Half cheese half pepperoni ricotta and long hots

Price be damned. This is the best pizza in Brooklyn. The hype has died down, just go in and order a pie. Reviews about bad service are unfounded. Maybe those reviewers should look in the mirror. Wish there was seating but the vibes feels like you've entered a beautiful time machine. Go down and have the best pizza in brooklyn.

Finally tried this spot! My friend ordered ahead for a 1 PM pickup on a Saturday - highly recommend doing this to avoid a lengthy wait. We got two pies to share among three people and it was perfect (even had some leftovers). We got a half plain half pepperoni - plain was my fave. We also got the fig jam and spicy soppressata and banana peppers (special) - fig jam was soo delish. Overall would return!

Top 5 pizza in NYC hands down. Consistently. Good ingredients, thin, light, flavorful no matter the slice. Make a mean arugula pie. The Vodka and French onion specials are a must have when available. The New Havenish Pie is a MUST TRY as well. Just go. NOW. You won't regret it!

We ordered a pie (half cheese and half pepperoni) online for $32 for pick up at Chrissy's and was lucky enough to be able to eat at the store because it was not crowded. The pie was very thin and crispy with a good ratio of sauce and cheese. I found the crust at the end to be a little overcooked, but my partner really liked the harder texture. I found the pepperoni to be very good. Counter space is very limited (prob only fits 6 people at a time). Staff was friendly and we had a nice chat about other pizza places in the area.

    Jalapeno and Garlic pizza pie

The best pizza in NYC--hands down. The hype is absolutely real and 100% worth the drive from Jersey. Their pies are next level, especially the Jalapeño and Garlic with hot oil--a must-try combo that packs the perfect kick. Follow them on Instagram for daily/ weekly specials. Heads up: it's pick-up only, and limited online orders are accepted case by case. No delivery. They often sell out before closing, so plan ahead! Also, no single slices. Only full pies. One size. Small but mighty pizza place always serving with a wide smile.

This spot in Brooklyn is a cozy pizza joint, well known for its pies. You can't get slices here, so I recommend coming with a friend to try their pizza. Their menu is simple and my friend and I got their half and half special. The pizza was thin crust, crispy, and took a about 15 minutes to make. It was pretty good and definitely in my top three in NYC.

Took for takeout and still retained insane levels of crispness and flavor! Would love to visit again to try other slices - the Spicy White Pie was memorable.

Ugh, not to be a hater, but I had an okayish experience here. We ordered a half cheese/half pepperoni pizza. There was no line when we got there. The wait for the pizza to come out was around 25 minutes. The flavor imo was average. There wasn't anything super notable going on. The inside is cute. The service was fine. There wasn't anything bad about the pizza or the experience, there just wasn't anything great either. All I'm saying is I would be pretty annoyed if I had to wait in line for this.

I'd been wanting to try Chrissy's Pizza for a while now (after seeing it blow up on social media) but wasn't willing to wait in a line for it. Now that the hype has simmered down, we stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch - no line! 4 of us shared the spicy white pie. This was probably the crispiest pizza I've ever had and it was super tasty. I think the crisp factor is what they're known for. After we ordered, it took about 10 minutes to come out, and we were able to eat there. The space itself is small but there's enough standing room for 1-2 groups to enjoy their pie. Time for the negative: They don't do slices, it's smaller than an standard NY pie, and it's very expensive. We paid $38 ($40 with tax) for the spicy white. The regular cheese is listed on the menu for $30. They also don't do half and half for toppings. For example, when getting a full pie elsewhere, we usually order a regular cheese with half pepperoni because my husband eats pepperoni, while I don't (but can't do that here). I probably won't go out of my way to come back, but would stop in if I was already in the area. I do want to try their regular cheese pie!

    Spicy White
    Danielle P.

If you're thinking about ordering the Spicy White, please understand that this is not just a little spicy. It is extremely spicy, to the point where my party and I struggled to finish it. Which was unfortunate, because the dough on this pizza was incredible, and I spent most of the last slice I was sweating through dreaming about what this pizza would've tasted like if I'd chosen another sauce. There was a decent line when we arrived here on a Saturday afternoon. All in, it took us around an hour to order and then receive our pizza, so be ready to wait. They're no longer cash only which was convenient. Ambiance is pizza counter. No frills, nowhere to sit, though there's a park nearby which works for a place to eat your pie in warmer weather. I will most definitely be back to try their other pizza flavors (and if I ever attempt the spicy white again I will for sure only do it on half that pizza because I cannot take the pain again).

