I really liked this place! The restaurant is huge inside and outside open space. So nice and you can enjoy some summer time with big tv screens. However, the mid-day menu and after 5pm dinner menu is a huge difference- You just be aware of it! I honestly have been really recommend this place but they change the menu often. Last time they omitted cheese plates which was so sad because was so good with salami's and wines. They often switch it for seasonal reasons. I wish they can bring some mushroom pizza!

had some crazy pizzas in there. The clam joint was bussin . Ambiance was low light clean vibes. Service was on super point, can't remember the servers name but he's the tall dude w/ the long black hair. forgive me

I came to Roberta's for a line dance night and could not have had a better time. There is so much space outside to dance and as the night settled in, the string lights brought an intimate ambiance. The pizza was also fantastic. Sorry NYC but I prefer this Neapolitan style pizza with the chewy crust over the NYC crispy bottom slices. Despite the heavy crowd from the event, the service was quick. Had a great time and look forward to the next event

As someone who first went to Roberta's years ago when it was in the prime of its hype and just went again recently... honestly, I think it lives up to the hype. Now that the craze has died down, it's easy to get a table and have a great meal. Our server was friendly and conversational, and food came out at a good pace. Absolutely loved the focaccia. The carbonara was really delicious, and so was the waingro pizza. Left feeling satisfied! Since you can get Roberta's online now, at the supermarket, etc. it maybe doesn't have the same spark, but I still feel like it's a worthwhile and consistent experience.

Very cute pizza place! They have benches set up where you will share with another small group but honestly was a good time! It's hip and a great date place. The service is nice and friendly. Unlike other NYC places, they don't rush you. They also have a tiki bar next door decorated for Christmas which was cool. Now the food was great! The sour dough and Stracciatella are the stars! First you HAVE TO order the Stracciatella. It melts in your mouth and made both the loaf and pizza taste better! The sour dough pizza was excellent! I wish the fiore had the tomato sauce since it could be a little dry to the mouth but you can tell the dough and cheeses are homemade. It felt lighter on the stomach and between the vibes, food, and service I'd easily come back!

Had to try this neighborhood pizza spot while I was in Brooklyn yesterday. The vibe in here is really chill. The service was outstanding, everyone was incredibly friendly and efficient. I had my food within 15 minutes of ordering. Speaking of- I ordered the famous original and a cocktail the Julio something...damn my memory . They were both delicious though! I also ordered a mezcal Negroni (not pictured) which was also delightful. The pizza flavor was out of this world. I think they're serious about the NY water, it's just a superior taste. Love the thin crust underneath the cheese and the tomatoey flavor with the garlic. All in all I had a great experience here, I just went yesterday and I'm already thinking of my next trip back! Hope this helps!

Really good pizza, okay service. Let's start with the pizza! We ordered a guanciale and egg pizza - the guanciale was good (albeit maybe a bit tough to bite through the size of the pieces) and we liked the cheese blend they used. Flavor of the crust was solid too. Not much structural integrity to the pie, though to be fair I wasn't expecting that here. Pretty sure that they had forgotten to put our pizza order in though, because other tables that arrived after us received their pizzas before we did, and when we asked, we were told "They just put it in the oven." Also, they'd gotten our drink order incorrect. All in all, solid pizza, but not sure if I'm rushing back.

It's been so long since I went to Roberta's, and its pizza has stood the test of time. The crust is perfect with a sourdough tang and the tomato sauce has a deep tomato taste. It's a little pricy and they now have fairly basic pizzas on the menu with the options to add various toppings to them. Meat toppings are five bucks and I think the veg ones were 3 dollars it's easy to rack the bill up. I didn't think the add on was worth the cost as I had very little sausage for $5 and the basic pizza was tasty enough already. It used to be hard to get a table but we came midweek at around 1.30 and walked straight in, our server was friendly but we do have to wait a while for the bill. I'm giving it 5 stars because the pizza really is iconic, I'd stop by again when I'm in the neighborhood but probably wouldn't make a special trip out here. PS the pizza here is way better than in the Williamsburg Domino Park branch.

Roberta's is a somewhat popular pizza place in Bushwick, Brooklyn. They are known for their wood oven style and for the place having a hipster design. For example, the outside of the place is purposely covered in graffiti. I went for the Margherita pizza so I could have a standard one to compare with other pizzerias. One of their popular flavors is the Bee Sting which has chili and honey. In terms of their pizza, the pies are not that big and can be easily eaten by one person (or shared by two with a smaller appetite). The pizza was also just okay for me. They have Neapolitan style pizza. Therefore, the pizza was very light on the cheese and sauce and was mostly just crust. Some people may enjoy this more than me, but it was just okay for my tastes.

Fantastic experience! My kids officially ranked the burgers in their top 10, which says a lot because they take burger ratings very seriously . The real game changer was the pizza oven. You can absolutely taste the difference. Fresh, flavorful, and worth it. Great food, great atmosphere, and a place we'd gladly come back to again!

