This place is amazing! I love coming here for the Vodka Rigatoni! I literally could eat the sauce all by itself it's that good! Service is good too! They gave a few recommendations before ordering :) I like this location but it feels a little bit too big. I like the murray location better but the food is equally as good at both locations:)

We got to sit outside because luckily the weather was delightful and such a vibe. This was my birthday dinner! The sauces are so yummy and fresh and the pasta noodles taste very homemade/not factory. Your entrée comes with bread to dip in oil and it was delicious, couldn't get the photo before we devoured it! The lady that took our order was very helpful with all suggestions. Would come here again!

I'd like to start my review off by talking about the thing I liked most...that was the service! We were greeted upon entering the restaurant and the staff were very friendly. They were eager to answer our questions and very welcoming. They checked on our table a few times throughout the evening. To clarify, this restaurant is more of a casual setting, but they have great service that checks in often. The ambiance was decent! Modern, but lacking a little in quality. It's hard to want to pay on average $20 for a plate of pasta and then be in that setting. I feel like the seating could be better spaced and better quality. The food was decent! I think it's overpriced, but it was pretty good. I got the gluten free pasta with vodka sauce. The vodka sauce was good but nothing special! My husband got the pesto pappardelle which he really enjoyed. I tasted his sauce and it was delicious. He also added shrimp and they just brought the shrimp on the side. Overall I think the food is decent but way too overpriced especially when it doesn't come with protein. It costs $10 extra to add chicken to your dish...yikes! The portion size is okay but I was surprised to pay what I did and not have leftovers. I think Basta is decent but probably won't be returning because I don't want to pay that premium pricing!

Basta has stolen my heart. While I enjoy pizza I don't get it often...that is until I found Basta. Their pizza is so tasty and also well priced, it's an easy choice to get a full pizza for myself without breaking the bank. I've gotten their Margarita pizza more times than I can count, and their olive oil cake is glorious. If you have leftovers, I recommend reheating in the oven for best next day pizza enjoyment. I only dined in once of the many times I've ordered here, and the vibe was a little moody and relaxing, and the workers serving us were so kind. Excited for my next Basta visit!

The environment is very much lacking for the price. Metal chairs on a concrete floor. When we walked in it was very warm, nearly 80°, It felt. We mentioned it and they turned on the AC which was kind. It instantly got to 65° it seemed anyway. Too cold for a warm dinner. (I did ask them to cool it down so that's on me) We ordered two meals, two beers, and one milkshake for our daughter. The cost was nearing $90 for a walk up order plus tip. Feels outrageous to me! The food was very subpar. They bring out a "bread basket" that has exactly 3 to 4 slices of a slim cut baguette. This is our third time there and we will not be back. We had to ask for salt and pepper multiple times before we could get any. The atmosphere is very much like a cafeteria for a finer dining experience price. We spend less going to the cliff and get all the comforts.

Stopped the new eatery in Draper. Love Basta! I have been going to their Murray location for years now and I must say it is consistent. Vibe is so refreshing, gives a little modern sleek feel. Service was great! Food came out super quick! Oh! And I always enough the fresh made pasta.

Saddest pizza in the world, what is going on with the crust

The pizza crust was so thin and soggy. Won't be going here again. The pizza also wasn't cut all the way through so we had to tear it and it just fell apart because is was soggy

Always a plus to see an Aperol Spritz on the menu though, my favorite. Our food was a little hit and miss. My friend's clam pasta had the workings of an amazing dish, but it needed salt and more lemon to really make the flavors punch. Our ravioli was incredible, but might I suggest a slightly larger serving size to really be filling. The Quattro Formaggi pizza was good, but not the most memorable dish of the night. That was my friend's lasagna. That gets 10 stars. Also 10 stars to the lemon cake. It was incredible. Our server was charismatic.

Simply delectable. Our entrees were short rib ravioli and chicken mushroom ravioli. The short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a pinot noir sauce inside and out. Chicken mushroom ravioli was accompanied by a fresh and tastebud-satisfying basil pesto. All raviolis were made at order and generously filled. Pasta was a bit more al dente for the chicken from its shorter cooking time, but make mistake that both were perfect. Throughout our time, Susy came out and visited with us during different cooking stages. She shared stories about the rice she uses for her arancini (not arborio) to make it more authentic to its Sicilian roots, how tomatoes make the difference, and how she's adapted her recipes to maintain flavor in the more arid Salt Lake valley. You really feel invested in what you're about to enjoy when you learn how she works hard at all the details. It's safe to say that you'll likely be full when leaving, but none of it will feel heavy. You'll feel full of Susy's love for Sicilian and southern Italian food. We cannot recommend Susy's enough and are already making plans for when we'll be back to try another sure-to-be-fantastic meal.

Not a single open table. PACKED. And honestly... now I get it. I'll be real--I went in a little unsure. Most of the reviews are a few years old, and while there are photos posted by the owner, they don't say what anything is (which made ordering a bit of a guessing game). A few things I asked about were actually old specials... which was a little disappointing. BUT--this is where it turned. Our server went out of his way to ask the kitchen if they could recreate a taco salad I saw in one of the photos... and they said yes. Immediate gold star. And when the food came out?? Massive. Like... borderline shocking portions. My taco salad was on a giant Navajo taco base and LOADED--cheesesteak-style meat, fajita onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato, avocado, chipotle dressing, salsa... every bite was so good. And somehow it all stayed in place (which if you've ever fought a falling-apart taco salad, you know matters ). My husband got the fish and chips and I'm usually not a fish and chips girl--but this?? I'd order it myself next time. Flaky, moist fish with the crispiest, lightest batter. So, so good. We finished with cheesecake (raspberry key lime + blueberry sour cream). They were good and fresh, but not quite as wow as the entrees--just wished they were a little creamier and the key lime had more tang. But overall? We walked in unsure... and left already planning what we'd order next time. Safe to say: totally unexpected, totally impressed, and 100% coming back.
