Found this place and so happy I did. The last salon I went to was very rough filing my nails and left them pretty thin. RainRivers has very pleasant techs that do a great job with listening to you as they work on your mani/pedis. They are thorough and mindful with their work; very client focused. Both times I've been here, they are adequately staffed for the number of clients they work on; which is very nice. They have a good selection of dip manicure colors (which is what I normally get) as well as gel and traditional nail polishes. Prices are reasonably as well. Well with that being said I meet LILLY at a nail shop close to where I live I'm in NELA we meet over 10 years she's amazing very professional and thorough, and about 2 years ago she and her sister NANCY decided to venture out on their own, opening up their own nail salon in Monrovia , in the San Gabriel Valley minutes off the 210 freeway one block north of freeway. So I'm writing this review today because LILLY & NANCY are not just friends they both treat their clientele like family and I'm not kidding about that , they will give you amazing service for a fair price and treat you with great care and respect. Today was my first time going. I never get my nails done and my husband had surprised me with a gift certificate to here. First off, love that they have a lot of parking behind. I went a few minutes after opening on a Saturday! I was seen right away without an appointment. I had an idea in mind of what I wanted. Acrylic nails with gel! After I chose what I wanted Nancy had me take a seat with her. From the moment we interactive she was kind, patient, and I felt like I had known her for years. What I really liked was how she opened up the menu and went over pricing before we got started. This way there is no surprises. From my understanding what I wanted would have been about 30 for acrylic and then another $18 for gel. That's the only bummer to me was this place seemed a little pricey.. but please read the whole review so you understand why I still have 5 stars. She was patient and understanding that I made the decision to switch to regular polish and even went above and beyond to pick out a similar color for me. We began the process and she made sure after every step that I was happy so in case I wasn't she had the chance to make it right. She is very detailed and honestly for this I can agree with their pricing. You get what you pay for... quality! We talked and when we did I genuinely felt like she cared to get to know me. I explained I never do things like this for myself and she even convinced me to do sparkly glitter on my accent nails to how some fun! She was right! She even remembered my husband and son coming in to pick up the gift certificate for me and had mentioned how he almost left without it. Haha with all this said, I will be going back. Gel never stays. It's frustrating considering how much they charge. I'll have a nice gel manicure for 4 days then it will start to chip. It never fails. I never have this issue anywhere else.
