I stumbled upon Nail Bar in Monrovia while driving along Huntington Drive--and I'm so glad I did! This place is pristine, super clean, and has a relaxing atmosphere that makes it perfect for a little self-care break. As of this review, they're offering an Early Bird Special--10% off Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, which is such a great deal! I tried the Deluxe Pedicure, and it was fantastic--great attention to detail, and the pricing is very reasonable and affordable. They even offer drinks while you're being pampered, which adds a nice touch to the whole experience. Definitely check out their services--I'll be back for sure April was my lady she was good! My friends' toenails were bare and requiring a pedicure. My friends' polish after the pedicure would be a gel type. Their selection of polish was not so good. 1 book board of nails for polish. 1 small key ring with maybe 15 plastic popsicle sticks and fake nails attached terribly and probably painted ten years ago. Lastly, framed board with the a fake nail and matching painted shaped item with the cheapest polish colors of tint with shimmer attempts that looks like it came from a child's safety nail polish collection. With that as the first indicator, we should have just walked away. We decided to be nice. The first nail person was asked for squared toenails. It was mentioned a few times nicely & she kept saying OK. As the filing of the top of the toe, and minimal on the actual nail, continued in a seesaw motion, which is not supposed to happen, and the toe was becoming irritated hot, and red, the response was well I have to file. We said not like that and the multiple requests to stop filing the top of the were ignored as well. Perhaps a better tool rather than the same worn out board that was clearly not creating a squared out shape for the top or sides. The closed cuticle area was still not cleaned and shaped into a straight line to the sides of the toenail so the shape of a toenail would be squared. To describe the closed cuticle area, it's bottom line area toenail that connects to the two sides of your toenail that go up into the open area of your toenail bed) I have outlined one of the pictures in red to show the area ... So second girl comes in, (obviously irritated everyone's speaking so we can't understand) and little filing type movements and then she says in a sing song voice " check it out " and the wave of her hands as if to be " let's make a deal "girls. We know they're not right she says oh they're ready. We said oh let's see then... Here we have the polish and for everyone who's had a pedicure or manicure, there is the understanding that the set~up for the nails has to pristine other wise there is this... Left with a terribly hideous pedicure, a second coat of polish was not going to do anything better for it. The cost for a gel pedicure in that salon was $40. We paid the value of the pedicure received, walking out with zero product on toenails which are very uneven and too short to straighten out... They accepted the negotiated payment. We are not too sure why they thought telling me that they had witnesses to show something-really would mean anything because we have these photos. The four people that were employees of some type or informed that the photos will be going to their social media accounts to offer This entire event is all captured on cameras in their salon, as well as the second nail person was either recording from her phone that was on the cart next to her or there was an open call of some type... Just another example of when there's the inclination and it's ignored "this probably isn't gonna turn out so well " It's making the selection to submit the post impossible unless you paste at least one star so that's the only reason that there is a star read more

Nail Bar never disappoints! They always bring my idea to life when it comes to my nails. I only do regular Gel but I always want to change up the color coordination or add glitter to one finger and the other finger a different color and they're so patient and always collaborate with me to tweak my ideas to perfection! Best place to go too in the area hands down. This nail shop is such a big long spacious location. the most nail techs Ive seen working is 5 sometimes..So that means it's a hit or miss with the wait times .. it's still worth it. Very clean establishment and they offer free refreshments or you can ask for them Ann always blesses me with great nails and the owner is very friendly and such a business woman very inspiring to be honest she owns 3 nails shops I believe.. definitely give this place a try! read more

I'm obsessed with this Nail Bar! The decor is to die for and it genuinely feels so luxe. Everything was spotless and the pedicure chairs were so comfy! From the moment I stepped in, to the moment I left, everybody was incredibly kind, approachable, and sweet! I had a mani-pedi and my nail tech had an impeccable eye for details. Came in as a walk in to do a gel manicure. Ann took me in quickly and helped me choose a color by testing it on my finger before getting started. She was very gentle and took her time. It is such a cute nail salon, it's very quiet. Overall If im in the area again and need a gel mani for $35 I'll stop by. read more

I got off work early to go to a doctors appointment. I had time to get a gel manicure and pedicure. I checked out a couple spots and decided to come here. It was empty so I got seated right away. My Pedi came out good no complaints, but as for my manicure they gave me a new girl and although she took her time it wasn't the best. Shape was not the best and paint job wasn't the best. It was also pretty expensive for a gel manicure at $35. I don't think they will last me two weeks. read more

