I stumbled Solar Nails since it's close to me. I called on Wednesday afternoon to see if they can fit me in for a pedicure. They said yes to walking in and there's no wait. Ample parking since they have their own private lot behind the shop. The salon itself is quite small and cramped. I believe there is five or six pedicure chairs but it needs cleaning. The drink holder/ side table was dirty and dusty. During my pedicure I saw a few mosquitos which made my experience less pleasant. However, I can't complain since the pedicure itself only costed $25. The pedicure itself was nice, the lady who helped did a great job. Only thing I wished was the water was warmer. FYI, they don't allow tips on credit cards so make sure you bring cash. read more

Wish I had the same experience the first time. I came in for acrylic nails and the lady who was working on my was to rough and cut me multiple times. I don't have much expetiance getting acrylic nails so I didn't notice that some were not put on correctly. Due to this I ended up getting fungus on three of my nails and I only had them on for 3 weeks. My advice if you want to do acrylics at this place, only do it with Nancy because my first time was great with her. read more

2 stars based on the 2 times I've been here. First time, I got a full set and asked for pointy nails and a jack skellington design which I pulled up online. Super simple design. I also asked for my eyebrows to be waxed. It's been years since I've had nails and the gal did a good job. When i go to pay it was $45!?!?!? Why? Full set says $20 and they charged me $12 for eyebrows and upper lip but I never got that service done. She said my nails were $23 plus design which I understand but god dam way to upcharge without telling you. The eyebrows were ok, I e had them done better at other places for a cheaper price. Second time I go is because my mom wanted to get nails and liked mine. So off we go and I want to try out there pedicure. I get ingrowns and the gal barely cleaned my nails. I had to ask her to really clean them because of my ingrowns and if she knew how to cut them, please do. Well that was an epic failure. Not impressed with the way they do their pedicures. Now meanwhile my mom is getting her nails done and she goes to wash her hands and she's left hanging there for 10 min because the lady started another set of nails without finishing my mom. I speak up and tell one of the ladies that this isn't right and I'm trying to bring more customers here but not with this type of service. We won't be back read more

The place looked clean and the staff was friendly and obviously knew the two ladies who were there when I got there, so there must be regulars that come in. The reason I give this a 1 star is the tools they used. When I was asked if I wanted callous remover, they put the gel on and left. It sounded like they went outside and returned with a mill plane grater and proceed to grate the calluses from my. I know my calluses were bad, but I did not feel it is safe. I've spoken to people I know who do nails and have their own salons and they told me that is illegal to do. My pedi was great, but I will not be returning for my safety. I feel that my safety is more important than convenience. read more
