Dinner at Pizzeria Panina on Friday was delicious. My son had their pepperoni pie, my husband had their broccolini pie, and I had the appetizer special, which was meatballs in tomato sauce with focaccia. For dessert, we sampled their unbelievable date cake which came in hot caramel sauce with vanilla gelato on the side! The servers were very sweet to us and made suggestions about the menu when asked. Our orders came quickly, too. The interior is beautiful and has a low-light, romantic, rustic ambiance. The restroom was also neat and clean. It was family friendly and still felt intimate. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu. read more

Had an amazing dinner with my friends here! This place is sooo cute. There's tables inside, high top and bar seating and tables outside. We were seated at a long high top table that gets shared with other parties but at the time of our reservation, it was just us. The specials were speaking to us. We had a bottle of white wine for the table and I later ordered myself a glass of one of their orange wines of the day, Sikele, which was great. We started off with the meatballs from the specials, which were served with tomato sauce and sea salt focaccia bread and the Tuscan Kale and Radicchio Caesar salad. The salad was delicious, as were the meatballs and sopping the sauce up with the bread. We also had the roasted shishito peppers off the specials menu which came with a za'atar ranch dip that I actually loved even though I'm not a ranch fan. We then shared the cheese pizza and the special of the day pizza which was smoked bacon, figs, crème fraiche, buffalo ricotta and crispy onions. Both were amazing but I could have done without the smoked bacon. The best part was DESSERT. Both from the specials menu, we had the Sticky Date Cake (butterscotch + fior di latte) and the Pistschio Tiramisu (served with fior de latte gelato, olive oil and salt). Opposite vibes but both incredible in their own ways. The date cake was dense and super sweet but in the best way. The pistachio tiramisu was crunchy but super light and fluffy. The waiter then brought out free amaretto shots to end the night, even bringing a nonalcoholic one for my friend who wasn't drinking. 10/10 across the board. The place has vibes, food and great service. Can't recommend it enough! read more

The food at Panina is delicious, you can tell whoever is cooking and designing their menu really loves what they do! I love the pasta and pizza. The salads are refreshing. Service at Panina is spectacular but I will recommend that you make a reservation because wait times can be a bit long for walk in's. The area where the restaurant is located is great because there is plenty to do in the area afterward. read more

I went on a date at 630pm on a Monday and it was fairly busy. I sat outside and we ordered a rose with the special pizza and pasta with mushrooms. We ended up getting our pasta and never getting our pizza till we brought it to the attention of our server. She brought it right away and we're glad we reminded her. Definitely a bit pricer on the high $20-something for the specials but definitely delicious. I would recommend making a reservation if you're coming during prime dinner time. read more

I came in Saturday, December 21st for a 7:30 pm dinner with my friends. It was a great friend of mine's birthday so we made reservations. We got there a little bit earlier than the birthday boy to bring his cake and it was allowed but with a fee of $30/$40 for a cake cutting fee. The waitress was so nice she took pictures for us and explained how many pies we should get for our large group. She told us she was one of her favorite tables yet she had served. The restaurant staff was beyond impressive and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone I know, I already started. The restaurant is small but cozy and cute and decorated for Christmas. The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing and I definitely will be back! read more

Pizzas lean towards Neapolitan style. Crust is nice and soft. Pizzas are a little bigger than personal sized. Four of shared two salads, a pasta & two pizzas. Salads are great to split with one person-we loved the shaved kale salad. It's like a twist on the caesar. We chose the pasta special (pappardelle with short rib ragu), Bianca pizza & a pizza special (sausage, hot honey, & some other things). Ughhh I could eat here weekly. Waiters were kind & helpful. Let us make substitutions without any hesitations. read more

My friend made reservations for my birthday. Day of, we got there a little early before our reservation time and our table wasn't quiet ready so we sat at the bar for a drink. It's a cute place! Would come for a date night or a fun dinner with a friend. After a few minutes, we got our table and our server gave us some menus and let us know the specials. We ordered the kale salad and 2 pizzas. The salad was really good! We got the Classica and the Spicy and both were really delicious! The spicy was my favorite for sure. Will return for a date night! read more

I will admit my boyfriend and I have lived here collectively for four years and have never checked this place out til last night. We wandered in before a show at Cassette. We have been snoozing and missing out on the amazing food this place has to offer. While we only went in for some light bites the bruschetta was incredible: porous and light with the perfect crunch, ricotta and fresh tomatoes. The kale Caesar had a nice crunch. The service was by far the best part, the waitress Ivy (we believe her name was) was awesome to talk to and so knowledgeable about other restaurants and places in the area. It immediately crept up our list to new favorite spots! Bonus points for the mural on the bathroom ceiling. We can't wait to go back and try all the pizzas and pastas! Don't snooze like us! read more

Panina is without a doubt among my top 3 favorite NYC restaurants (and I've dined at many). Everything is so well curated and the staff is always such a delight (calm, patient, polite, engaging). The inside is so intimate and cozy, while the outdoor space offers a beautiful patio, open all year round (which is very much appreciated). The prices are reasonable and the quality is BEYOND amazing - there's a lot of pizza to be had in NYC but there artisanal sourdough pizzas are truly some of the best that NYC has to offer. I often stalk their Instagram to see what's in store for their weekly specials; for example, just the other night I had the MOST delectable gorgonzola stuffed ravioli that I will be dreaming about for months (did I mention their pastas are also to die for)? Thank you for being such a delightful neighborhood staple Panina, we love you, never change! read more