This place is extremely unsanitary. The nail stations are dirty, the chairs are filthy, and the tools look unclean. I also noticed that the entire staff doesn't wash their hands between clients. They don't wear gloves and some don't wear masks. They move from one person to the next with no handwashing, no gloves--doing a pedicure, then immediately helping a client pay or touching their phones. It's gross. While getting my pedicure, I also noticed they seemed to be using the same toe separators for multiple clients. Have we learned nothing from COVID? The staff is sweet, but they're clearly rushed and make a lot of mistakes. They messed up my pedicure--I got a Gel-X, and the polish on one of my big toes was lumpy. I also had multiple cuts around all of my cuticles, showing how rushed they were. To top it off, the woman who seemed to be the manager told me the price for acrylics was $40, but then charged me $75. Overall, it was not a great experience. Not very relaxing. They seem more focused on high client turnover than the quality of their work.This was only my second appointment here. The first time wasn't quite as bad, but my Gel-X polish on both my hands and feet only lasted a week. It seems like they may be watering down their products. Beware--do not come here! read more

I stumbled upon this place when I was getting food at Popeyes. I thought I'd try them out. I went to them yesterday and was impressed with the place. The lady who did my gel x did an amazing job. :) The staff was very kind and accommodating. The lady who did my pedicure also did a great job. I met the owner and she was very nice. $30 bucks. 30 minutes drying at the salon. 60 minute drive home. When I get home what do I see? This! Did they dilute the polish to save money? To rip me off? I do NOT RECOMMEND this Nail Bar place! I needed my gel x removed and Mei did an amazing job. She was gently with my thin natural nails. I also had a classic pedicure and I'm very satisfied, sorry I didn't get her name, but she was very nice and detailed. My husband had a pedicure and he immediately felt a relief with the callus removal and said that she did a better job than the prior nail salon. unfortunately he didn't get the nail techs name, either. We will be back for our bi-weekly pedicures. I might even try the build gel instead of gel x read more

I've been here a couple of times and I will say their service is sweet. They are gentle and try to be very accommodating. The yellow prices on their menu was when they were having their grand opening sale. Personally, I would only go for a simple gel pedicure or manicure, or if I want a polish removal. read more

This place is amazing! The staff are friendly, the salon is very clean, the manicurist do great work, and they have the best massage chairs in town. I went in 2 weeks ago for a manicure & pedicure. My nails still look good, and I will be going back. I was impressed that they have a refrigerator with beverages, and they offer you a drink as soon as they seat you in the chair. Ann & Maddy were my manicurist and they did a great job. I highly recommend this salon. Give it a try!!!!!! read more

Don't get me wrong nails and pedicure were great but the only reason I'm giving them a 1 star is because I had gone with my mom and I got a pedicure and I'm not sure if they don't clean their instruments but I got a nail fungus after the pedicure my nail began turning a different color I even went to the doctor to get a fungal medication because I took like 3 months for it to go away read more

Offered drinks like 5 minutes in, they had coke, sprite, 7 up, water, Diet Coke, and some alcohol options. It's very affordable, pricing would be from 25-40 if it's basic things, if it's acrylic it would be a little more.They also offer massages for a little extra price! My pedicure was only $33 and they did a great job. The atmosphere was calming and the place was so clean. The customer service was amazing too, every one was very nice. I went to the nail salon today and I asked them to cut my nails down they gave me somebody who didn't know what they were doing and she cut my nails all uneven then another lady came and tried to fix them all I went in there for was a simple cut down now I have to go pay and get a whole another set of nails because they messed my nails up I'm very unhappy and very disappointed my nails look horrible read more

I went in b/c they had such great ratings and reviews but worst pedicure I have ever gotten! I truly walked out of there and cried of how bad they left my toes. I told the lady not to cut just file as I like my toe nails on the longer side and leave squared and she did the complete opposite. Not only that but she also left the nail polish lumpy. This place is beautifully done. It's so big. Came in with my teenage daughter and husband . We got 2 full sets and 2 pedicures. I recommend the VIP pedicure it was so relaxing and you get free drink of choice and a shoulder massage! Completely worth the money. My husband got the VIP pedicure and he got an ice cold beer as well. Nails came out beautiful for my daughter and I. Parking was so good. Very open with lots of space. Jasmine was friendly and made me feel comfortable with the experience and it was less painful than other places I've been in the past. My Daughter had been bragging about this great Nail Bar her and her husband had VIP pedicures at. I was treated for Mother's Day by my beautiful Daughter to the VIP Pedicure Package. The moment we walked in we were greeted by the owner.She is fabulous, very accommodating. She offered us drinks and made sure we were comfortable. I had a wonderful experience at **Nail Bar**. Tifany did a full set of nails for me, and I was thrilled with the result. She also did my eyebrow wax, and everything turned out perfect. She was very kind throughout the entire session, and most importantly, she didn't hurt me at all. By then, my nails had already been cut much shorter than I wanted, and the situation could not be undone. Such lack of communication and respect for what I had actually requested. Customers should be listened to and asked before any significant changes are made to their nails like grabbing a hand and cutting off the nails. And based on this experience, I would not return.
