When my food came out I believe I was given the chicken niccola which was fine because it was also an option I was considering. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant after seeing so many positive reviews and appetizing photos online. Unfortunately my experience was disappointing before I even had a chance to eat. The restaurant's online hours showed it was open during prime dinner time on a Saturday, so I made the 25 minute drive only to find it closed with no explanation. A few other people arrived at the same time expecting to enjoy dinner here, but were equally confused and bummed. What made it even more confusing was a note on the door saying the restaurant was on vacation for 2 weeks, but the dates listed were for late June to early July. It's now late July. I'm not sure if the business forgot to update its hours or if something unexpected came up, but having inaccurate details online / unreachable contact made for a frustrating experience. I hope they can keep their online information up to date in the future as I'd still like the opportunity to try the food someday. read more

I've never had anything here that wasn't absolutely delicious! From bread to salad to appetizers to entrees to desserts, Napoli's knows how to do it all. On my most recent visit, I tried the amazing creamy carbonara and a yummy chocolate chip cannoli. (Maybe the best cannoli I've ever had.) Full disclosure: on another recent visit, the front desk staff was a little rude, but that's never happened before and it hasn't happened since, so it must be an anomaly. read more

I eagerly awaited the opening of this spot. My husband and I came here on a rare child-free date. It was fairly early, so we were one of the few in the restaurant. It was clean and modern. Our service was decent, and our food was decent. There was nothing "bad" about our experience, but also nothing super notable that blew us away. Ambiance Nice Italian restaurant in SLC. Open and airy space. They serve mostly the pasta sort of Italian food. Food Carbonara Chicken Alfredo Eggplant rollatini - this was what I got, and it was good for what it was. I'm glad I tried this; in the future, I will order a dish with meat, less carbs, and less drenched-in-sauce. Chicken parmigiana Stuffed shells Bolognese Desserts: chocolate cake (very thick), carrot cake (nothing special compared to other carrot cakes I've had), and tiramisu (very good and moist). Consistently tasty with a good variety. The staff are attentive, helpful, and efficient. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable. They have a solid variety of very tasty Italian dishes. Every meal starts with delicious Parmesan rolls. Fish dishes, pasta dishes, and appetizers are all tasty. Food arrives at the perfect temperature with nice presentation. The marsala, which should be a marsala wine sauce, tasted more like it came from a jar and lacked flavor. Because of their location, they do a good business, but volume should not be confused with. I went with a friend to Napoli's Italian Restaurant in Midvale recently. WOW! We both loved this place so much! It was very clean & service was great! I ordered the Modo Mio pasta dish minus the pancetta. I was trying to go out of my comfort zone a little with this dish. It had mushrooms & artichoke hearts mixed with a creamy red sauce and noodles. It was so good! My friend ordered the Florentine with chicken & she loved it! We've been talking about when the next time is that we can go back honestly! I loved the complimentary bread that they give as well. It was almost like a pretzel thickness, but so soft. I loved dipping this in my sauce on my main dish. Both meals also came with a side salad. Food was amazing and tasty!! Portions are very fair for the price and the menu has a wide variety of Italian staples and proteins. Best appetizer was the stuffed mushrooms with crab! I also got the Shrimp and Scallop pasta and was very pleased with the flavor! Seafood was ample and fresh in the pasta. Complementary bread was also provided. My partner and I have never been out for italian, but after trying this place we are willing to come out to try other italian options! (Long review) ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! (Went to the one in Sandy) I had the Chicken Alfredo, the Lemoncello, The Caesar salad and the bread, the stuffed mushrooms and oh my gosh. I'm about to go into detail about each one: The Chicken Alfredo: The sauce was thick and creamy, and seasoned EXTREMELY well. The noodles were soft and had such a rich flavor. Don't even get me started on the chicken though!!! It was soft, well seasoned, cooked to the perfection and paired so well with the sauce and noodles! The (Garlic) Bread (unlimited): Where do I even begin to start?! It was soft, warm every time it came out, delicious and had that, I could eat this forever feeling when you ate it. The Garlic wasn't overwhelming either which only added to the loveliness. Unbelievably delicious! The Caesar Salad: Delicious. But, I can never go wrong with a Caesar salad either. The cucumbers, lettuce and tomatoes were all fresh and cold like a salad should be, and the sauce had the good flavor of a Caesar sauce! The croutons were so good as well!!! The Stuffed Musrooms: Saucey, warm, soft, where do I even begin to start?!?! Delicious. The sauce was creamy, the mushrooms were soft and full of rich flavor, and the crab was delicious. Finally, the Lemoncello: OH. MY. GOD. This was so delicious! It actually tasted lemon-y, was soft yet still sweet, not soggy, and the strawberries were some of the best strawberries I've had. The sauce on top was just the wonderful finishing touch. Now, the service. Absolutely wonderful. The servers were so nice, always was polite, and one even offered to take our picture. I can't tell you how kind they were! Absolutely how service should be everywhere! Finally, the ambiance. It was quiet! I could actually talk to my family without having to yell over others, and it was a calm environment so I didn't get overstimulated either. They had on music like stuff by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, so it was also that kind of vibe. If you know, you know. I know it may seem like I'm overhyping this place to some, but I'm not. It really is such a good place to eat, and perfect for dates as well. DEFINITELY coming back here for things like birthday dinners or celebrations. read more

Ordered delivery from here twice. Everything was packaged to perfection. You get a wonderful side salad, choice of dressing and each entree gets two delicious garlic rolls. First time we got the tour of Italy (wonderful!) and the chicken piccata. The chicken piccata desperately needed seasoning and the sauce needed depth. It tasted see through, like it was a hint of something but not fully there. The second time we ordered the chicken Alfredo (fantastic!) and the Gorgonzola. The Gorgonzola was EXTREMELY SALTY!!! it was inedible. I cannot believe the chef would send that out for delivery. It was very upsetting that I threw money in the garbage. I will never order from here again, it's already an upcharge for delivery but then you risk them not testing the food to see if it's good before sending. They need to do better. read more

