We are HUGE Decades fans! We have celebrated Valentines here, hit up happy hours, double dates, brought out of town guests and fully enjoyed the anniversary parties. We have attended two of them. Our bellies were at capacity. I am obsessed with the Caesar salad and the cheesy buttery breadsticks! They are generous with that cheese. Bless them! It is ramp season and we had the best date night there. I love the cocktails. My boyfriend loves the beer selection. During happy hour we get the breadsticks and a lil Caesar. The ramp pizza is a must! Holy Smokes! So do not miss it, if you haven't already. I have also been here for the art markets. Such a well curated group of artist. I have of course hit up the collab with coffee faves Honeymoon and cake fave Bodega Cakes. It was absolutely delicious and I wish there was always cannoli cake. The cheesecake here is too die for. Had a takeout pie. Did not eat in, so the review is based off of the food's quality. Absolutely some of the best pizza i have had in NY, especially Ridgewood. I've lived here for just over 30 years and have to give credit where it is due. The dough is a touch too chewy as my jaw was tired after the third slice. Didn't stop me from eating another, though. Forget Mano's--Decades is the best relatively new pizza eatery in Ridgewood. Side note: service on pickup was a little slow but this may have been a one off deal. read more

I really enjoyed dinner at this restaurant. The Caesar salad is incredible and unique, you have to try it. I also got a pie to share; half pepperoni, half sausage. The pizza was delicious although it was a bit difficult to keep whole when grabbing a slice due to it being freshly brought out of the oven. Made a reservation in advance since it gets pretty packed in the early evening hours. Small place with decent amount of seating. They have a happy hour menu until 7pm with discounted prices on drinks and food. We got 3 personal 10" pies which turned out delicious! Very pricey even with happy hour prices. I liked the potato pie the most - definitely recommend. I saw a lot of people recommend the load up but that's just too many toppings on a pizza - it weighs it down and makes it soggy! Don't go here if u don't have a reservation! We were standing with the 'hostess' for over 5 mins waiting to see if we can get a table. There were at least 5 tables available! Said hostess looked at my husband and I like we definitely did not belong! They said that we could get a table but only allowed to stay 1 hour! Insane. Never spending my money here! Charming unassuming spot in Ridgewood/Bushwick not too far from the fun nightlife. We stopped by for dinner before an event at Sultan Room. Not that busy on a cold chilly week night. Pizzas are lovingly Made to order in an open kitchen right off the dining area. Small but well curated cocktail menu. I forget the name of the drink I had, but it sounded Sailor Moon themed, and it was great. We got good recs from our waiter on food and drinks. Really intimate yet casual setting with low lighting and candles. Amazing waitress with such a laid back, chill vibe that made us feel totally at ease and welcome. Bathroom available. Great selection of unique fun pizzas and special bonus is happy hour from 5-7 on weekdays for a select few items on the menu. I loved the potatoes on the hot potato pizza but there was some absolutely bizarre smell and taste that I could not stomach eating more than one slice. It was absolutely whatever cheese was used and obviously I couldn't have predicted that. The green goddess wasn't as green as I thought but I absolutely much preferred it to the hot potato. The vegan hot sauce was fantastic. I doused everything in it. The Parmesan breadsticks were okay. I loved the garlic creamy sauce at the bottom of the plate and the generous helping of shredded parm atop. They were definitely not what I pictured when I thought breadstick because they were quite thin and a little crunchy here and there (chewy in some parts), not fat and fluffy and chewy as I had hoped. Worth the wait! Searing is spacious enough to accommodate children and they had high chairs available. Being from Brooklyn, how could I say anything bad about our pizza? Extremely disappointed. This place came well vetted by the New York City food critic and food reviewer community. So we decided to give it that good old one and only try. As New Yorker, we are spilt for choice. You all know this. Long story short, I was hoping for a home run but wound up with a pop out and a pulled hamstring running down the first base line. We went for my wife's birthday because it was close to our home, and that too on a morose and somber rainy day. I ordered a Caesar salad, pizza, two beers, and 4 cocktails, and wound up with a $175 bill. Very pricey for this category of food. Extremely pricey...It's pizza. I know your rents are high in Ridgewood but this bill amount is tantamount to eating at your favorite neighborhood Italian place (which I should have in hindsight) If you are going to charge $35 for a pizza pie, it had better taste as if it was made from the hands of, and coming