Lamb pita wrap & Labneh w. garlic and pita. If I lived here, this spot would absolutely be in my regular rotation. I ordered the lamb pita wrap and watched them grill the meat over wood-fired coals. It was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. If you're a big eater, order an extra skewer and have them add it to the wrap. We also started with the Labneh with garlic, which was a fantastic - it's fresh and vibrant. All of the breads are made in-house in their tandoor-style oven, and the pita served alongside it was warm, fresh and spectacular. The ordering process is simple - order at the counter, take a number, find a seat, and pick up your food when your number is called. The staff was clearly busy, but when I asked a few questions about the business, they were more than happy to stop and chat. I complimented them on both their operation and the food. They seemed genuinely appreciative. I think places like this are special because they are a well run kitchen with people who care about what they're doing. And in return it comes out in their product - really good food. The ovens and cooking area are customer facing, and everything is made to order right in front of you. The interior has the feel of a one time American diner with floor tiles that match the chairs. But make no mistakes about it, this is far from that. And when I was sitting there watching the person grill skewers over the wood coals, I was thinking that this restaurants kitchen was being run like I was sitting in an open-air café in Beirut. Great hidden spot for fresh yummy Mediterranean food. Big portions enough to share. My mom, sister, & I shared one salad and one veggie plate and we still had leftovers. Definitely recommend their chicken shawarma that slowly cooks around a spit making the meat super juicy. Make sure you try their garlic sauce. It'll leave you with bad breath all day but it's so well worth it. The veggie plate makes a good appetizer plate so you can try a little bit of everything. Watch out for their sport peppers. It's 2x hotter than the ones you're use to eating at In-N-Out. It gave me the hiccups but so good. This place is big enough for large parties and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have a friend who eats Halal, and when we go to lunch, she recommends places that have dishes she can eat, including Beirut Cafe. It's adjacent to a gas station, but don't let that deter you. The food is delicious and is worth a stop. You order at the counter, then pick it up a little while later when it's ready. I guess they'd call that "fast casual." Not only do they have great food, but they serve Farr ice cream, which is my favorite ice cream brand on the planet. No sense of costumer service. My wife is vegetarian so I ordered falafel sandwich for her. The cocky boy who served me food lied about the food despite his manager / mother telling him this is not a falafel wrap and it was a chicken wrap but he kept insisting it was falafel wrap. Met a friend here, and we both enjoyed our experience. I'm not an expert in Mediterranean cuisine, but I would say our food was pretty tasty. My beef tasted a little like lamb, but it was still enjoyable, so no real complaints here. The inside is clean with ample tables and chairs. Bonus points for also having an ice cream shop in the restaurant as well! Has its own parking lot. Totally empty at 3 on a Friday. My son got the kids chicken shawarma and I got the chicken shawarma plate. Plus we got 2 drinks. I was annoyed that it was $40 at first but then neither of us could finish our meals! 2 people could easily share 1 meal. My son loved his fries and said the fry sauce was good too. And we both really enjoyed the very flavorful chicken and rice (make sure to try the garlicky white stuff... no idea what it is but I put a dab on my fork before each bite and it was so tasty). Beirut Cafe is a clean and cozy spot, and I really liked that they have an ice cream shop attached to it too! I tried the chicken shawarma, a side of gyro, and kibbeh. The kibbeh was absolutely delicious and my favorite of the bunch. The chicken shawarma was solid and came with hummus and bread, which made it a filling meal. About halfway through, I felt like the dishes could use a bit more spice or heat--would be nice if they offered that option. The meat was extremely tender and flavorful, definitely my favorite thing here. The Shish Kafta was overcooked, otherwise it would have been really good. They offer incredible, authentic Mediterranean food. Avoid ordering on the grub hub apps. Like most places hit with DoorDash and grubhub menu & service fees, the prices are significantly less expensive when you order directly from their menu at the restaurant. AND...They have a drive thru. It's one of the few places in the SLC/Cottonwood area where you'll find more fresh, justifiably healthy food from the convenience of your car. If you know, you know. Driving around on a lazy Sunday in sweats gives drive thru, not being seen in public vibes but not necessarily wanting greasy fried stuff on a hot Spring day. Beirut is the answer! My friend and I, also a Yelper, ordered the Mixed Grill platter - it has a chicken, kafta (ground spiced beef), and lamb kabob with rice, hummus, crushed garlic, and pita. It reminded me of my favorite place back home, also a Lebanese restaurant. I just need the rose water lemonade to round it out! It was delicious and next time I will definitely try the kafta kabobs. My wife loves Mediterranean food so we tried this place. We ordered Fatoush, Fried Kibbeh, Falafel, and a Gyro. The Fatoush had pomegranate molasseses, lemon juice dressing topped crunchy pita bread strips. I would totally recommend this dish. The Kibbeh and falafel and Kibbeh was good too but just needed more flavor. The gyro did not have enough meat and they put a pickle in it which overpowered the gyro flavor.
