i got spaghetti and meatballs. the sauce was a little watery but the flavor was decent. A lot of garlic which I like. The burrata appetizer is good, too. read more

Overpriced and overplayed. I've been coming here for a while and I keep holding out hope that it's going to get better but it's been on a steady decline since the new management took over. The food quality has steadily declined, while the prices steadily increase. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

The first time we ordered from here was actually way better while they were still closed for dine in & we just got carry out. Dining in- was weird & gross. So disappointed. Total waste of $. Felt sick after- olive oil was super rancid. Tomato seeds were HARD & CRUNCHY- never experienced that before in my life- but they were & my tooth still hurts from it. Told the waitress about it who just looked at me funny- I know it's super weird- I thought so too! Completely ruined the meal for me. I hate to waste food but I shouldn't have tried to overcome it & just sent it back. $11 for a couple slices of mozz, drizzle of balsamic & those weird tomatoes was SO not worth it. Pizza was WAY too salty & also had cracked pepper liberally added after baking which made it have odd crunchy bites too. Rare time the kids' meals were better than ours. I was surprised at the bad reviews before- now I'm not. read more

We visited early lunch hour. We had the place to ourselves, the restaurant having just recently reopened. All of the menu options looked so tempting - we opted for the pig n fig sandwich and steak salad - both were exceptional. Reasonable prices. wonderful service and tasty sandwich salad and soup options. Come give it a try! read more

Love the location of this beautiful restaurant the atmosphere is very friendly and inviting the waitress was incredible and we loved the choices of food. It's a little hidden away jam that once people know about it they'll go back again and again. read more

Very good food, fairly overpriced. I got the green chili burger, it was delicious but not worth $14. I'm pretty sure it's location factored in to the elevated prices. I was expecting a panoramic view of Salt Lake valley, but it was obscured by trees. Probably not that big of a deal since I'm guessing it's mostly favored by locals, who have great views in their huge homes. Pizza was good, side salad was pretty average, hot wings weren't as hot as the name "widow maker" might suggest, but the flavor was good. I tried the tomato soup which was clearly fresh and superb. Tl;dr worth the drive if you don't mind overpaying and if you want fresh air it's got lots. read more

The drive up to the cafe is breathtaking. It's got a fancy feel without seeming over the top. I enjoyed eating outside by a fire. The waitress we got was super nice. I think she said she was the owners daughter, or some relation. She was nice without seeming fake. She recommended some good food. I liked the bacon wrapped dates. I ordered the calzone, which was pretty good. I'm most definitely going back again. read more

Today we had our Ladies lunch at the Ridge Market and grill. The Cobb salad is more then our highest expectations, as was the other meals ordered such as the turkey club. The turkey club had a surprising sweet berry sauce in the middle with layers of turkey and cheese. The cobb salad was a piece of art work the way the vegetables were laid out on the platter. This place did not disappoint! read more

Lovely place priced right with amazing atmosphere and service.. The food feels and taste like a home cooked meal.. I love how in the summer they open the place up for fresh air.. This place is a hidden gem!! Breakfast lunch or dinner the food is wonderful!! read more

Worth going for the view and ambience. The food is OK, but average or even below average for above average prices. The burger was bland and dry, nothing special. The reuben, likewise, was alright, but not worth the inflated price. The salad and french fries were good. 5 stars for the view and ambience, 3 for the staff, 2 for the food. read more

Love our local neighborhood hangout. The food is excellent, wait staff and owner are pleasantly friendly. We once arrived early for brunch and the owner welcomed us instead of making us wait. #bestbloodymary in Utah! We enjoyed the music entertainment throughout the summer. Only complaint I have would be the prices. If it were cheaper, we'd be there every week. Suggestion/wish: team up with the Suncrest Pool to provide poolside service. read more

This place is so cool, tucked away up in the mountain. It's really unique. I loved eating here in the summer in the open patio. They have a little grocery store inside as well. The food was all wonderful for our family of 7 on my birthday. I only wish it wasn't so far away from our home but it's worth the drive. Yes, it's a little more than your typical fast food place but I love supporting local businesses and will pay for fresh flavors. Can't wait to go again. It feels a little like Colorado to me for some reason. read more

We have loved the ridge and it is a spot we are always going to as soon as the weather allows us to sit on the patio. We look forward to patio weather and the ridge has the perfect atmosphere. Food is over priced and a little bland but worth it for the cute atmosphere and great location. Love the Spanish Guitar music that they play. This summer we have been pretty disappointed with the service. They always seem to be understaffed and never get the bill right because we are ordering both from the register and then our table. We haven't been going as often this year just because of that. Such a bummer! And one huge suggestion. Wait on tables! What is with this order at the counter and get your own water? Having someone actually wait on tables would be a huge improvement. At least for dinner. read more

Went to get some chicken wings for the dinner and was again disappointed in the quality of the food, the chicken was so fried that the wings were stuck to each other, imposible to eat. A complete waste of money! read more

