Ordered: 1) Pesto Veggie Delight Pizza (XL) - for the adults 2) Margherita Pizza (L) - for the kids We placed the order online and picked it up to-go, then ate in the Muir Woods parking lot. When we went in to grab it, I noticed the place had a really classic Italian restaurant vibe. This place was completely dead when we came, after Muir woods we were looking forward for some quick "italian" pasta/pizza. There was no one inside so we picked this place thinking that it would be a fast meal. It took over 40 minutes to get our food. They brought out the pizza within a few minutes, so by the time the food came the pizza was cold. They were nice and brought me a fresh slice but the wait was just too long. The food was not bad - but I wouldnt wait again for that quality/taste of food. The take out containers were all dirty and they told me thats just how they come. They ended up washing it for me and gave me a clean one. The customer service was good and they were really nice, but next time i would go somewhere else. read more

Best pizza in Marin. Not much else to say. Pizza Hacker doesn't hold a dead candle to this place. Order online to see the full topping selection. Shrimp, clams... whatever you're into, they've got it, and they're going to bake it to perfection. You really can't ask for much more. They even deliver. Single-handedly saving Marin's shamefully limited culinary scene, one pizza at a time. Thanks for two years, Rocco's. Please never change a thing. Edit: I haven't tried anything but the pizza, but I'll add on that to me, this pizza is most reminiscent of the Italian, neopolitan style, as far as I can tell. It reminds me more of the many pizzas I had had during my months in Rome than the floppy novelties I had in the boroughs of NYC, or worse, most of the really over-powered but under-performing heavy / random wacko pizza you get around the Bay. Good undercarriage, perfect char, not much flop at all. Hard to find 10/10 food in any category in Marin, but Rocco's does it every time. Eat here. read more

This place is family oriented and the owners are kind wonderful people. We came in with our boys who were excited for pizza. We started with the kibe, a meaty, cheesy deep fried appetizer with a dipping sauce that made it perfect! Then a cheese pizza for the littles, they devoured it. We had a meat lovers which was very tasty and full of toppings. The linguine with spicy sausage was to die for and the bread served with it was buttery, cheesy and just right for the sauce. After all that they still wanted dessert, one of each cookie, snickerdoodle, m&m and a chocolate chocolate chip, then a red velvet and the creme de la creme the coconut bread was so so yummy. We don't live in the area, but this place will make us want to come back. They gave my grandson a tour of the kitchen and the owners were very sweet, you feel like family. I love the food and I think I've met the owner once, super kind. But today..... the person who answered my call had me repeat my order 3x !? ? and then told me what I wanted wasnt on the menu? I told him Ive called in before and Ive been able to order it before. The pizza is genuinely good -- my 76-year-old husband loves it. But calling ahead is essentially impossible. They answer, put you on hold indefinitely, and when you mention it, the staff couldn't care less. Great product, terrible customer service. Fix the phones. read more

Food was absolutely amazing! We came on Mother's Day and at first I was kind of skeptical because we were the only customers in here. And then all of a sudden the whole place is filled with people. They have gorgeous real flowers on each of the table setting. I ordered a spaghetti and meatballs and almond tea. These are the best meatballs I've ever had! My boyfriend and my son shared a large pepperoni pizza and they devoured it. The bathroom is in the back and you have to go through the kitchen, but it smells nice in there and they have leaf imprinted paper towels, which is so cool for a place like this. read more

Delicious food with delightful service by Rosie and Luciano, the Brazilian owners. We love coming here for pizza (this time, for the Luciano's Special: chicken, pesto, heart of palm, corn, zucchini, and onions). We also enjoyed the Italian sausage sandwich, and perfectly cooked kibbeh with Boom Boom sauce. The little honey cake ("made with love") was a nice end-of-meal treat. We sat outside with our Morkie Poo, and enjoyed shade for my husband, and sun for me. Highly recommend for a fun lunch date! read more

