I came to RainRiver on a Friday morning without an appointment. I was seen right away and Lily did my gel manicure. She was so kind and polite. I appreciated that she cared to get the nail length correct and didn't try to push me to have long nails (I prefer shorter). She also was very thorough in painting and shaping my nails. She had polite conversation with me which I really appreciated. Some salons I've been to they don't try to talk to you at all, but Lily was so kind and made the entire experience so wonderful. I had a very disappointing experience at Rainriver Nails. My nails looked messy, and it was sloppy work and had some dents, uneven shaping, and looked like a kid did it, and were wide and fat so I politely asked if they could be fixed. She was annoyed when I showed her my pic I wanted to copy. Buuut Instead of addressing the issues I pointed out, the technician grabbed my hand, held it down, and began cutting off my nails. I never asked for my nails to be cut and did not give permission for that service. I only wanted the uneven shaping and dents corrected. The handling felt rough and uncomfortable, and I was shocked that my nails were cut without my consent. When I told her that wasn't what I wanted, she simply told me to pay for the pedicure only. By then, my nails had already been cut much shorter than I wanted, and the situation could not be undone. Such lack of communication and respect for what I had actually requested. Customers should be listened to and asked before any significant changes are made to their nails like grabbing a hand and cutting off the nails. And based on this experience, I would not return. read more

I decided to try this new salon as I've driven passed by and seen it and it opens early at 9. I went this morning right when it first opened. There was no body else in the salon except me and this one manicurist. She asked me what I wanted and I said I wanted gel manicure. She told me to look at the samples and pick a color. I was looking through them and she rushed me to the chair. I barely sat down and was still looking through the samples and she took one of my hands and started working on it. I had my cross body purse in my lap and I didn't even have time to properly untangle my cross body purse and sit down. I was left with one free hand to finger through the samples while I sat awkwardly in my chair. At that point, I said give me a second please to put my purse away and find a color. I've been doing gel for 8 years now and I've never felt this rushed to pick a color. I normally pick white but fall is here and I wanted to pick a warmer color and was still deciding between a few colors. She didn't try to help me decide or put samples on my nails to show me the colors. I quickly picked a color. Long story short , I won't be going back. I don't understand the bad service because there was no one waiting. The owner needs to train their staff to be patient, more helpful and friendly. read more

I came here 2 days ago, after not having my nails done for almost 2 months having high expectations, my nail broke a week ago so I came in and told the worker it broke thinking I could get it fixed with acrylic as I usually do (even if I pay extra) she left my nail broken and painted over it no shape no nothing just left them as they were and did gel. I wasn't going to leave a review because I really didn't care to. But after seeing the comment left by the owner on my girlfriend's review, I figured I'd speak up. The owner is blatantly lying about services she said I asked for so she can justify extra charges in cost. I did not ask for an extra callus remover. That's completely false. The person who was helping me barely spoke. She mainly gestured with her hands and affirmed things I wanted done with her head movements (nodded and shook her head). The only things she really said were "mhm" and "ok". You should check your cameras and the audio recordings to verify what happened before you insinuate we did things that never actually occurred. Instead of apologizing for the poor service, you try to scold my girlfriend and I. How pathetic. Shame on you! That's unacceptable behavior by a business owner. Also I wasn't able to leave a tip because you only accept cash tips and I only had my credit card. Have the option for leaving the tip on an electronic form of payment, so more of your customers can tip. All that said, I wouldn't come back here. Overpriced. Service is not that great. Owner needs better customer care. Lastly, get your restroom electrical work done correctly and up to code. You literally have a wire plug hooked up to an outlet, then to a switch, through a PVC pipe normally used for plumbing to provide power to the bulbs for the bathroom light fixture. All held up by screws held in by drywall. Wtf. Not professional. read more

LOVE RainRiver! Fair pricing, the ladies are so nice, it's comfortable, and super peaceful. They get busy, but are always willing to try and help squeeze me in when possible. Very polite and talkative if you want, but also respectful when you've had one of those long days and your social battery is drained, lol. She's so thorough and did such a nice job working on each toe and taking extra care to clear away all the cuticle and that part of the nail that begins to dig into the nail bed. Went in yesterday after I called the salon and verified the prices, I had asked if one of there technicians was there (Amie) I was told that she was on vacation. I spoke with a man, and explained to him that I was new to the salon and what the cost was for a regular polish mani pedi and they said $30. I then asked how much more for gel he had said $40. I went in and Nancy told me to get a gel soak off instead of regular polish, I took her advice since I had already called. The services where okay. My toenails where unevenly cut, and ended up severing one of my toes.. When I came to payment they charged me an additional $36 for gel?! I tried to explain to them that they couldn't do that since I called and asked for the prices before hand, both of the owners, Nancy embarrassed me in front of the customers and told me I had to pay because they charged for gel separately. I WAS NOT TOLD THIS BEFORE HAND! I feel like Nancy up charged me significantly more after I told her that I wanted REGULAR nail polish. Embarrassed and pressured I ended up paying for the services since it was already closing time and didn't want to make a scene. This is a fairly new place, and therefore is usually not busy and it's clean. Both Nancy and Aimee do a great job with acrylics. This place is on the pricey side but my nails usually last up to 3 weeks and they always look nice and fresh, so the reality is that you get what you pay for at the end of the day, and in this case is worth it. One tip, they do not rush, they take their time to do their job so don't think you'll be able to go in and out in an hour plan to spend at least an hour and half here, it's so worth it. read more

My boyfriend did not ask for callus remover, he asked for the $30 pedicure and you guys charged $2 extra due to Covid. $32 was his charge, Idk why you're lying about the callus remover.
