Maggie did my gel acrylic nails with silver ombré. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did exactly what I showed! With the cheap price of $35, my nails turned out great and I am very satisfied with them. My friend did acrylic with regular nail polish (the red) and paid $23 ($1 extra for paying with card) and she also loves them. Cindy did a great job! She was patient and pleasant. She understood that I wanted quality and she gave me that. I asked for a narrow and a natural look. You could tell she tried her best. Cindy always checked with me to see if I liked it. I highly recommend her. It was her idea to put some extra sparkle on the ring fingers because I chose a simple one and she was right! It looks way better! The only suggestion I would have is to clean cuticle. I asked her to clean them up for me because she started to put on the fake nails before cleaning cuticles; and she did. (Maybe this is something they do after or you would have to ask for) it was 4:30 pm and they had a busy day so I was understanding. In addition, ask to clean up around the fingers and under the nail for the extra acrylic. Maggie is my holy grail nail tech! I first came to her for acrylic nails and my gosh it was the first time ever that the acrylic nails didn't lift and get stuck in my hair when I run my fingers through my hair! The acrylic nails lasted more than 6 weeks and never lifted. I was able to get them filled twice afterwards too. After a acrylics I went back to gel nails and it was amazing as well. Maggie recently helped me fix my dip nails nightmare and they came out looking so natural and beautiful. The dip is growing out but has not even lifted. The staff were very nice, however, my nails did not turn out as well. I asked for a gel manicure, with a different dark blue glittery color on both my ring fingers. Not only did they not tell me they ran out of the color I wanted, the colors that was applied turned out to be different on both my hands. One was purple, and the other was green. On top of that, my cuticles were not pushed back or taken care of, and the polishing was sloppy (the polish got on my skin). I didn't complain and gave them 2 stars anyway, because the people were nice and friendly. But unfortunately, I don't think I will return again. read more

Being a long time Holly Nails customer, I don't venture out to different nail salons often. However, when I found out Cindy had left, I decided to show my support for her. My mother is a long time customer of hers, but I know of Cindy's work and definitely wasn't scared to have her do my nails. Located in Arcadia next to the golf course, it's relatively easy to find with plenty of parking. Cindy was able to take me even though I called late in the day. Arriving about 15-20 minutes before my appointment, Cindy was able to start immediately. I'm a gel manicure girl, I know what colors I like and how I like my nails shaped. I will say colors are a bit different from the sample nails, as I think the samples are from the previous owners, however, Cindy informed me she purchased new colors, so no old ones. From looking around the salon, there are plenty of colors to choose from. Is this a fancy place? No, this is Arcadia and I understand I do pay for what I get. I used to go to Holly Nails but recently found out that Maggie now works at A&A. So, I called in earlier today to make an appointment for the afternoon. I saw a cute nail design on Pinterest, so I showed it to Maggie when it was my turn. She didn't have the exact colors as the picture but was still able to make it work really well, to my delight. The entire process took about an hour and a half, but the design was pretty intricate so I'm fine with it. I really like the matte texture! Really interesting and something new from my usual glossy nails. It ended up being $36 for the gel matte manicure, a very fair price. I would definitely NOT recommend this salon shop as they are A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. I came to get my nails done here on a Monday late afternoon at 5pm. I walked in and there were two workers, both working on someone. Initially, it was a good atmosphere and they seemed friendly. Then, 15 minutes into waiting, another woman walks and says she needs her nails to be fixed. They had seated me at the back of the salon away from everyone else and the lady assured me that they were going to be quick and they would only fix one nail of the other customer. I said sure and I waited patiently. 30 minutes into my experience at this salon, they called the other lady up to fix her nail and it was then that I realized something was wrong. They took off all her nail polish and they started taking off her acrylics to replace them. That is SURELY not a "quick" job for "one nail". They should have at least told me that it would take a while but rather they yelled at me in the end and told me to sit down and wait for a longer time. I can't believe I sat in this salon for a good 40-45 minutes without having my nails worked on. read more

New owners!! The place is located in a small strip center, next to the Arcadia golf range. I am in love with my new nails. Cindy was my technician and she was so patient with me. I wanted the pointed nails, but not "too pointed". So she stayed and shaped it to the exact shape that I wanted. Heard they just took over the place two weeks ago, friendly and capable. I just showed her one of the Instagram pic and she was able to do the exact thing with the exact color. I am super picky too but at least I was precise and direct with my request. Place was not crowded, I think because it's new and previous owner must have left a big mess so no one really knows about this place yet. Friendly people.