Great service. Quite a big menu---than what I expected. People are very nice and everything is very low key. Bee sting has pepperoni and hot honey and is my version of a salted caramel cookie but in a pizza form. We added jalapeños on it so don't worry if you are afraid it being spicy

I have been meaning to try Roberta's for sometime, but didn't get a chance to until recently when I was in the neighborhood. This place is such a vibe! When you walk in, you're immediately hit with their ambience, red lighting, and some of the most delicious smells. You can imagine. They ask that if your entire party is not here yet to sit at the bar in the back. I ended up doing so as I was waiting on someone and was greeted by the friendly bartender who showed me they are non-alcoholic options. I ordered One of the non-alcoholic drinks, which was probably one of the best ones. I've tried this month. The bar area itself was lively, and I very much enjoyed interacting with the guests seated around me. For an appetizer, I ordered a dish that looked seasonal, a chicken liver mousse pate that was served with deliciously crispy bread and tart cherry tomatoes. Once my friend arrived, everyone made room and we enjoyed the classic original pie. One thing I really want to note is that this pizza is perfect for a single person. You can obviously share it, but don't feel bad about indulging in an entire pie to yourself because this pizza is not greasy, and the dough leaves feeling nourished, rather than bloated. This pie comes served with a bottle of their spicy chili oil on the side and man the stuff is spicy. The staff at this place is polite, engaging, and thoughtful, and the food is just as fantastic. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of their menu as they have so many items aside from their delicious pies. What a great spot!

Bee sting pizza was great! Not too spicy and not too sweet yet a taste of both. I ate one on my own. Service was friendly and helpful.

Is it worth waiting in line for - maybe - if you have 2-3 hours free and nothing else to do and it's a nice day, sure. But honestly can't say I am running back to do it again. Waiting in line to get added to a waitlist that still doesn't always guarantee you will sit down to eat at the requested time - we were seated 40 mins after checking in (unusually long, never had more then 20 mins or so in past visits) but still a strange system, keeps the spot exclusive I'd guess. Have visited several times and always have had a good meal and the prices are very fair. Seating is not super comfortable and they pack you in for real, the restaurant is also unnecessarily dark and loud - But not in a bad way? I've been eating L&B Spumoni Gardens for as long as I can remember, and it remains exactly what it's supposed to be: loud, crowded, unpretentious, completely its own thing, and ridiculously good. The square slice is the square slice. Sauce on top, cheese underneath, crispy edges, soft center. Don't overthink it. Get one. Then realize you should have gotten two. The sit-down food is classic Brooklyn Italian comfort food, the portions are generous, and obviously you finish with the spumoni. This isn't precious food and it isn't trying to impress anybody. That's precisely the point. Brooklyn has changed about 9,625,247 times in my lifetime. L&B is still L&B. Five stars. Always.

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered a glass of wine, a beer, an arugula salad, and our main food order. Everything started out fine, and the salad came without a problem. But then we waited. And waited. About 30 minutes after we had ordered, I asked our waiter where our food was. He apologized and admitted that he had forgotten to put the order in. By that point, we had already watched other tables receive their food, including people who had arrived well after us. We continued waiting, and after roughly 40 minutes or more, our food still had not arrived. At that point, the dining experience was already ruined and we decided to leave. Ironically, just as we were getting ready to go, the food finally started coming out. I told them we no longer wanted it. The waiter did apologize again and offered us a pizza to take with us, which I assume was complimentary, but by then we were simply ready to leave. Even paying the bill became unnecessarily drawn out. We were charged the full amount for the salad, beer, and wine. I sat with a $50 bill ready to pay, was handed the check, and then ended up standing around for another five minutes waiting for someone to actually take the money. There was no apology from the person handling the payment. I understand that mistakes happen, and I appreciated that our waiter admitted he had forgotten to place the order. But when a restaurant makes that kind of mistake, the recovery matters. After waiting that long, watching later-arriving customers get served, and then having difficulty simply paying and leaving, an apology and a pizza at the very end didn't really fix the experience. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I can't say the service lived up to the restaurant's reputation.

Got a TGTG order here. 11/10 I'd do it again…read more Brooklyn DOP actually originated as a pandemic business where my friend's personal trainer started baking pizzas outside of his Greenwood Heights apartment. When the hype got large enough, the owner decided to start a pizzeria and the rest is not history. This is one of the more worthwhile TGTG orders to me. Their pizza is SOOO perfectly crisp and charred, and actually is one of the closest pizzas that reminds me of the famous originals in Napoli.

Brooklyn DOP is a prime example of what happens when a pandemic lockdown, a dough obsession, and an…read moreinability to sit still all collide. We visited as a stop on Scott's Pizza Bus Tour, which meant we were actively evaluating it against some of the best pizza in the city. Evaluating pizza on a tour is tricky because excellence becomes relative when you are eating multiple high-end pies in a single afternoon. According to Scott, Brooklyn DOP began in founder Thomas Ardito's apartment during the 2020 lockdowns. With his primary work on pause, he started baking pizza and selling pies through Instagram to pay his rent. People kept ordering. His friend Jason D'Amelio joined the effort, and what started as an apartment project turned into pop-ups and eventually a brick-and-mortar shop on 5th Avenue in Park Slope. That is a considerably more compelling origin story than a corporate franchise business plan. The setup in Park Slope includes a quiet back courtyard, which offered a comfortable spot for our group to sit, eat, and recover between stops. It feels relaxed and distinctly Brooklyn without trying too hard to remind you where you are. The pizza itself is very good. The crust strikes a proper balance between a crisp bottom and a chewy interior. The toppings are handled with care, from the crushed tomatoes to the fresh mozzarella. This is dough crafted by people who take fermentation seriously rather than relying on pre-packaged shortcuts. On its own merits, the pizza is a solid 4.5 stars. Unfortunately for Brooklyn DOP, it was competing on a tour against places operating on another plane. It is an excellent pie, but it was not the single slice that caused the entire tour to fall silent in collective awe. Still, that is an aggressive standard to hold against any local shop. Brooklyn DOP offers a great courtyard, a serious approach to dough, and a standout product. Landing just shy of five stars says far more about the sheer volume of elite pizza we ate that day than it does about the shop itself. Four stars. And if you are not spending the afternoon riding around New York with Scott Wiener eating pizza at some of the finest pizza joints the 5 boroughs have to offer, you can probably bump that half-star back up.
