    Goat cheese toast

The place itself is nice and cozy. It's not your average brunch place. The menu has cool and delicious items like the goat cheese toast and arepas con huevos (that's what we had). The buttermilk biscuit was just perfection. For tea, we had the London Fog (basically an Earl Grey latte). Nice to have something different than just chai latte. Good service. Food came relatively fast. I will definitely come back again to try other things. We came at 10a on a Sunday when it opened. It definitely got busy at 11a so come early to guarantee seating.

Really yummy brunch! They were quite busy on a rainy Sunday lunch. The chilaquiles and arepas were both really good dishes. The corn in the arepas was really sweet and contrasted well with the other flavors. We also added the spicy pork, which was pretty mild but definitely added to the dish. Would recommend both! The waffle got a bit soggy as it was served with syrup already served on it. Service was a little slow because it was busy but the food came out decently fast

Admittedly, not a brunch fan. This place almost convinced me to think otherwise but didn't accomplish it. Service was super friendly and attentive. It's a fairly small place so recommend getting a reservation. We got two sandwiches: the Cubabinsh and the golden lox. The Cubanish was meh, I have to say I missed having the ham that a Cuban these usually come with but the pork was delightful. The bread was nicely toasted. I get why this is such a must here. I was actually quite surprised by the lox sandwich. This roll was perfectly tailored to this sandwich. I wish the spread was a bit more evenly distributed. We got the greens and the potato salad for sides, neither of which added much. However, we also grabbed the potatas brava, which was absolutely a scene stealer. The price is on the higher end for brunch (maybe not for the area but $20 for a lox sandwich is... a bit much). The menu beyond these two things wasn't the most interesting so we probably don't need to come back but it was worth it for this combination of things.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday at 1 PM and got seated at the bar immediately. Split a big brie and bacon sandwich and a Cuban sandwich along with the patatas bravas. Everything was super delicious. The food came out very quickly. The side salad came with was nothing amazing as well as the chips that came with the other sandwich. The space is very cute and they have cocktails, coffee drinks and tea.

Julia's is a cozy neighborhood spot where no reservations are needed--just walk in. Be prepared for longer wait times during weekend brunch. A personal favorite is the Toasted Goat, a deliciously simple sandwich featuring toasted sourdough topped with goat cheese, fig jam, bacon, and honey--a perfect combination of flavors.

The food & service were amazing! We able to bring my dog & sit outside for brunch which was a major plus.

Was in the area for another event and was told to eat something before showing up. I didn't have cash on me, so I decided to check this place out. Hope they accept credit cards, they do! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Very cute place and very comfortable. Checked out the menu and ordered a cubanish sandwich to eat in. I asked if I could grab a jacket and come back, no problem. Came back and I took a seat at an empty table (since there are several tables). Got a bottle of water and my cubanish sandwich was delivered. The sandwich was delicious and hit the spot. If you are in the neighborhood, definitely check this place out.

Julia's Wine and Bar in Ridgewood is a cozy eatery that highlights community. it's the perfect brunch menu with items like spicy pork arepas as well as vegan options and mock tails. With an inviting atmosphere and just a feminine french flair, I really enjoy this place. it's one of my favorite newer restaurants in area ( i grew up here, so newer to me)

Love loved this small hidden gem. Would highly recommend to try. It is a tiny place so I'm sure it can get busy. Cutest bar at the entrance. It has a cozy vibe. Food was so flavorful and delicious. Must try the loaded bravas and toasted goat - top top fav !! But everything we ordered was delicious as well . Nachos and arepas also so so good ! Cocktails were so delicious and refreshing. We ordered the lavender gimlet, the last monk, guava pisco sour, bourbons bees knees . Great neighborhood restaurant.

I went here with a friend after having no luck at Rolo's since we didn't make reservations but were pleasantly surprised here. First and foremost, our server Selena was absolutely wonderful and a gem of a person so hats off to her for being so patient and lovely. Second, this has to be one of the most reasonably priced drinks menus I've seen and the drinks are solid as well. Third, the food is great too. We ordered the nachos and arepas to share and both were fresh and tasty. All in all, no complaints here and a great place to visit if you're in the area.