Wonderful variety of different dishes, all quite good. Their gelato cannot be beat. If you're coming for dinner I recommend the Lasagna. I love how meaty the sauce is. The noodles still have a bit of chew, quite the feat for lasagna. Breakfast is heavenly. Word of advice; get the pancakes. They melt in your mouth. read more

The food was great, the service was amazing and Seeing as though we are in a pandemic, I felt like they were very careful with cleanliness and sanitation to ensure our safety as customers as well as the safety of their own staff. Sitting out on their cute and charming patio, amid the SUNCREST mountain was just what we needed for a girls night out. It wouldn't have been near as fun had we not had such amazing food as well! read more

After our hike my husband, myself, and my daughter stopped here. We've been wanting to stop by and try it but just haven't got around to it. We went in and we loved the atmosphere first hand. Super clean and great music playing. The options were incredible too. So many different choices from salads, burgers, pasta, and more. I went with the ridge burger and sweet planks (sweet potatoes fries) my husband got Alfredo. Both excellent and the portions great. This place is a little bit pricer for a cafe but it's worth it to both my husband and I. We will be back for sure to try more goods. read more

I live in Suncrest. The first 2 times I went here it was great. Went last week and the service and food has declined dramatically. First the pepperoni pizza was not done, very soggy. Our other pizza was burnt. So I'm not sure they have their cooks fully trained on sending out food that is up to standard. Then my burger didn't come out until my entire party was done eating, I had to eat alone. The pretzel fondue was possibly the worst tasting thing I've had I years. So note to the owner. You only have the homes in Suncrest to survive And feed your business. Now 2 full families are not coming to the restaurant due to this experience. That's 16 people total that will not come again. It's all about the food and service. The restaurant is really nice, but the food has to be better than average. And the service needs to improve. The prices are at a premium, so people expect a premium product. I wish my experience was better. read more

Friendly service in a congenial atmosphere. The food was excellent. The view was idyllic. I had the philly style beef hoagie it had a perfect au jus dip. The hint of horseradish was also perfect. My wife had the chili verde burger and it was cooked and spiced to perfection. read more

I called to order "Peggy's Chicken Salad" and was told that it does not have chicken. I was then told I had to pay an additional $3 for the chicken! When we went to pick it up, my husband paid and the lady walked away leaving the food on the counter between the chefs/kitchen and the area behind the register (completely out of our reach). We eventually had to flag another employee down to get the meal. I sent a private message on their Facebook page detailing the above. This is what the owner sent back in response: Laura, Cal Wadsworth here. We have received and reviewed your comments regarding our service and staff. We have also reviewed your comments to other restaurant establishments. The Ridge is our home. We welcome respectful and gracious guests and as such, we don't believe you fit our customer profile. Good luck ! Cal wadsworth Apparently the staff learned their crappy customer service from the owner. We will NEVER go back. Read the other reviews and you will see that there is a problem with the owner and criticism. read more

My family discovered this place through a friend a few weeks ago. Love the food and atmosphere. Went there tonight with my son and since it was just the two of us we decided to share. We ordered a pizza with 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 cheese. We were told they could not do 1/2 toppings on any pizza. Company "policy"! I hate hearing company policy. Seriously how hard is it to only put pepperoni on 1/2 a pizza. We left. I hate writing a bad review on a small locally owned business but I am very disappointed that common sense didn't over rule "policy." Enjoyed a delicious pizza at NY Pizza Patrol instead! They do offer 1/2 toppings! read more

This place makes living on the top of the mountain worth it. The food quality is better than any place in Draper. The ambience is absolutely top notch and I try to find excuses to go out of my way and eat here. If you do special diets or demand meals exactly your way, you're missing out big time. You could be enjoying an awesome meal in a great place. Also, their Bloody Mary's are phenomenal. Go to there. Go to there now. read more

Had the Not Yo Mama's Meatloaf. Very good. Too much garlic in the scalloped potatoes, but I'm not a big garlic fan. By my wife, who usually likes garlic, also felt like it overpowered the potatoes. But the atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant as we watched it blizzard outside - yes, on April 28th. Also enjoyed the live music from Paul Borruff(?). He started by playing into the song that was on the background music, then sang a composed-on-the-spot rendition of White Christmas with lyrics applicable to the weather and location. Volume was good yet loud enough to both hear him and carry on a conversation. I'll definitely come back again. read more

If you're anywhere near the south end of the valley, as the winter inversion sets in, The Ridge is worth a drive up the hill to get out of the smog and away from the glare and boring frozen sameness of chain restaurants. Excellent casual dining at the top of South Moutain. Whether a simple two-egg breakfast, eggs benedict brunch or casual dinner, my experience at The Ridge has been wonderful. Family-friendly, quiet and comfortable with freshly made food, and quality ingredients and very reasonable prices. (The photos accompanying the listing as I write the review do not do the restaurant justice. There is a small section of convenience items behind a wall but the dining area and kitchen are flanked on one side with a wall of windows. The decor is rustic country cafe, very warm and the kitchen is equipped with a pizza oven that is a work of art.) read more

