VERY clean, they have a great selection of gel color (as well as regular polish), the staff is super friendly and most importantly they do a great job! I got a gel manuicure and pedicure and it felt so good and relaxing that by the time I was done I was ready for a nap. My nails came out gorgeous (despite being butchered by the last salon I went to) and for the service and quality of service I got the price was more than fair. Really happy that I found a great place and I can't wait to come back again! read more

I've been through most nail salons in Arcadia , Monrovia, even Duarte. I will never leave Romantic nails. I've found my home.

Becky the owner makes you feel at home right away. I would also like to add that I have never had a better pedicure in my life. I am talking about sugar scrub and heating lotion and a complete below the knee massage??? Oh my, This was a real experience - Thank you Susan ;-). And my manicurist Carol had the nicest touch. I fell asleep and had to look down to see if my hands were still a part of my body. Together these ladies make a holy trinity of spa bliss. ;-) THANK YOU. read more

I have been going to Becky for years! She is fabulous, but beyond the skill of her and her staff this is by far the cleanest salon I have ever been to. She goes well beyond what is required to ensure the salon is top notch! I will never go anywhere else! read more

You would think that as much as I love food, my first Yelp review wouldn't be for a nail salon! But this place is wonderful! They are so meticulous and never rush you! The place is clean and relaxing. It's a bit pricier than my last place (where I was a customer for over 10 years) but it's worth every penny! read more

Just a really great nail salon. Great selection of colors, the chairs are clean and comfortable- and Becky is a joy to be around. Love this place! They aren't pushy like other salons, and don't force you to get any upgrades. Highly recommended! read more

This is one of the best pedi places I've been to in Monrovia. I've tried a few around town and I like this place the most. The ladies who work there never pressure you for idle chit chat. They will converse but they also leave you be if you're not in the mood to chat. They also do good work and always make sure you like the shape while they're working on you. The place is always clean and they're always accommodating to my last minute drop ins. In my opinion those are the most important qualities in a mani/pedi spot. read more

I love Romantic Nails. My gel always lasts a long time, and I get so many complements after I get my nails done here. So friendly and accommodating too! They always try to squeeze me in around my schedule, and tell me realistically if the nail art ideas I find on Pinterest will work or not! read more

Recently started going to Romantic Nails after taking a break from getting my nails done. Loving it and recently went back to the SNS (dip). Nails look great, smooth with no bumps, and the shape is just the way I like it! Thank you Becky! read more

I came for a pedicure and the service was amazing, they did everything they're supposed to and even used clean tools. If it weren't for them I wouldn't have realized that the place I used to go to was giving me toe fungus because they weren't using new tools they were reusing the same ones over and over again. Very nice place, sanitary, the people are nice, and the dog is really cute lol :) read more

I have been a client of Becky's for more than 5 years. I been with her from Urbane to Fox and Hair and now in her own place. She is the best there is! I have a tendency toward ingrown toe nails and Becky keeps them in check. Becky and her staff are knowledgeable, warm, friendly and very professional. The salon has been completely redesigned and refit and everything is top notch. You can't do any better than Romantic Nails. read more

I always get wonderful service and a great pedicure at Romantic Nails. Becky and the other ladies are very friendly and courteous. I am a diabetic and so I have to be very careful of my feet. Becky has been my pedicurist for 5 years now, and when she left her previous salon to start her own, you better believe I followed her. I highly recommend Becky to any one that has problem feet. Your feet will feel 20 years younger when you leave. read more

I live in San Gabriel, but a few of my friends come to this salon so I decided to drive over to Old Town Monrovia! Cute little place right off of Foothill and one of the best pedicures I've ever had! MY NAILS GOT INFECTED! DONT COME HERE! I rarely leave negative reviews on Yelp cause I believe most business on yelp work hard, so they can get good reviews. I totally respect that and usually leave good reviews if there's nothing major that annoys me. BUT, This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star! I came here few weeks back wanted to take my acrylic nails off. For some reason, the lady was in a rush when there was literally only one customer in the store. When I said I wanted to take the nails off, she said"well, next time.." Then refilled my nails.. I got confused cause I thought I was here to pay her for what I WANTED my nails to be done, not what SHE WANTED to do. But I didn't say anything cause I thought my acrylic nails looked fine, a refill would actually save some time. So I listened to her. but, FOR THE WHOLE TIME, she was in a rush, again for no reason, and she did my nails so rough that I flinched, and my fingers bleed a little bit.. And of course she just refilled my nails very roughly looking like she's trying to finish very quickly(not mentioning how ugly my nail art was) then after few weeks when I went to another nail salon to take off my nails today, my nails got infected(in their pictures)! The lady at the new salon told me she can just tell how unprofessional and terrible the person did my nails, and that's why my nails got infected! And now I have to go to the drug store to busy some medicine for my nails! The whole experience was just HORRIBLE at this nail salon!! If you want your nails get infected, you are welcome to come here! read more