I love Julia's. Their Cubanish is delicious. I also like their fancy cocktails. It's comfortable for families, too.

Hmm the page says "vegan options" but the only item listed as "vegan" on the menu is potatoes for $14. Would anyone happen to know if there's a viable vegan entrée? It all seems quite cheesy & meaty. Don't get me wrong I love me some spuds, but ...

A lot of specials are vegan but not listed that way and options like the piper, gaúcha dip and beet salad can be made vegan very easily. The hash is also loaded with veggies in a delicious sauce and isn't plain potatoes at all.

The bar is a bit on the smaller side in terms of seating, but it has a TON of personality. I loved the eclectic decorations and knickknacks around the seating areas and the bar. The bartender had the TV tuned in to Jeopardy, so my inner (or extremely obvious?) nerd was beaming. In terms of the drinks themselves, I tried the cocoa orange whiskey (?) infusion on the rocks, and my BF had the chipotle paloma. We would both say they were solid, definitely not at "craft cocktail" level, but decent. This bar has a fun + dive-y feel - the kind of place where you get a beer, a plate of chicken nuggets, and watch trash tv with your neighborhood crew (I think they actually do have people who have a weekly Bachelorette viewing during the week). Definitely worth checking out if you're already in the area and looking for ~vibes.~

I've had a number of drinks here and it's been a great meeting spot for late night occasions, especially ones that revolve around a good drink. No doubt it's one of the more underrated nightlife venues in the borough. The setup feels like something out of a Brooklyn type bar - pseudo hipster vibe, casual environment with the whole board games and stacks of books all within a space that is well divided to give a different feel in each corner of the small'ish interior. Like a living room extension but with adult company. Of course, the bar is the most prominent thing in the room and it's a great place to chill as a solo patron. Groups can congregate in the lounge-y areas but the feel is remarkably different depending on where one choses to hang. On a beverage front, there is no shortage of quality drinks to be had. The cocktails are well made and not expensive; the bartenders do a good job of making sure each drink carries a certain kind of potency before leaving the bar. The happy hours are lovely as well, combined with a good deals ($5 shot + beer special, $5 cocktails, etc.) and even better hours (2-8pm!). Lastly, I appreciate a good name. Bad Old Days can be interpreted in many facets, but I think this establishment prides itself on good company and somehow rewards us with simple, good drinks. Bring a friend or three, enjoy the random movies that get projected onto the wall, and enjoy a late night capper in a quiet part of an emerging part of Queens.

We tried a bunch of stuff and the star was definitely the soft scrambled egg tostada, the masa pancakes and coffee tres leches cake. These are a must try! Good to try was also the fried oaxacan cheese but at $14 for 3 pieces, it's not worth a repeat order for me. These were skippable to be honest: mega thick bacon (just ok) home fries (meh) The chilaquiles (pork chorizo, salsa ranchera, crema, queso fresco, sunny up eggs) lacked flavor for a dish with so much going on. Came specifically for their famous masa pancakes and YES, you must get them. Crispy exterior, fluffy and soft inside. Soaks up the delicious syrup perfectly and the slab of cold cinnamon butter on top is the most delicious touch (if you're like me and love butter). I'm also a huge chilaquiles fan (California natives, stand up) so had to try that as well - very, very good. Chips were the perfect balance of crispy and soft, pork chorizo was balanced in flavor. We also got a side of their mega thick cut bacon, home fries, and eggs. All wonderfully executed - easy things to add on that don't take away from the main events. I guess the one thing I wasn't a huge fan of was their drip coffee (no other options outside of cold brew) but if that's the only downer from this meal, I can absolutely live with it. Service was lovely even sitting at the bar and the hosts were really kind as we were a walk-in. Definitely a place to try if you like a unique pancake and Mex-American flavors!