Not sure what the hype of this spot is about - maybe it is a niche market that blew up on social media because you have to buy the whole pie; they do not sell slices. Living in NYC, I have had many pizza slices, and although Chrissy's was good it wasn't worth buying the whole pie (unless you have people to share it with!). The inside is retro with old movies you can watch while you wait and look at the 90s knick knacks. The whole store is the open kitchen which is cool to watch them make everything right in front of you. Overall, would I travel all the way to Greenpoint to buy this pizza? Probably not - there a ton of other spots on every NYC block that sells pizza, and you can buy them by the slice instead of the whole pie!

    Carolina S.

Did my boyfriend ask me to join him to pick up the pizza because he thought there might be a limit to one pie per person?!?! Or does he just enjoy my company? There were three of us, it was raining but we were determined to make it to Chrissy's Greenpoint location finally! We had been to the pop up at Superiority Burger and we had a "ratatouille" moment, no there were no rats....but we were in awe of the first pizza bite. We selected a "regular", the special that had some spicy "Calabrian Peppers" pizza and a pepperoni. We ordered the pizzas. We stood outside in the drizzle. The place had some people sitting inside. Warning: you can only order full pies...and if you're planning on eating the whole pie in house then DON'T ORDER THE BOX. I warned you ok. It took about 20 minutes and then we were on our way back home to enjoy. Absolute perfection! Wow! Loved every bite. Loved the classic pizza. The special had that kick in the pants. The boys enjoyed the pepperoni. I know Chris (owner) did his research in pizza. It's not enough that he's the lead singer of the punk band "WARTHOG" but during quarantine he became the pizza specialist. And thank goodness he did. He seemed to know all the right people in the business. And perfected the product. And a few years later, we can take it home with us to enjoy. Can not wait to continue in devouring this pizza for years to come!

I tried looking up this pizza from Target Richfield for a review, but it sent me to the NYC location, so forgive me if this review is in the wrong thread. Anyway, wow. I've been to New York City and ate at the original Joe's Pizza. What an epic slice of pizza. Now back home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the great white north of snow that never ends, I finally tried the frozen Di Fara pepperoni pizza from Target no less. Sorry Joe's, but this is on par with your pizza (if it was frozen). Dave Portnoy was right with his high review. This pizza is very good. The thick cut pepperoni, great basil, and the crisp chewy crust was excellent for a frozen pizza. Nice under carriage as well. I cooked the pizza at 480 degrees in an electric pizza oven for 10 minutes, and the result was very good. I added a drizzle of hot honey, and it was spectacular (okay, I also added some fresh picked jalapeños as well). The pizza was hot and melted in the center, and the crust was very crisp, but still had some chew. Wow. This was the best frozen pizza I have had. Bar none. New York, you spoiled me when it came to pizza. Now I can get a taste of New York at home. Great job! I may or may not eat the last 3 pieces currently sitting in the fridge before bed.

Dom has now passed but his legacy continues. I've always compared the then pie vs now. And like most things,, nothing beats the original. This is still a very good slice. I once rated them as the best in NYC. Unfortunately, its not at the very top but still on the podium. Coming back feels like you are saying hello to an old friend. We ordered a whole pie half plain and half pepperoni, which is only $2.50 more. What I notice right away is the zesty tomato sauce, which Has love. However, I must admit that the crust was a bit too hard for my taste. Yes! It was crispy, but biting through it was somewhat difficult. We shared several appetizers, including meatballs, a margarita, pizza, bake clams, and spicy shrimp. All were delicious. I had a seafood pasta with squid ink that was memorable. Lots of seafood and the pasta was fantastic! Nice bottle of wine at a reasonable price. Good service. Frankly, I think the prices were cheaper than what I pay in Austin area, and the food and venue were authentic and much better than in Texas!

Patsy's Pizzeria delivers where it matters most: the food. I stopped in with a party of three…read morearound 430pm. The Margherita pizza was perfect. Fresh mozzarella, a nicely thin crisped crust, sweet tomato sauce, and fresh basil makes this simple pizza taste great. The fried calamari also impressed. It tasted notably fresh--light, clean, and not overly chewy like pre-frozen versions can sometimes be. While I can't say for certain, it had that just-prepared quality that makes a difference. The Caprese salad was a great way to start the meal, with fresh tomatoes, creamy burrata, and a balsamic drizzle was a nice light start. The atmosphere leans old-school Italian, which adds to the charm and character. Service was fine--nothing remarkable, but no major issues either. That said, my overall rating takes a big hit solely for the restaurants ridiculous tipping policy choices rather than the food itself. The automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill was frustrating. The menu does indicate that 18%, will automatically apply, or will be 20% for parties of six or more. We were only three people, so it felt inconsistent and unnecessary. On top of that, the added cost for credit card usage didn't help. I don't mind tipping for good service! In fact, I tip well--but I prefer having the choice and I'm old school so it's the principle of the matter. Being forced into it, takes away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Bottom line: the food is strong and worth trying, but the billing practices leave a bad taste. If those were adjusted, this could easily be a higher-rated experience.
