So I use to love this place when I was younger, however, the last time I came here it was just alright. When you walk in you order what you'd like and then sit down with a number. There is an unlimited bread bar with olive oil, vinegar, and butter. Its super nice, just make sure you don't fill up on bread which is totally possible. I always get the Chicken Pesto and Pine Nuts and and its my favorite thing since I've tried my friends dishes before. That being said, that is probably a bias opinion since I really really like pesto. The only downside I have is the older I get I just don't want to go out and get pasta when there are so many other things to get. Ordered take out. 2 Spaghetti Meatballs with an extra meatball each. Meatballs were SUPER SMALL. I'm used to the gigantic meatballs that Melo's serves and was disappointed to see these pale tiny meatballs. I also asked the person on the phone if they gave plain bread with the order, or if I had to place an order separately. He said if it's regular bread, it will come with the order; but when my husband brought home the bag, there was no bread :(( Aside from that the shrimp dishes had the shrimp cooked very well. My whole family loves the Rigatoni Bolognese. I'll let you in my little secret. I'd get a box of Mezzi Rigatoni from the Safeway across the street and pick up a Quart of the Bolognese Sauce. It comes in two parts - the meat and the cream sauce. Just saute the meat sauce for a few minutes, add in the cream sauce before mixing in 3/4 box (12 oz) of cooked pasta. Perfect for a family meal when you need to stretch a few dollars. I've also picked up their party pans to feed a crowd. It's consistently good. Oh, do get some bread to sop up the sauce! read more

Many years ago I ate here when I worked up the street at Barnes & Noble. Thought I'd try again now that I live in a Yelp world. I remember the food, Lasagna, was ok for a quick work night lunch. I came in for lunch one afternoon. It wasn't busy. Only a few people dinning in. You order at the counter and they give you a number to take with you back to your seat. All I ordered was the Grilled Chicken Cesar Salad. The wait for my salad was kind of long. Especially for how not busy they were. The Chicken breast was sliced into strips and laid atop the bed of the Cesar Salad. I started at one end of the Chicken and worked my way in. After about 3 pieces I had to stop. It tasted fine until the 4th piece tasted like how a farm smells. I know that's a weird description but that's what it tasted like. I could only chalk it up to a dirty grill surface that has spoiled grease. I couldn't finish it. Sad because it was a basic Cesar Salad for crying out loud. What a low cost enjoyable pasta experience! I savored my spinach and cheese tortellini (w/ garlic cream sauce) guiltily but I will do it all over again... It was garlic and buttery goodness! I really liked my husbands cajun chicken risotto. It was spicy, tangy and the arborio rice was cooked perfectly. So much so, that I had to scooch my plate next to him and said "let's share"!!! Lol!! I went to lunch with a couple of co-workers this past week and was nervous that I would throw my carb quota out of whack. The cashier was super friendly and helpful (wish her name was on the receipt so I could give her a shout out!) and she took the time to listen to what I was hoping to order. Sometimes I feel like an obnoxious orderer but hey, I am paying for it right? I wanted chicken and broccoli with lots of veggies and no pasta. She told me the best way to order it- 2 veggie packs and chicken with some cream sauce. She didn't make me feel bad for the special order and was the exact opposite. My meal was good overall...way too much sauce but I am sure it would have been the right amount if I had pasta in it. Rigatoni's is close to us and serves nice Italian food in a very casual setting. The price is right and the portions are large. The product is fresh and well prepared. You enter the restaurant to a counter where you order. After ordering and paying for your food you find a table and munch on bread. Servers bring the food out of the kitchen so Rigatonis is a cross between a full service restaurant and the deli where you order and pick up your food. The Vegetarian lasagna we had was quite tasty. Normally our dinner experiences involve talking with our servers and having fun. Since the Rigatoni's system is designed as a casual order system where we only see the server once, then we don't get real excited about coming here regularly. Rigatoni's does however do a good job preparing food at a reasonable price. For an inexpensive chain the food is quite good. Rigatoni's knows how to deliver the food in a timely fashion and the staff is friendly. If you want a good meal value for your family, try Rigatoni's. read more

But the combo is so worth it to me when an entree of the pasta alone is like $7.99. The combo gets me satisfied at a great price. I've ordered the Broccoli and Chicken Pasta and it's simple and good. Not amazing, but good. There's a reason why it's only $8.99. The Caesar Salad is as much as I would expect from a Caesar. What makes it better is their croutons. They're very light but crunchy and good. Love them. And they don't skimp on the dressing, which is a plus for me. All in all, great place to have a decent, cheap lunch. read more

Invited me to go to the fountain to find out for myself, apparently after I ordered and paid for it. I choose no soda. Asked how long should I return to pick-up my order. Cashier didn't know, adding a wide variety of times. I felt as though giving her an order was interrupting her from doing nothing and she was annoyed. At the time, I was the only customer other than a few people already eating at tables. When ready, I was given the plastic food container with spaghetti and miniaturize meatballs plus a few small slices of bread. It was so hot, it was hard to carry out to the car as it wasn't put into a bag. It's hard to believe how small those meatballs were, and not many of them. The spaghetti was okay as we were pretty hungry. The cost for just one order of spaghetti and meatballs from an unpleasant employee was $16.53. It would have tasted the same, been cheaper with more pleasant service if we had got a frozen meal from a grocery store. read more

My wife and I decided to get take out here at this location as we live close by, and something was just off. The food was sloppily put together in the to-go containers and just didn't have the same flavor as the rigatoni's I was used to. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and usually at the CV location it has a stronger garlic flavor. Here it was just flat. I would recommend using more garlic. read more

We've been faithful Rigatoni fans for years. The food is cosistently good, and the bread bar is a nice touch. And old and new Staff is friendly. I only gave them 3 stars because our last few visits we've noticed it's getting dingy looking. The floors are filthy, the plastic table clothes worn out, and need to be replaced. And the bathrooms should be either be given a professional cleaning or remodeled. All these things add up to management needing to have some professional cleaning service clean the floors regularly, get new plastic clothes or just use the formica table top. It's one of those hidden in the corner places that you just pass by and never pay any mind to it but after going here I must say that the food is amazing! It is a little pricey but it's delicious all the same. It's a cute quiet find. I do think that the chicken pesto sauce tasted a little watered down or as if they put Alfredo sauce to compensate but it tasted okay it needed a little seasoning. The pesto cheesy bread was okay as well but it fell apart quick with no distinct serrations for easier tearing to prevent the cheese falling off. the flavor was great. read more