The Ridge appears to be under new ownership or new management . We have eaten there many times under the original owners and enjoyed it very much. Based on our last meal there this last Wednesday evening, things have gone down hill with the food alot. Even the service is less friendly and accommodating. It's still OK but the food selection/ menu has changed and we found it to be not nearly as flavorful as it used to be. Now is very average We may give it another try as it is close to home, but unless they step it up that will likely be our last visit there.....life's too short for average food. read more

This place is a neighborhood joint because nobody would drive to Suncrest to eat here. The drive is far and curvy. Don't get me wrong, the food is great but the drive is difficult from the valley. You order at the counter and they bring your food out for you. You can order beer and wine. They have these spicy fries that are delicious. Everything i have had is pretty good besides the fondue. Weekends they have live music. read more

This place is definitely hidden away from the main area of Draper up about 3.5 miles in the Suncrest area. If you've never heard of Suncrest, don't worry. Most people haven't. I've been here twice now. It's a really cute little place, especially during the summertime. The windows on the west side of the building are actually garage doors that open up to the patio and create an indoor-outdoor feel when it's warmer outside. The staff is very friendly and nice. The food is very tasty and I've had a few tastes of different things here, and have never disliked anything, but the portions are definitely on the smaller side. I would not come here if I was too hungry. The chicken fettuccini alfredo is really great, creamy and the chicken is grilled well and maintains a juicy bite. The margarita pizza has beautiful slices of cherry tomatoes and a hand/tossed thin crust with great spices and cheese. Tonight I tried the salmon fillet entree. The salmon was grilled to perfection, the mashed potatoes were creamy with just a slightly bumpy texture-which I love and the 3 pieces of asparagus were crisps and not soggy at all. The portion was just really small for nearly $20. I have yet to come for breakfast/brunch, but I do look forward to it! read more

Wonderful atmosphere, great food!!! 5 stars all the way! Please note, that you will order, and pay at the register first, so don't forget to order dessert as well! If you have babies or small children prepare yourself for this set-up, as sometimes it's hard to hold the little ones, while standing, and carrying cups and your table-number, and other stuff... If you can, have your hands free, before ordering..., maybe find a table first, and get everyone's order, and get everyone settled before walking up to the register to order, so you can handle the self serve environment. Then sit down, relax, get your drink from the machine that gives you 100s of choices, and wait for them to bring you your awesome food! read more

The food and service was definitely worth five stars! They have an open kitchen and as we sat and ate I watched two employees playing on their phones then handling food then playing with their phones again and again which kind of grossed me out. Also witnessed another employee eating as she was cooking and preparing food. Probably nothing that doesn't happen in a normal restaurant but with an open kitchen it was pretty gross to watch. If I eat there again I will probably get it to go. read more

This is exactly what is needed in the dining wasteland that is Draper. Good food, drink and atmosphere. When we arrived we were told that the bar tender had to leave early but Melody stepped up to make some very tasty Bloody Mary's. Patio, music and whole vibe is very welcoming. Very tasty sandwiches and appealing, but not on overwhelming menu. We will certainly be back! read more

This place is great. Beautiful views, terrific food, good drinks and great staff. I had the spaghetti Bolognese which was delicious and full of meat. The meatballs were perfectly sized and delicious. The dessert of the pan cooked cookie with ice cream was also very good with the cookie being just the right amount of chewiness. My fiancée had the fish and chips, the fish was perfectly fried and prepared and the fries were very good as well. Our group of 6 had no problem finding seats however I think that was partially due to good timing of our arrival as it got quite busy after we arrived. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we all agreed that we would be returning in the future. There was however one thing that kept them from getting a five star review. As a place that is supposed to be known for its wine selection having the entire red wine selection being sold out was very disappointing. Also one of the members in our group was not able to have the margarita she ordered because they were also out of triple sec. We will be going back however to try this place again so hopefully these issues will be addressed and if so I will update my review. read more

I love this venue and the menu. I ordered the margarita pizza which was spicier than I expected but it was still good. The fries are amazing and the staff is a delight to deal with. I love the atmosphere of this place. Unfortunately I have been disappointed 3 times with the quality of food. I had the meatloaf that was flavorless and the berry compote was way too sweet and over powering. The gratin potatoes were undercooked and almost raw. My wife had the fettuccini and it was gluey and lacked flavor. The only redeeming factor were the deserts. read more

The food was bland and overpriced. Way overpriced! We paid $50 for fish & chips and 3 fish tacos with fries. The service was snooty. We sat at the table for awhile after we had all finished, just visiting. The server passed us several times yet made no offer to clear our plates. As for the "market", it consists of a few interesting items, many of which have signs indicating you can place and order and they'll get it in for you. What was available for immediate purchase seemed overpriced to me. We won't be going back. Definitely a disappointment. read more