out of the oven of, the guy who invented pizza!! Came here on a whim after an event in Glendale. Most places close really early it seems in the area. Decades was opened and stayed past the initial listed close time of 11pm. The service was good. Waiter was nice and attentive. Food and drinks came out fairly quickly. Ordered a half sausage and half cheese pie. For drinks I ordered one of their newest cocktails, the Norman. They recently revamped the list. It was ok. For 16 dollars I want to atleast taste the liquor but it was giving very much mocktail with more ginger beer flavor. The pizza was ok. Not the biggest restaurant but they do have a lot of takeout traffic. From the moment my friends and I walked in to the moment we left, the staff was very accommodating. They answered every question we had about certain toppings and ingredients. We ordered 3 different pies, the regular which is a margarita, the jimmy don't cry which is vodka based with fresh peppers and mozzarella, and the hot potato which is basically a baked potato on a pizza. All 3 were very flavorful, the dough was saltier than I expected though. Overall I would recommend this place if you are in the area. The Hot potato was my favorite out of everything I ordered. Wanted to try some new pizza in the bushwick area and a bunch of my friends have been talking Decades up so I figured I had to try! We ordered the 16" Regular with Pepperoni and based on the photos on Yelp, I feel like I got a different pie. Lol The crust was fluffier than expected, in a great way. The pizza was smaller than expected though, but that's okay. Upon first bite, I knew I was going to devour this whole pizza by myself. Even though the pizza was room temperature, I really enjoyed it already. A tangy sauce, the spicy pepperoni and the gooey cheese, what more can you want? My only complaint was it's not enough pizza! Came here with a friend for happy hour on a Friday at 5:30 PM and easily got a table. I got a spritz for cocktail and also got an IPA that was discounted. The 10 inch pizzas are about $24 each. We got the VCR and the hot potato, in regards to flavor, I loved the hot potato more, but it was a little too spicy for me to eat a whole pie of it. The VCR with the vodka sauce was really really good. We also got a slice of peach pie, which was delicious, but shockingly $15 - more expensive than our drinks. They asked us to give up our table once we were finished eating and offered to have us sit at the bar, but we were fine going home since we live nearby. This has quickly risen to the top of my list of favorite pizza in New York! Food/Drinks: I will get to the pizza, I promise. I started off with a salad: the Decades Chopped. It's a simple salad - and I mean that in the most amazing way. Their house dressing is delicate to the taste, but packs a punch of rich flavor throughout each bite. This then perfectly paired with the star of the show: the pizza, specifically the special clam pie that was recommended to us by our waiter. The crust was cooked perfectly, allowing for a crisp and even char, topped with ingredients that you feel are fresh as soon as it hits your tongue. The dollops of Calabrian chili peppers combined exquisitely with both mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. With the pizza, they also hand you a bottle of the most delicious house-made sauce, made from the same chili peppers. I asked to bring this home in order to put on EVERYTHING. For drinks, I had a glass of natural orange wine and my partner tried the Padam Padam cocktail. We both enjoyed our respective drinks and highly recommend them. Service: Our waiter, Alex, was phenomenal! They were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, had great recommendations, was highly attentive, and most importantly, had super positive energy - I hope that I see them again when I return. Ambiance: Decades has a very classic, yet modern feel that allows the guest to feel comfortable and at-home, but at the same time, is reminiscent of a sophisticated and cool cocktail bar. Fantastic...This is my other top current NYC culinary obsession, my favorite new NYC pizzeria in recent memory. They're really hitting all the marks perfectly here in terms of food, decor service and perhaps most importantly taking into account it's location,... vibes. Ridgewood has notoriously been rated in the media as one of the worlds coolest neighborhoods currently, and for my money this just might be the most effortlessly cool spot in said hood. Starting with the food and specifically the pizza, as it's the backbone of the establishment, it's pretty damn incredible, not the least due to the fact that it's cooked in a state of the art, eco-friendly ELECTRIC oven. The relatively lower temperatures results in delicious crusts that are solidly in the classic NY Style tradition in terms of thickness and consistency, making them a solid and delicious base for a multitude of delicious toppings. The pies are likewise also quite large, akin to a whole pie from a classic neighborhood pizzeria as opposed to the smaller ones usually put out in other more artisanal spots. On