I've been eyeballing this restaurant for over a year on my morning walks. Counting the days for it's official opening. The other day I spotted some peeps but it was round two of the apocalypse. I started my staycation last Wednesday night and I knew I wanted to start on the right foot. Hellllllo Pizzeria Panina. Of course I walk in with my roommate and a booth is filled with familiar faces, my neighbor and our two friends were already moving on to the digestiv and tiramisu portion of the dinner. Lucky! We found the last two available spots at the bar. The bartender was always attentive, funny and sweet. My favorite mixture. The ovens were set at 666 degrees! The staff had a flow of cranking out delicious food and potent cocktails. We started with the Bianca with labneh, olives, arugula and rpeserved lemons. And balanced with a classic, "Classica" mozz, tomato sauce and basil. It was the perfect introduction to the pies. They were both full of flavor. If you can nail an experimental flavor and a classic, it's a sign that you know what you are doing. I have to return for the "Forest", that is jam packed with mushrooms. The cocktails list has variations of Negronis, one with Cynar, and some mezcal mixtures. I went for the "Spaghetti Western". A perfect addition to my pizza. I moved onto some wine and wrapped the meal up with some fernet. Sadly we did not split the tiramisu. I see a lot more visits in my future. it's no surprise this business is related to Sweetwater and Bakeri. Two absolute faves. The decor was also stunning and detailed. Sticking in theme of looking good and tasting good. Also giant shout out to the music, ranging from the Gun Club to Rayito Colombiano and the Replacements. I fully enjoyed the eclectic mix. Welcome to the neighborhood Pizzeria Panina! read more

Just had a late lunch there. Camille, our server, warmly welcomed us and made sure she took great care of us. I had the fettuccine bolognese with their yummy little gem salad, and my wife and son had the spicy pizza and a Caesar salad. Everything was super yummy and what a fun place to eat! The neighborhood vibe is very hip with lots of people coming and going. Fantastic experience! Thank you! read more

Pizzeria Panina - Really, really good specially with the chili oil! - Pizza Near Me - Queens, New York

Awesome food, folks + a beautiful space. I came in yesterday and ordered a Classica pizza and a Forest pizza (first time I've ever seen dill on a pizza, but so good I came back again 24 hours later and had exactly the same thing.) For pizza/cook/tech nerds, they're running *electric* ovens -- pushing 700 degrees -- with spectacular results. Super nice owner + team and I'm so happy to have them in the neighborhood. read more

Pizza style is somewhere between L'Industrie in Williamsburg and New Park in Howard Beach. It's a Neapolitan pie but cooked in a gas oven. Crust is quite crispy with a prominent char. We shared the classic pie and one of the daily special pies. The cheese was a blend similar to what you'll find a corner pizzerias. There were a couple plops of mozzarella. The specialty pie has zucchini, mushrooms, ricotta, and probably a bunch of other stuff that I'm forgetting. I generously covered both in their chili oil. It reminded me a bit of harissa and Thai chili oil. It was quite rich with a balanced level of spiciness. Hit my nasals at just the right intensity. For starters, we shared some focaccia as well as another daily special - burrata over asparagus. My wife was in love with the burrata dish; though, to be honest, she'd probably marry burrata if she could. My wife also had a slice of chocolate cake for dessert. It disappeared quickly so I must assume it was good. Service was friendly and attentive. They have one spacious, gender neutral restroom which was quite comfortable. Seemed like they had a nice espresso machine. They also had a very fancy water machine for filtering and carbonating water. read more

What can I say, this place is amazing. Cozy, cute decor, and great out door seating. The pizza is also amazing, but do yourself a favor, and eat while it's hot. The pasta is also amazing, and freshly made. Salads are also good, and drinks are reasonable in price. The staff does quite a good job in accommodating patrons. read more

Please don't advertise your espresso martini as fresh espresso and describe it as such when explicitly asked. I am well aware many places pre batch espresso in the AM or day before but it tastes completely different than an actual fresh espresso shot in the cocktail. It's very misleading and annoying. Also bartender never asked if liked drink, pet peeve. read more

The perfect spot! Close Beautiful Great cocktails Friendly service EXCELLENT food! A couple blocks from where my partner lives, it's hard not to want to come here every night. The Spaghetti Western is the actual greatest cocktail. All the bartenders and servers are so nice. Inside is cozy and stylish with flattering lighting. It's always packed but the acoustics are great so you can still have a conversation. Every salad and pizza I've had has been delicious--always try the special--and the hot chili should be on top of everything! read more

An intimate, cozy, romantic vibe, Pizzeria Panina is a newer Ridgewood favorite. A great date night spot, a place to catch up with friends, a place to take your family who are visiting, Panina is a comfortable and delicious option for everyone. Everyone who works there is very nice and attentive. I truly love the bar as well as being able to see the pizza dough being tossed in the air from my seat. I have tried quite a few pizzas from Panina, each one just as good, if not better than the last. There are vegan pie options on the menu, like the Broccoli Rabe pie pictured in my photo on the bottom, and speciality pies that change often. While you are there, be sure to get a cocktail from the bar, or a order a Pilsner that they have on draft - it is always so crisp and a must for me to order. All in all, one of my favorite spots in Ridgewood! read more

Good food and a beautiful space, but the service is pretty intense. Felt like someone was trying to clear our plates every 10-15 minutes, even when we were pretty visibly still eating. For parents of little ones - they don't have high chairs (or didn't when I went) and don't offer takeout (or didn't when I went). Definitely in the upper echelon of NY pizza - maybe not DiFara but I'll take it over Grimaldi's, Lombardi's and Roberta's.
