Cinnabear and Sweet Vanilla Bean Matcha Latte
    Ashley C.

Love the concept of this new shop! It's a bit on the small side though but luckily it wasn't busy when we came. I love that they sell vintage and vinyl records as well but with the small size it really limits how much they can offer for each category. I hope they'll bring in more vinyl record options. Great service though so that would definitely be a convincing factor to come back! They put cute handwritten messages on the cups. The drinks were decent - the Cinnabear wasn't anything too unique and wish the cinnamon was a bit more incorporated than just the cold foam. I liked the banana matcha more, especially the vanilla bean cold foam! But the matcha flavor itself could be stronger. You can tell by the color of the drink that it's a lot of cold foam and milk compared to the matcha color. Unfortunately I'm not sure how often I'll come because of the paid street parking on this street, plus it's just steps away from another coffee shop that I'm already a big fan of. I was a bit shocked they would open so close to an existing coffee shop! I do wish them success here though because they seem like kind people. I hope they'll bring out more seasonal/specialty drinks that will entice me to return!

I have been here twice now and I absolutely enjoy not only how delicious the coconut Thai tea is but also the overall vibe the music and the $20 drink and bouquet bundle which I really hope they continue to offer! I love all the throwback music they have playing for sure! The drinks have been delicious and the second time I was there I tried the blueberry croissant and it was super tasty not in a traditional croissant form more like a danish, but it was very good. Parking nearby is needed and two hour parking so just keep that in mind if you're coming here. I will definitely be back.

The vibes! They got the dj playing 90s/2000s hits, tvs playing classics, vinyls, thrifts, and delicious coffee. Happy to have found this spot while in downtown running some errands. I will definitely be back.

this is one of the places on the coffee crawl that sam and I are participating in. You pay $15 and then you get a five dollar credit at each of the places that are participating in this event. I thought it was just at three places, but I found out today that it actually gets you five dollars at all of the places. The only bummer is is that I move in less than a week and I've only hit five places. Guess that means I'm having a lot of coffee in the next week. The Cinna bear was the drink that we both got, and it was pretty good. It was perfect level of sweetness for me. Normally just honey isn't sweet enough for me, but the sense they put it in the cold foam. I feel like it had an even distribution of sweetness. Coffee was strong. The vibes in there were super fun. They had a DJ playing records, which was fun. In the back of the shop, they also had a few racks of vintage items as well. They were reasonably priced which I appreciate in this market.

Really really good coffee with sweet workers! Such a cool little spot inside too! They have Vinyl and Clothes as well! I ordered the Cinnabear (10/10) it was perfectly balanced with good coffee flavor and sweetness. Found my new favorite spot! Give them a try!

We stopped by Roasted Threads in Sacramento yesterday and loved it so much we came back again today. Yesterday I ordered the cortado and it was delicious -- perfectly balanced, smooth, and clearly made with care. The whole vibe of the shop immediately stood out. Honestly, there isn't another place in Sacramento with this kind of atmosphere. The mix of coffee culture and music gives it a unique feel. You can tell a lot of detail went into this spot. From the vinyl LPs on the walls to the map of the Sac area on the entry wall. I also loved the merch with the throwback feel to it. When we were there yesterday we found out they were going to have a live DJ today, so we decided to come back. The music took me back -- they were playing 90s R&B and hip hop, which made the whole experience even better. Today i decided to try something new so i ordered the Sweet Vanilla Bean Matcha Latte (my first time ever having matcha) and I loved it. It was smooth, lightly sweet, and really refreshing. Great drinks, great music, and an unmatched vibe. If you're in Sacramento, definitely check out Roasted Threads. We'll definitely be back.

Very nice little spot midtown Sac! Very nice and welcoming staff. The vibe is everything here with the DJ booth playing music. I got a classic Americano which was great and smooth! I'll definitely be back!

I love checking out new cafés and supporting small businesses. My friend and I stopped by to try their drinks, and we both got the Coconut Thai Tea. We loved it and literally drank it all! The vibes were so good, and the space was decorated beautifully. You can really tell how intentional they were with every detail, from the interior and decorations to the way the drinks are crafted. The sweet notes in the drink added to the whole lovely experience. I'm a big Thai tea lover, so I had to try theirs and it did not disappoint. It's not too sweet and not too bitter either, just a perfect balance. Highly recommend coming here :) #livelaughlove!!!

Top tier experience. Located in the downtown area on a wide one-way street which means street parking only! Dont worry theres also metered spots so you should have no issues. Small space with PLENTY of areas to sit. Did not feel cramped while waiting for my order. They offer vinyls for purchase and a separate area with vintage clothes catering to both men and women. R&B was mostly played on the speakers The specialty drinks are worth every penny! I tried the Cinnabear (iced) and Matcha. Originally I was worried the cinnabear would be too sweet but it was perfect! You could taste all the flavors and FEEL when the coffee starts waking you up! The matcha is so smooth and creamy! Im not from sac and will be making the 2h drive for the matcha! Went during their grand opening and will say this is a space to sip and chill not a place for rush and busy unless youre ordering just black coffee. They have quick pick items like chips and a separate drink fridge with juice and water.