each occasion here my parties have always left with delicious leftover slices to enjoy at home. Every pizza I've had the pleasure of trying has been uniformly delicious. The red pies I've sampled , specifically the classic Regular blessed with perfectly fresh basil as well as the cheesier and spicier and cheesier Big Cheese which is boosted by the flavorful addition of fontina cheese and chili, both deliciously channel classic corner shop flavors married with top quality ingredients and techniques. The white pies , however I've found to be a more of a jumping off point for more unbridled creatively. From a recent white special loaded with spicy Soppressata and tons of fresh scallions and béchamel, to a earthy and deeply rich mushroom pie centered around extremely fresh oyster and maitake shrooms, and, probably my favorite and more mind enhancing pie, the Hot Potato pie, with gorgeous potatoes mingling with provolone and pecorino, more fresh scallions and deliciously spicy globs of n'juda, the skinless amorphous sausage sometimes referred to as the Italian version of Mexican Chorizo. Haven't been able to get that pie off my mind since eating it. Really really looking forward to getting the chance to try the highly coveted spicy XL calzone, which seemingly rightly has appeared on a high majority of tables on each occasion I've been there, as well as the more under the radar Monday only offering of their version of the great Clam Pie. It must be noted that just as great as the pizza on offer here, which again is immediately among the ranks of the cities best, are the SALADS. Indeed I'm hard pressed to think of another pizzeria, or most any other establishment of any kind that have impressed me as much with their salads, whoever the produce plug is here must be protected and retained at all cost! The freshness of the produce is startling, sugar snap pies and mint tasting as if they were pulled from the dirt immediately before plating and blend brilliantly with salty and fatty guanciale and sharp fiore sardo. The real crowd pleasure that inspired the proverbial "best I've ever had" line around the table on each occasion it's been ordered in my present however, is definitely the Caesar, think everything you love about the classic salad gone EXTRA, the best freshest little gem I can ever remember coming loaded with tons of super high quality parm and drenched in a decadent made to order dressing loaded with deep pungent Anchovy packed flavor. Juries still out if this salad is any more or less healthy than the pies themselves but it's certainly just as delicious and crave inducing. Wash it all down with a perfectly prepared cocktail or if you're so inclined and high minded a carefully curated glass of natural wine. The interior is stylish yet comfortable perfectly befitting it's stature as a neighborhood spot for the coolest of neighborhoods, and the staff is as hip and as stylish as imaginable while somehow miraculously also being uniformly professional and effortlessly engaging and gregarious. I know who would think it possible for both things to be true at the same time! The outdoor seating is truly of the most bare-bones and DIY a setup as possible with plastic picnic tables but should you decide to sit there you'll be rewarded with some of the best people watching imaginable on one of the most bustling and vibrant intersections in the boroughs. We were disappointed to have finished up our meal just a few minutes to late to make the 8 o'clock closing of the nearby ice cream window a few doors that had some really unique and delicious looking flavors available but that's just one more thing to look forward to on future visits here. Great gas oven pizza but super pricey. Pies were on the smaller side (I'm guessing around 16 inches in diameter). They absolutely nailed the crust. It came out perfect straight out of the oven. Probably in the top tier for gas oven pies along with New Park and L'Industrie. Pies were priced around $30 and cut into 8 smaller slices. At little less for regular pies and a little more for their specialty pies. I ate four slices and felt less full then I do when I have two slices from a regular slice shop. Toppings were excellent. We had the mushroom pie and I loved the variety of mushroom and how perfectly they were cooked. Not rubbery at all. Had a slight crisp and you got big time earthy and umami flavor. They have a full bar, three beers on tap (a light beer, an IPA, and something else), and a fair variety of wines. Service was attentive. They have one super spacious, gender neutral restroom which is handicap accessible. I love the local pizzeria with full bar feel. Great quality! Decades is a modern casual pizza joint that recently opened in Ridgewood, Queens. Co-founded by two pizza-lovers, Zach Hughes and Paul Cacici, who share some serious NYC restaurant and pizza cred, previously working at legendary spots like Roberta's, Union Square Cafe, Llama Inn, and finally, Ops, where the two met in 2017. As Ridgewood is heating up with several hot new openings, this is another great spot the neighborhood has added to its repertoire.
