Rome to Brooklyn Pizza is locate in Greenpoint close to McCarren Park. I often pass by the place. I was there on a busy day but still find some seat to sit. Plenty of space, has TV to watch the games and good with group of family and friends.

After a day with my friends I needed a minute to myself lol I left them at a nearby bar and found Rome to Brooklyn. The smells pulled me in and I ordered a couple of slices. I sat at a table and watched as it became increasingly crowded. The service was fast, the pizza was delicious and the location gave me the opportunity for people watching.

One of the better unhyped slice joints in the Williamsburg-Greenpoint area. I tried both the margherita and the vodka-burrata Sicilian. The Sicilian dough was light and airy, and I loved the creamy vodka sauce. The margherita had a nice freshness from the tomato sauce as well.

I always go to the location on Grand St but I was near this location so I figured I'd give it a try. Ordered two slices of plain cheese and was confused when it came to $8 and change. I looked at the receipt and the cashier accidentally charged me for a can of soda. It wasn't a big deal but he was so apologetic but I told him a few times it wasn't a big deal. They refunded me and charged me correctly. Problem solved. Nothing to be sorry about. =) The pizza was delicious. I think they may have used more than one kind of cheese but idk. I just know it was good. I like this location better to be honest. It's MUCH bigger than the one on Grand St, has a bathroom, more seating......would definitely go back if I'm in the area.

The pizza was the perfect snack after a show at the Warsaw. Crunchy and delicious, I could've had another slice. The service was super quick. Ambiance very casual.

Delicious pizza. Crust is nice and crispy. A great stop on our pizza crawl. Grandmas slice was really good because the cheese to sauce ratio was perfect. Cheese slice was a classic. Def recommend

Rome to Brooklyn was surprisingly really good! My friends and I stopped by before heading to the bar down the street and was satisfied by our pizza. The place was a no-frills pizza spot and wasn't too busy. We each got a garlic knot and I got a vodka pesto grandma slice which I thoroughly enjoyed. The slice was thick, the bottom was crispy, and I liked the pesto! The rolls were also pretty good but I wish it was more cheesy and garlicky. Overall, Rome to Brooklyn is a great pizza spot!

Solid place to get a slice! I find it kind of hard to rate pizza, because I feel like at a certain point, it's all the same to me lol. That being said, I thought the crust had a good texture, and the toppings were yummy. I love a white sauce mushroom pizza, so of course I had to get a mushroom slice. I do wish that more of their slices came in a triangle shape though, because I'm not a huge fan of square slices.

Hey G.

Rome to Brooklyn 587 Manhattan Ave $3 a slice and $2 for a Coke. Just sharp, consistent pizza baked with care. That alone makes Rome to Brooklyn stand out in a neighborhood where slice prices often creep toward $5. What you get here isn't a reheated corner slice; it's pizza that reflects craft and intention. The crust is the first giveaway. Each pie comes out with a golden, crisp base that crunches cleanly without losing its airiness. It's thin but not brittle, light but structured. You can tell someone's watching the bake closely. A thin sheen of pizza oil glistens on top -- just enough to catch the light and remind you this is still Brooklyn, not Bologna. The plain slice is solid, but not where Rome to Brooklyn shines. The real gems sit on the bottom row of the glass case-- the vodka burrata, Grandma, and a rotating lineup of creative pies that show off the shop's skill and range. Those slices have more character: richer sauces, clever toppings, and a bake that brings everything into focus. Inside, the space feels considered and modern without crossing into pretentious. There's plenty of seating, clean design, and an easy calm that makes it equally suited to a solo lunch or casual dinner. Beyond pizza, the menu branches out with sandwiches, pasta, and panzerottis, giving it the feel of a neighborhood Italian kitchen rather than a strict slice shop. Rome to Brooklyn doesn't chase trends; it perfects fundamentals. It's a place where the price stays fair, the crust stays crisp, and every pie feels intentional. Bottom line: In any other town, this would be the best pizza around -- but even in Greenpoint, it's near the top of the heap. 8.5 / 10

Pizza is good but not as good as the original locations! Regular cheese was greasy and not super crispy but specialty slices were good!

Very Brooklyn vibe pizzeria. After much deliberation, ordered a mushroom grandma pie to go. Mushrooms were a plenty, fresh & meaty. Crispy & not bready crust. Garlic infused tomato sauce, could have used just a tad more salt. Service couldn't have been any friendlier. I will definitely go back & try a regular pie.

Absolutely phenomenal! We were visiting from St. Louis and staying in Manhattan but as pizza lovers naturally wanted to try pizza in Brooklyn, and this place was such a peak experience! The service was just above and beyond, and the pizza was SO incredible!! We tried so many different kinds and they were all SO good. Will not disappoint, and look forward to visiting again next time I'm here!

But thankfully it was only like five people and I maybe had to wait 5 minutes to place an order. It took me awhile to figure out my slices, but I immediately knew that I wanted that soft serve ice cream. Pistachio swirl?? YES PLEASE. That came out first, unsurprisingly. And I devoured it. Then I got my slices -- the L'Industrie and Mama Pesto. FANTASTIC... though if I was to pick a favorite it would be the first. I would not want to be there after work or during lunch on a weekday, but that was indeed one of the best slices I have had in the city. Pricier than the good old corner $1 classic, but yum.

Both could use a little more flavor to make them stand out more. I really enjoy the variety on the menu and the non classic choices they offer, but it's not somewhere I'll be craving or going out of my way to come back and try more. Lines moved quickly and service was friendly, but the overall flow felt a little off. Orders were being taken faster than pizzas were coming out, and by the time people got their food, there weren't enough clean tables to sit and eat. Saw people waiting around with their pizzas, which by then were probably getting cold. The whole experience could be better but didn't really hit the spot.