I love this place. Coffee + thrifted clothes and records to look through = Heaven! Picked up a thrifted jersey, had a bomb cinnabear latte and listened to some jams, it doesn't get much better than that. The place is a total vibe and was pretty busy but found some seating which was nice. All the baristas were so kind, ill deff be coming back

First time visiting Roasted Threads! They have been open for about a month now and have such a nice vibe! As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a hello and smiling faces. The entire staff were friendly! I ordered the March build a bouquet and speciality drink special for women's history month. I had the Cinnabear latte with oat milk and it was really good! Loved the decor and 90s RnB music playing the entire time. I arrived around 9am and found plenty of seating. However, as the time went on, the shop became packed and busy. Despite the crowd, the line moved quickly. As this part of Midtown has a lot paid parking, I thankfully found free parking on O street, which was a short walk across the street. Highly recommend to check out this new coffee shop in Sacramento!

What an adventure! I was surprised by my family for my birthday to Sacramento for this cafe! They are doing a bouquet and drink special for the month of March! And me being a March baby and love coffee and flowers, this was right up my alley!!!i love the vibes in this place, the drinks, vinyls and vintage clothing! Definitely seems like a place just to chill. When we arrived they had a line out of the line, ABA when we ordered a line continued to die down and build back up. It wasn't due to service being slow (which they were not) it was just due to so many people wanting to come to this coffee shop! I got the drink special, the Cinnabear with oatmilk along with my bouquet (of course)! I loved my drink! I got an iced version with oatmilk, it was a nice balance with coffee and sweetness! Definitely want to go back!

This takes me to a place that takes you back to simpler times from a musical perspective and this is none other than "MediumRare Records". Located at the WAL (Warehouse Artist Lofts) Public Market at the 11th and R St's in Downtown Sacramento, this small business has been in operation dating back to 2015. Hours of business here are 11am-5pm seven days a week. Since this business is in a large indoor public market, many of the neighboring businesses also have very similar hours of operation. What I particularly and thoroughly enjoy about this place is that they focus primarily on vinyl records. This includes a ton of genres including blues, soul, jazz, R&B, classic rock, the British invasion, big band, swing, classical, and much more. Many of the standard records are around the $15-25 range while they offer deep discounts on other records for less than $5. In addition, this place also offers quite a few CD's as well. I also like how this business focuses on major well-known artists/groups such as Elvis Presley and The Beatles as there are dedicated sections displaying their album art and other collectibles. I do want to point out that for the non-musical kind, this place also carries a neat (yet small) assortment of books and other vintage memorabilia. I also wanted to add that they buy, sell, and trade various forms of music (mainly records) as long as it is near-new condition. The service here was above average as I spent at least 30 minutes browsing the aisles of their diverse and unique selection. All in all, "MediumRare Records" is a must-visit place if you're a huge fan of vintage music as myself. Since I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was always into the huge music stores such as "Amoeba" and "Rasputin". So for Sacramento to offer this is a big plus. With a nice selection, decent prices, and a great area in a cozy public market, I am giving this small business an above average four stars.

I'll be honest - as a former record store employee with a terrible attitude that kind of put me off at first. But as I've gotten older and less unruly, it was appreciated when I was able to wax nostalgic about wax with him. Good selection of 7"s, too - and if you look at their website you can virtually check what's in stop before hitting them up. Oh, and they have sales - often! - that are noted on their Instagram page. The owner is very passionate about music and you can tell it from talking to him. He is friendly, was chatting with all the different customers about what they picked, and even gives good suggestions! I bought a record from a band I had never heard of before (Fox Medicine). They were in the metal section but it was cute and bright pink. I looked them up quickly and listened to a couple songs and told myself I had to get that record. The owner was chatting with me about if I liked them or not and I was honest about literally just discovering them. He gave me one of their posters free of charge! They had just performed at his store and so he had a few left. I didn't realize he was giving it to me until we were leaving, I thought he was just showing me the poster. That absolutely made my day once I realized he was just giving it to me. The variety in this store is amazing with loads of vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and even music equipment! Prices are very fair, and everything is properly labeled. Instead of me having to get my hopes up inspect the record, the front usually says the condition, pressing, if it's colored, etc. I don't have to waste my time inspecting it myself, as the staff has already done the leg work. They even have a bargain bin (wall) with great deals! Down on the floor was a box that had cheap project vinyl too. When I worked at a record store I remember teachers coming in looking for the cheapest ones they could find for a various lessons they had coming up. I'm glad The Audio Nerd has a box for people like them. The store is a little bit cramped with how small it is and with how much product they carry, but it is such a gem and so fun to flip through. You can spend an hour or two easily in there despite it being a small store. Live shows even happen here! They move some of the tables out and put a band in there. Shout out Hayden for always promoting upcoming shows there! And as if this place couldn't get any cooler, they also do punch cards too... Who has ever heard of a record store doing a punch card before? Absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a cool new record store, The Audio Nerd is a great place to check out.
