The margherita side was very good - the tomato sauce is simply lovely. Decided to stop by this place for pizza. The pizza didn't taste bad. However, on my second slice there was a long piece of what was either hair or fabric fiber. My drink had fruit flies in it. I did get a new one after speaking up but I never said anything about the pizza because I was exhausted about complaining . Well, it would be a sin to visit NYC and not get a pizza! Macoletta had great reviews and wasn't bored down with 2 hour lines like some other places. So we have Macoletta a shot! Hands down the best gluten free pizza I have ever had! The crust actually had some fluff to it and the texture was very similar to flour crust. The service was also great! This is a white pizza and is not soggy or oily. The crudo pizza, a tomato-based pizza, was terrific, the prosciutto was fresh, and the presentation was incredible. The center of the pizza had a flower made with the prosciutto. The mini cannoli is also delicious. We loved the service and the atmosphere of the place.