Standard-Issue Nostalgia with a Side of Rushed Hospitality…read more If you enjoy paying in time rather than digital convenience, Lucali's reservation process is a masterclass in performative nostalgia. Arriving at 2 PM to stand in a line for two hours just to get on a list for a 7 PM seating doesn't make the place feel exclusive, it makes it feel like a punishment. But hey, we got a table, so the sacrifice was supposed to be worth it. It wasn't. Lucali is BYOB, which is fine in theory. My party brought two bottles of prosecco, fully prepared for a cozy, rustic evening. The server kindly offered to pop the first bottle, then brought out our glassware: heavy, standard water glasses, fresh out of the commercial dishwasher and literally piping hot. There is a special kind of absurdity in pouring crisp, ice-cold prosecco into a glass that feels like it was just pulled from the depths of hell. To top it off, nobody offered to keep our second bottle chilled. Minor detail, sure, but for a place with this level of cult status, the low-effort service immediately set the tone. To give credit where it's due, the ambiance is legitimately cool. It's dimly lit, atmospheric, and feels like step-back-in-time Brooklyn kitchen. Watching the pizza makers roll out dough using empty wine bottles before shoving them into the roaring brick oven gives off that warm, "Nonna's kitchen" charm. You want to love it. Then the food arrives, and the illusion shatters. Our server gave us the bare minimum rundown: "We have pizza, calzones, and tonight's special pasta." Zero detail, zero enthusiasm. We ordered the pizza and the calzone. The pizza was... fine. Completely fine. But calling this the best pizza in New York feels like collective mass delusion. If you've been to L'Industrie or Mama's Too, Lucali isn't even in the same stratosphere. Then came the calzone, which was allegedly stuffed with five cheeses. The server proudly named four, withholding the fifth as a "secret ingredient." A mystery cheese angle might be fun if the calzone blew your mind, but by the time I took a bite, the gimmick just felt tired. It was a perfectly average calzone wrapped in high-end gatekeeping. The grand finale, however, was the absolute kicker. Just under an hour into our meal, after overhearing the hostess realize she'd botched the table rotation, our server came over with an update: they had overbooked and needed our table. Her gracious solution? "You're welcome to pour the rest of your prosecco into your glasses and finish it outside!" The remaining, warm, prosecco that is... Let's recap the math: two hours waiting on a sidewalk at 2 PM, five hours of waiting for the reservation time, warm glasses for cold bubbles, middle-of-the-road pizza, and a boot out the door in under sixty minutes because they messed up their own seating chart. Disgraceful hospitality masked as old-school Brooklyn charm. If you love mediocre food, lukewarm prosecco in burning hot glassware, and being rushed out to the curb, Lucali is waiting for you. As for me, I won't be back.

I was greeted by an angel called Lisa, who was very much giving fairy Godmother of Luigi's pizza. I stumble through my order. I'm confused. I'm asking questions. The whole time Lisa is patient. They said it didn't come with pepperoni, but the owner was sitting there like "you know what since you asked for it we'll do it for you." It's like I was in heaven and was told Ask and you shall receive, we just want you to be happy! Now, I don't know what sort of crack cocaine they put in this Knicks pizza but it had vodka sauce and ricotta, hot honey olive oil and I think a pesto drizzle. Oh my Jesus Christ this was the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life. Savory, a lil sweet, saucy. Lisa was right, don't need ranch for this at all. Also loved the white pie. I'm so sad because I had to leave New York the next day but days later I am still thinking about this pizza. I am still thinking about sweet Lisa and just how warm and welcomed I was in the few minutes I spent in this restaurant. I'm still thinking about how delicious this slice was!!! I cannot recommend enough, 10 out of 10 you won't regret it. Tell Lisa the girl who asked for ranch and she responded "that's sacrilegious"sent you. I told Lisa I'd leave a good review and she said "we don't care about no reviews we care about getting you fed". Enough said!

Personally, I would not rate this pizza anywhere near a 9.3, especially considering how many great pizza options there are in Brooklyn. That being said, it is still a good slice and worth trying. I just don't think it quite lives up to the hype or the exceptionally high rating it has received.

The dining area still has that wonderfully idiosyncratic character: exposed beams, communal tables, mismatched details, and an open kitchen turning out genuinely excellent pizza. What impresses me most is how naturally Roberta's became more than a restaurant. Food, music, parties, outdoor spaces, and an extraordinary mix of people all seemed to converge here, giving the place a cultural gravity that could never have been designed by committee. It remains one of those places that instantly takes me back to my bachelor years and an especially fun chapter of my time in the city, when Bushwick felt endlessly creative, and Roberta's seemed to sit comfortably at its center. For me, all of the above!!!! Thus, I strutted into D.O.P. and I was torn between a Bianca slice or Margherita slice, then thought one of each, then " don't drink or drive" or in this case, no mix and match pizza. I went for the Margherita. It was placed in the oven and as a Yelpie, kept busy with photos and post as I waited, the slices were ready. I found my seat, a comfy leather bar stool, and took my first bite.. for myself, THE most important. Welll.. my taste buds strutted!!! The mozzarella, the basil, tomato sauce and the charred crust!!! The undercarriage didn't cave!! I think the menu description does a better job: "DOP. I love an open kitchen where the chef can be seen making the good stuff.. as I devoured my slices, I gave him a huge thumbs up! The pizza options are great: Spicy Margherita, Don Vito Grandma, Sicilian and hey, Traditional! They do serve wine and dessert.
