I had the best pedicure here ever! I used to get pedicures often but stopped a couple of years ago. My pedicure stylist was Hannah and she made me feel so special and relaxed. I got the nicest pedicure package they offered, it was $72 base price, $92 total with gel polish. The package included so many things i've never experienced in a pedicure before and it felt so nice; There was hot wax in two forms (a candle and paraffin wax), clay, orange slices, a warmed shoulder compress, and salt scrub. So luxurious! My sister got gelx extensions on her toes from Grace and she was also very happy with the results. Both Grace and Hannah were amazing, as well as the other ladies in the salon, EVERYONE WAS SO KIND AND PERSONABLE!! We will definitely be back, that pedicure was to die for! read more

After interacting with the manager, I don't even feel like coming to this place. She acts like the salon is fully booked and that her schedule is super busy. I had a family emergency and couldn't make my appointment. I didn't think to call as I was extremely distracted and when the manager called me she was extremely rude and mocked me when I tried to apologize and explain. When I tried to rebook my appointment she said no because I had canceled. Idk how someone like this can be the manager and she needs to fix her attitude. Avoid this place. read more

I could not recommend this place enough! My first time coming by and immediately the staff was so kind, hospitable, and welcoming! I felt right at home. I absolutely adore them. Such a great experience! Winnie is amazing - she did my Gel-X in literally 30 minutes and they came out better than a high-end salon I used to go to that charged me $100+. I have been going to Winnie and her employees at Excellent Nail Spa for a builder gel mani/gel pedi since March and I'm so glad I made the switch! When entering, I'm immediately greeted by them and am offered a beverage. The service is beyond five stars - not only is everyone very kind and respectful, but the work they do is incredible, efficient & fairly priced! I decided on coming here after thorough research and trying to find the best place to get my nails done and this is forever going to be the place I come from now on. Winnie is going to be my nail tech until further notice haha she is absolutely incredible. I asked for a design and she delivered and made it even better. LOVE Winnie and her team. I found her over a year ago when she was working at a nearby salon but was very happy to hear she opened her own shop. I found Excellent Nails on Yelp yesterday and chose them because of their great reviews. Scheduled an appointment through Yelp as well and Winnie was so accommodating working with my times requested. I walked in today for my appointment and right away was greeted by Winnie and she knew it was me granted it was my first time there. Jimmy also greeted me asked me if I'd like something to drink and was super friendly. Mia did my toes and she was amazing, friendly and gentle. Diane resurrected my nails and spent so much time fixing them to my liking. She was so sweet and gentle too. I felt it was meant to be as my the 2 most important women in my life are also named Mia & Diane. What a great experience I had there, the energy was amazing. We all laughed and talked. Winnie did my pedicure, she normally doesn't do pedis but she did mine to help the other girls out. Great pedicure. Toes feel clean and polished was painted 10/10. Mia did my gel manicure with hard-gel. She was nice, and her work was clean, not rushed and flawless. She paints well, does great nail shape, and is attention to detail. First time coming in and I was welcomed right away. The guy offered something to drink and had me sit right away so I didn't wait unattended at all, which was nice. I got a gel pedicure and manicure with acrylic big toes added, I went with the higher priced package to check out the experience. I love my manicure, the gel is very pretty and my nails are shaped beautifully. The pedicure experience wasn't the best but my toes and feet are cleanish. I had acrylic on all of my toes prior and she didn't soak them off, she just buffed what she could but it did ok. Price was a bit high for the experience but I understand there's a business to run. zero stars!!!!…read more absolutely furious. absolutely outraged. absolutely disgusted. my sweet, respectful, polite, shy young daughter went into this salon expecting a peaceful, relaxing nail appointment. instead, she was completely ignored, bulldozed, pressured, overcharged, and treated with a shocking level of disrespect. we called ahead and specifically made an appointment for dip nails with tips. we knew exactly what we wanted. we requested dip nails with tips multiple times. there was no confusion. after putting on the tips, the technician proceeded to apply gel x instead. we immediately spoke up and corrected her. not once. multiple times. we said dip nails. we called for dip nails. my daughter asked for dip nails. instead of listening to the paying customer, this woman looked us in the eyes with her beyond evil bad energy and argued with us and tried to tell us what we should want. she acted as if our opinion didn't matter and as if she had the right to override the service we specifically booked and were paying for. how dare you look us into the eyes with your beyond evil eyes,bad energy eyes and soul and ignore a customer's request over and over again? how dare you decide you know better than the person paying for the service? as if that wasn't enough, the technician also made my daughter's nails much longer than she asked for. my daughter specifically requested a shorter length, but her request was completely ignored. when we asked for them to be shortened, the technician refused. what makes this even more infuriating is that this happened to a sweet, shy, respectful young girl. her kindness was taken for weakness. her politeness was taken as permission to steamroll right over her. she was completely disregarded while an adult continued doing whatever she wanted. we should have walked out the second she ignored our requests. the only reason we stayed was because she had already glued the tips on my daughter's nails and we felt put in a position where we had no choice but to continue. looking back, i regret not getting up and leaving right then and there, even if the job wasn't finished. no customer should ever be made to feel trapped into a service they did not want simply because the technician decided to proceed against their wishes. we clearly stated what we wanted multiple times, yet our requests were completely dismissed. once the tips were already applied, it felt like the decision had been taken out of our hands. that is not how paying customers should be treated. then to add insult to injury, we were charged even more, $60 instead of the $50 we were told over the phone when we made the appointment for dip with tips! we were charged extra for a service we did not want, did not request, and tried to stop multiple times. and the part that makes me even angrier? we actually left a tip. we should not have. after being completely disrespected, overridden, violated, robbed, and ripped off, we still left a tip out of decency, a decency that was never shown to us in return. a nail appointment is supposed to be relaxing. it is supposed to be a treat. instead, this experience left us feeling violated, robbed, manipulated, and completely disrespected as paying customers. please do not spend your hard earned money here unless you want your requests ignored, your voice dismissed, violated, robbed, and your wallet emptied for services you never asked for. i have never been so angry after a nail appointment in my life. watching my sweet, respectful, polite, shy daughter be treated this way filled me with a level of rage that words can barely express. this was completely unprofessional, completely unacceptable, and absolutely disgraceful. shame on this salon.