Came in with zero customers, They said it would take 15-20 minutes for our order, ended up taking over an hour to get the pizza. And they made the wrong burger after 45 minutes of waiting for the burgers to be made. Expensive items, food was mid, and took an insane amount of time to get everything. The service here is horrible. Truly horrible. We waited a very long time for our food, and then they didn't even get the order right. When we notified the manager about the mistake she was careless. She offered to make a new pizza, but when we followed up on her about a half hour later, she hadn't even started! Never coming here again and would warn you to stay away too. When i used to pass out food at Tam High-at the beginning of covid- the dad would Bring us workers- pizza for the end of our work. Pizza used to taste good maybe owner the guy wasn't working to watch over the staff but a lady was there who worked there for long time maybe his relative. It was weird while I was waiting for my pizza a lady was giving her money for her pizza. The pizza was ready lol she disappeared in the back and didnt come back for a while the older lady/relative. Been twice now, and would not be surprised if my rating went up after future meals here at this really solid mom and pop place. The people complaining about how expensive a slice of pizza is are being disingenuous, IMO. As others have pointed out, a "slice" here is actually two slices. Now, why they do that, I don't know. And if the weirdness of that bothers you, I think that would be a legitimate complaint. But as for what an actual slice costs, the true individual price (cost/2) seems fair to me. Both of the times I've come here, I've gotten the "slice" of pepperoni. And unlike the various elevated pizza options that Mill Valley offers - many of them I also really like (Tamalpie, PizzaHacker) - Rocco's is that other great thing to me: the slightly greasy, down and dirty, ten o'clock at night poker game slice of pizza. Which I have strangely discovered is hard to find... at least a really good version of it. And this is a really good version of it. For one thing, the pepperoni is actually spicy. Not overboard or anything, just what it should be. It amazes me how often places use really bland, afraid-to-have-any-flavor pepperoni. Then the balance between the cheese, and the tangy sauce, and crust is spot on. In fact, I have never actually ordered a full pie here (which is why this isn't the full five stars...yet). I assume they are also really good, but I've only ever had the slice. I also tried the meatball sub, and that was pretty great as well. I love the bread they use here, and the crust on it was perfect. I did not feel cheated on the meatballs as often happens at other places, and you might not like this, but I loved that the onions on the sandwich were added after-the-fact so they were still crunchy. As a personal preference, I wish the fountain sodas were Coke products instead of Pepsi. And I also wish they would just charge more for the first drink and have refills be free, instead of charging a dollar for refills. But if you're someone who doesn't go back for refills - oh, or getting a soda to go - you're saving money, I guess. They have some non-pizza place items on the menu, like burgers, and savory Brazilian pastries, as well as a few non-savory dessert options. If I lived up here, I might try some of those eventually. But for now, I am fully content to get that "slice" of pepperoni. read more

I used to pay $3.99 for a slice of pizza and a soda just a few years ago. It used to be delicious and taste fresh; even by the slice. This evening, I got a slice of fairly stale pizza on my way home. So overcooked that the sauce had evaporated and baked into the crust and the cheese had hardened. Now, this poor excuse for a pizza slice without a soda cost me $7.41. Comparatively, for a little over $20, I could get a delicious, fresh pizza from Locanda Marin or a cheaper slice of better pizza from the whole foods next door (about $3). I feel sad to see a great institution degrade like this. Big time bummer. read more

Brutal. If pizza is going to be this mediocre, it should at least be fast. I order at 5:45. They tell me to pick it up in 15 minutes. I say "fifteen or fifty?" They say 15. Half an hour later it's not ready. I complain, because I'm a whiner. The person working the counter, literally slack jawed as in "does not close their mouth when they are done speaking but leaves their mouth open like a goddamned lost cow" tells me 5 more minutes. Pizza is good but when I asked if there's a delivery fee I was told no, not for orders over $25. When I received my pizza 1 hour and 25 mins later, there was a $4 delivery fee. Called to complain and spoke to manager who said sorry, the guy who took your order is new, I should have explained it to him better. No offer to refund fee. Such a cute mom-and-pop shop! I was on my way to visit my friends in Norcal and found this family business in the Mills Valley area. They have a TV where you can enjoy watching a fun sports game while enjoying pizza and the place is super clean. The workers there were really friendly and helpful. They helped us choose the Mills Valley special. The pizza here really is different and the ingredients taste very fresh and high-quality. The cheese quality is just *chef's kiss*!!!
