I had a disappointing experience during my recent visit. I called at 11:37 AM to schedule my appointment and was flexible with my timing. Despite arriving on time, I waited approximately 30 minutes before being seen and ended up being late to my next appointment. What was especially frustrating was the explanation I received. While waiting, I overheard staff discussing that the schedule should have been arranged differently and that more time should have been allocated for a previous client. Later, I was told the delay was due to other customers arriving late and that appointment times cannot be guaranteed. Respectfully, how the salon manages its schedule should not become the customer's responsibility. If significant delays are expected, customers should be informed in advance. I have been to this salon before for both my nails and toes and had a positive experience, which is why I decided to return. Unfortunately, this visit was very different. The issue was never the price. I don't mind paying for quality work. I understand that nail removal is a service that should be paid for, and I have no issue paying for professional removal. However, I was told the removal cost more because it takes longer and is done more carefully. After the service, my natural nails were left with visible roughness, uneven surfaces, and divots. The manager told me that the damage could not be smoothed out, which left me questioning why more of the product was not soaked off rather than continuing to file the nail. If the end result is visible roughness, divots, and damage to my natural nails, it is difficult to understand the value of paying a premium for the service. If my nails were going to be left in this condition, I could have removed the product myself at home without paying for professional removal. What was most frustrating was feeling dismissed when I raised my concerns. The service was only discounted after I spoke up. Had I not said anything, I would have paid full price for a service that left my nails in this condition. I have attached photos of my nails before and after removal so others can see the difference for themselves. I am leaving this review because customers deserve clear communication, respect for their time, and services that match what is being promised. I took my child to have a mani & pedi on Sunday Feb 2. The service was mediocre. My child has gone to get her nails done at different salons and they always soak hands and feet, the normal procedures. They said they don't do that for kids, which, is ridiculous to me. They wanted her to be in a station that had clearly not been cleaned since the previous client, there was buffing dust and nail clippings; I literally had to tell them to clean it or switch stations. I have been coming here over 3 years. My two daughters, partner and I love this place. All the manicurists from the Tina, Eva, Lisa, Teresa, and of course the boss lady Helene, everyone is so talented and courteous. They all take time to make sure that your manicure and pedicure are perfection and beautiful. Normally we don't have to get our nails done for at least 6 weeks. It has been over five years since I started coming to Envie for all my nail and pedicure needs with Hellen and Katie, and I don't think I could ever betray them! Hellen has always been my go-to for getting my nails done, whether acrylic or gel-x. She has never failed me on any design I have asked for and has never said no to a design I brought her. She always tells me she cannot do the same, but she always tries to make it as similar as possible! I honestly would have to say I might be one of the more challenging clients to work with because both of my middle fingernails grow out crookedly, so it's hard to find techs who know what they're doing and how to make them perfectly straight without having me to tell them or twist my finger in any way to make it look right. Katie has always been my favorite person to go to when it comes to getting a pedicure! She is always precise and professional with every client and every appointment. She always takes every step to complete the job to the fullest extent! She is always extremely friendly and communicative with her work! Every time I get a pedicure with her, it is done perfectly! I've been coming to this nail salon for years and they do not disappoint. They are appointment only so I suggest giving them a call before coming in. Every time, I couldn't be happier with the service I received. I've gotten my nails done from Hellen, Katie and Lyna and they are all wonderful. They are super detailed and always comply to your request. If you show them a photo of the nails you would like, they can recreate it easily or provide different suggestions to get to the look you want to achieve. The salon itself is super clean and has a relaxing and inviting atmosphere with modern decor and comfortable seating. They are a little pricier than other nail salons nearby BUT I have to say it's because the service and the products they use are unmatched. I would get the gel x and it usually last about a month with an occasional filler to clean it up a bit. I'm always happy leaving their salon. I've been to this place twice now and the first time I went here on 2/12, I had a really good experience with my gel mani and pedi. I remember the gel mani was like $35 and i forgot what the pedi price was, but the total of my requested designs were additional pricing, so it all came out to be $95. This time around i decided to just get a gel mani with the cute tree branch design on my thumbs for both hands and it came out to be $40. I was also really impressed by (i think it was Helen)'s artwork, because she did exactly what i showed her for the picture on my phone and fast! Other places do not compare, so i appreciate her expertise and efficiency so much. The only thing I'm just bummed about was that this second time around my gel mani chipped in less than 2 weeks compared to when i first got a mani and pedi that lasted almost a month. Maybe last time i wasn't so active since i was on vacation compared to this time around when I'm constantly typing on my computer at work, playing sports and also dying my hair lol. I also felt kinda awkward talking to the nail tech (not helen) that did my nails at times to let her know i wanted some designs before she puts on more coating since the she was talking to the other workers across the room. I kinda wish i could get to know more of the nail techs there and build a relationship with them, but i think there may be a language barrier. Also, I think the first time i went, i got seated right away with an appointment, but the 2nd time around i accidentally made the wrong turn and got there 10min late from my appointment and had to wait like 20min to be serviced, which i didn't mind and i appreciate that the nail tech also apologized for the wait. Nevertheless, I'm still content with my mani and pedi experience from the last 2 times and will still come back again. I had my builder gel manicure today by LeAnne for the first time at Envy. I was pleased with my manicurist she was kind, professional and very detailed with her work. My nails look natural and smooth soth no bumps or irregularities. LeAnne was well spoken and gave me I needed and was helpful. Unlike the other manicurist Leah was was loud, rude and short with me at the checkout counter. I really should not have given a 5 star review because Leah was rude when I was trying to pay for services. she actually questioned if the nail color (my ow) that I brought was MINE!?! I told her YES and the. she questioned what color and yelled it out across the room to another nail tech. This was uncalled for! Perhaps the owner needs to hire more empathetic and professional manicurists. And not to mention certain nail techs will stand by you taking their language while looking at you(me) or customers laughing. THATS RUDE! I'm almost compelled to never return back again and spread this negative encounter to my coworkers at City of Hope Hospital and friends. if it wasn't for Leanne doing such a great job i wouldn't come back. I hope that you update your pricing information as well. Your credit card machine never seems to work EVER. I was told by Leah at the checkout counter that my pedicure was $88!!!!! that's insane!