they are criminals, racist who charged you based on the color of your skin. called for a pink and white fill. they told me that it would cost me 44.00 i arrived there another customer was there getting the same thing. a white woman. they charged her 44.00. when it was time for me to pay they charged me 54.00. these people are a bunch of crooked Vietnamese. they don't like certain people. some of them can be very sweet. and their are some who are just bold face racist. people who came from a poor country treating other people in this country like they are better than them. it was their way of charging $10.00 extra for tip without my permission and say its for the service. one week later the nail fell off my hand. stay away from there. they are just money hungry and used the worse material. the place is very tight and tacky. they also saw the car that I drove up in and thought I had money. shop around, you will find better places and people who will do a better and treated you better read more

Extremely Disappointed - Never Again! I had an awful experience at this nail salon. The staff was rude and inattentive, barely acknowledging me when I walked in. The place didn't feel clean, and the tools didn't seem properly sanitized. My nail technician rushed through my service, leaving my nails uneven and messy. The polish started chipping the very next day! On top of that, they overcharged me for services I didn't ask for and refused to fix the mistakes. I've found my new nail salon. Looked online for a good review and went here. So glad I did. Went in for hot gel nails and Winnie and I decided to do "Dip" instead. She did a remarkable job. They look very beautiful and are thin like I asked. Had a wonderful cup of hot green tea and.... They offer Mimosa's. Will have my next appointment at cocktail hour... I tried this nail salon for the first time and was really impressed! It's a smaller spot, but they have a huge selection of colors and the team is so warm and welcoming. They offer mimosas, water, and other drinks, which makes the whole experience extra relaxing. The owner makes you feel right at home. I got a deluxe pedicure with gel and a manicure, and both were done beautifully. Prices are very reasonable, and the two women who worked on me were so pleasant and friendly. This place is the best in town!! Winnie is truly an artist, and the hospitality is so good. They offered me and my friend drinks, conversed with us throughout, even entertained another guests kid while the lady got her nails done. Not only that but they're super efficient and the nails are QUALITY. They got both me and my friend out of there within 1 hour and 45ish minutes, and Winnie did both of us without any other help. I called to make an appointment for two people. when we got there, there only took my partner and had my feet wading in the water for about 40 minutes. Thinking that my toes looked like raisins, I wiped them off and got out. Little did I know, my visit would turn into one of the most relaxing self-care days I've had in a long time! Located in the now-busy Huntington Oaks Plaza, between The Little Gym and Five Below, D'vine is a great addition to the shopping center. The location is hard to miss and offers plenty of space inside. When I arrived, one of the staff members, "V" mentioned that their highly recommended scalp specialist was in that day and suggested I try their 60-minute Head Spa treatment instead. Since they're currently offering 30% off services over $95, and the head spa is normally $125, I figured it was the perfect excuse to try something new. First of all, the space is beautiful and HUGE--it may very well be the largest nail and spa lounge in Monrovia. Everything felt clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. The head spa room has five beds with privacy dividers, although I had the entire room to myself during my visit. Helen was my head spa specialist, and she was absolutely AMAZING. As someone who enjoys visiting head spas in the San Gabriel Valley because they remind me of home, I already had high expectations--but Helen took the experience to another level. The head spa did not include a scalp analysis with a microscope, but honestly, I never felt like I was missing out on anything because the actual treatment itself was so relaxing and well-executed. The experience included a neck and shoulder massage with essential oils, a deep hair wash and conditioning mask, hair steaming, and a facial, all seamlessly incorporated into the service. She also used several different hair and scalp tools throughout the session that made the experience feel extra luxurious and high-tech. There were at least three different gadgets used on my hair and scalp, each adding something unique to the treatment. But honestly, as nice as the gadgets were, nothing beat Helen's hands. Her pressure was perfect, and her scalp massage alone was worth the visit. If you've ever had a massage where the therapist somehow finds every spot carrying stress and tension, that's exactly what Helen did. One feature I especially loved was the foot and leg compression massager she wrapped around my legs while working on my scalp. It gently squeezed and massaged my calves throughout the treatment, which was such a nice surprise. On top of that, my legs were elevated on a wedge-style pillow that made the entire experience even more comfortable. It sounds like a small detail, but it made a huge difference in helping me fully relax. I enjoyed the head spa so much that I decided to stay and have Helen do my pedicure as well. Best decision ever! She paid attention to every detail and made me feel completely pampered from start to finish. What was supposed to be a quick walk-in pedicure turned into a 2-hour self-care retreat, and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. Between the head spa, facial, neck and shoulder massage, leg compression therapy, and pedicure, I walked out feeling completely relaxed, refreshed, and stress-free. And if you're thinking about trying the head spa, consider this your sign. Between Helen's magical hands and the current 30% off promotion for services over $95, I'd say my wallet and I had a brief disagreement--but my scalp won. I walked in expecting nothing more than a simple pedicure and somehow ended up giving myself the spa day I didn't know I needed. I regret absolutely nothing. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of the discount during their soft opening period. Your wallet may complain for a minute, but your scalp, legs, and stress levels will thank you for weeks. ‍