A true taste of Italy! This charming restaurant checks off all the boxes. The interior is tasteful, nice booths anchor the room and there are some nice design details (although a few dividers in the large room would make it cozier). Our waiter, Gino (yes) was super attentive and willing to please. He made nice recommendations and accommodations to special dietary needs. His authentic Italian pronunciations added to the overall experience. Food came quickly. We tried four dishes at our table and all came with a nice salad and delicious garlic rolls with dipping sauce. The Taste of Italy was a huge plate of food and a nice sampler. The chicken Piccata had two chicken breasts and a nice amount of pasta. The Pesto Genovese was delicious, lots of garlicky sauce but not a noticeable pesto flavor (I substituted shrimp for the chicken), and the Bravissimo was fresh and flavorful. We all had leftovers to take home. We were too full for dessert, but I'm sure they would be good. This is a special occasion restaurant for a nice night out and a filling delicious meal. read more

First I rate Italian places on the quality of the bread and this place did not disappoint!! 10 out of 10 homemade bread. We started with Buscetta and Calamari both were fresh and the calamari was tender. Our server September was kind , timely and very knowledgeable about the menu. For our main entrees we had the shrimp/ scallops in a creamy fettuccine sauce. The shrimp and scallops were cooked to perfection. The pasta combo portions were enough for 3 people ...stuffed shells, baked ziti, lasagna and manicotti. All I can say I said to Frank the owner and his father is it was a privilege to get such quality food in all courses. Thank you thank you we will be back again and again. I've wanted to try this new Italian restaurant since they opened a few weeks ago. I've been by twice and I'm always too early, but today I was able to make the early dinner service. By the time I left every seat was taken and there were people waiting on the guest list I would have been long gone before the Dinner rush started coming in, but I had a waiter that left me hanging most of my time there. I waited so long to be acknowledged that I took out my phone and started the stopwatch just to see how long I would have sit there before they took my order. What made it worse was having all these waiters and bussers walking around, or standing by the entrance to the kitchen just staring out into the dining room or even worse they would lean against the wall and just stare. It was making me uncomfortable. I'm guessing this is my server's first gig or maybe this type of restaurant was too much for him. I had to keep flagging down the manager on duty. Who by the way was NOT Friendly at all. I apologized to him for flagging him down several times, but my waiter was nowhere to be found. I thought the table next to me had a really good waiter (Calvin). He explained things on the menu, made suggestions, checked on his customers and really tried to make you feel like you were in Italy having the best Italian meal right here because the chef is actually from Italy. *Just remember because you are from Italy doesn't mean your food is good. I ordered the Veal Napoli which was supposed to be made with DRIED TOMATOES, FRESH TOMATOES, ASPARAGUS, MOZZARELLA CHEESE, SHERRY WINE MARINARA SAUCE, AND SPAGHETTI. NOWHERE does it say the veal is breaded. It does however say it's breaded if you order the Veal Parmigiana. In all my travels around the world I have never seen veal breaded especially in Italy. You can imagine how disappointed I was. Plus it was covered in melted cheese on top of the breaded meat. (Which was tough for veal) Veal should melt in your mouth. This did not. The house salad was pretty good after picking out the wilted lettuce pieces. The best part of my meal was the two bread rolls. Since there is no liquor license, I thought a nice cup of coffee and dessert would be a nice ending to my meal. After my waiter brought my coffee, I flagged the manager down who happened to be walking by again..because the coffee was cold and my waiter was nowhere to be seen... again Ugh I didn't get any dessert after all, I was ready to leave, especially with all the tables filled it got really loud...not your quiet romantic dinner environment for sure. read more

I'm sorry, but the food was sorry. The stuffed mushrooms supposedly stuffed with king crab were absolutely bland. Any flavor of mushroom or crab was drowned out by the mediocre vodka cream sauce they were served drowning in. Very disappointing to say the least. But, I held out hope for the Rigatoni Scarparelli which, according to the waitress, is one of their best dishes. Scarparelli should be a wonderfully flavorful dish of chicken with sausage and peppers and onions. No drippy sauce here. What arrived was mushy, overcooked pasta just swimming in that same mediocre vodka cream sauce just washing away any other flavor there might have been. I struggled to find any chicken. So disappointing. Scarparelli is a classic dish from Naples. A restaurant named Napoli should get this dish right. What I got was just soupy and wrong. Even the bread was doughy and undercooked. And, to top it all off, when I brought this all up, the waitress had the audacity to berate me for being "not nice." At least they comped me the meal. read more

I'm not usually one to leave a bad review but the service was terrible. I went here for a birthday dinner with a group of 9 and unfortunately the experience was really disappointing. The food itself was fine but nowhere near good enough to make up for the terrible service. When we first sat down, the server asked about appetizers and mentioned the garlic cheese bread but didn't tell us that complimentary bread was included. We ended up ordering the cheesy bread and then about 30 minutes later she casually said she would bring out the garlic bread which felt misleading. Service only went downhill from there. Drinks were never refilled and I had to ask 40 minutes in just to get a Diet Coke which never even came yet was still attempted to be charged. Our waters were filled once at the beginning and never touched again. No one checked on our table or asked if we needed anything the entire time. To make it worse, there is an automatic 20% gratuity for parties over 6 so we were required to leave a large tip despite receiving some of the worst service I have experienced. Overall, the food was okay but the service completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun birthday dinner. read more

All the meals come with bread and salad and the salad is a very nice size I would recommend giving this restaurant a try if you enjoy good, traditional, pastas, and seafood.
