We each got the sweet potato planks, which are fries. The only thing that I would like to see different is the ordering process. Food is ordered at the counter and you take a number to your seat. The restaurant is large enough that wait staff had a hard time finding the correct table to take the food to. However, this place is nice and relaxing. We will be back. This is a solid yes to go here! The drive is beautiful the ambiance of the restaurant feels like home. We ordered the Eggs Benny but they were out of hollandaise sauce so then we went with the ricotta pancakes that came with two eggs and sausage. The sausage was so yummy, some kind of an apple sausage. We also got the turkey French French dip and garlic bead. I did get a onion soup that was just a bit to oily for my liking. UPDATE: Owner got back to me. Change can be hard but I love that they are committed to getting it right and listening to feedback from customers. I can tolerate a lot of uncomfortable changes if I know management is trying to do right by the customer. They are tinkering with the menu but they have good reasons to tinker and it is worth the ride to see how it plays out. I am confident they'll continually improve the full-service experience. Most of all I'm glad they got rid of the tipping practice of pre-selecting the tip and watching you pay. I will definitely go back. Also, their burgers are good, pizzas are good, desserts are great, salmon salad is great. I like that they are trying new things though like Thai night. I love their ice cream. Can't say enough good things about this place. I am in town for work for several weeks and have deemed this my favorite spot. The food is as spectacular as the view of the surrounding mountains and the laid back (but classy) atmosphere. The wait staff is incredibly friendly, informative, and attentive. The manager is thoughtful, helpful, and just so refreshing to be around. I have dinner here a few times a week and highly recommend the burrata appetizer. It has a pleasantly unexpected presentation and is mouth wateringly delicious. Great salads as entrees, shrimp scampi is light and flavorful, and the desserts are to die for. Had no idea this little gem was located in draper. Pleasantly surprised to discover it and that they have live music on Wednesdays. I shared the asparagus proscuitto appetizer, which was light and delicious. Had the shrimp scampi pasta as my entree and was glad I did. The Sinful 7 cake gets a solid A-. Comes out of the display cold. Seven different chocolates across several variations. A layer of traditional rich chocolate cake, white-chocolate mousse, thick layer of nearly-solid fudgy frosting, chocolate powder on the outside, plus three more. UPDATE: Added a star for the great response from the manager. Also, my most recent visit was MUCH better. Still personally prefer the old way, but maybe I just don't like change? ....... I've been a frequent visitor (multiple times a month) since the ridge opened a few years ago. My house is within walking distance so it's the perfect spot to walk up with the kids and grab a decent meal and enjoy the unique vibe of the restaurant, especially when they have live music. Although sometimes inconsistent, the food is always decent. Over the last couple of months, the food has really improved. Pizza is awesome, new menu items, etc. Nothing but good things to say about the new menu (except I personally liked the old fries better). Might be SLIGHTLY higher prices but it really isn't too bad considering we are on top of a mountain. So that has never bothered me. However, the restaurant has recently changed from a cool, casual, easy ordering experience where you order at the front and they bring the food to you..to being a more formal sit down with a server experience. I hate the change. The entire experience took longer and naturally, costs 20% more now that tips are a factor. The restaurant also felt more cramped and busy as the servers try to make their way around the space which doesn't seem suited for this new process. Our server, Dottie, was actually really great. I just personally much prefer how it was before. What used to be a great, easy, goto spot for us has now become much more of an ordeal and just less enjoyable for us. I think they had it right before. The new manager does seem legit and like he is trying new things, which I love. But it seems like it lost a bit of its quant neighborhood feel, which is what most people love about it, in favor of becoming a more traditional style restaurant. In my eyes, it just makes it take longer, be less efficient, more chaotic, and cost more money for the patron. But that is just my two cents. I'll still come, but I definitely see myself coming much less than before, unfortunately. read more

Locally owned, operated, and managed. Sure do love coming to this place. I have a few go-to items when I've been here. Breakfast is the $9 eggs, bacon, potatoes, with fruit. Great sourdough bread. Lunch the oven baked pizzas are great I usually do pepperoni. Cost is $12 Dinner I've enjoyed their salad with vinegar and I add chicken to it which is around $15. Also, when we've needed eggs, lettuce, or onions, they've been more than willing to sell via their market. Happy they are here to support local. read more

Nice little restaurant on top of Suncrest. My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day. We were seated by the man playing music and was a little nervous at first but it actually was very pleasant and not too loud. We loved their starter bread, it was delicious with oil and vinegar. I ordered the meatball sandwich and it was nothing special. I personally think it needed more sauce. The sweet potato fries were so good! I would definitely recommend ordering those! My husband ordered fettuccine alfredo with chicken and his words, "it was awful". He said it didn't really have a taste and needed more cream and spices. They gave us complimentary chocolate covered strawberries. And not to complain about free things...but they weren't good. The strawberries had an old and overripe taste to them. The waitstaff was very nice and attentive. The location is also very nice and pretty. I look forward to going in the Spring/Summer to sit outside! read more

Great atmosphere, which is nice because it takes a bit of time to get your order when it's busy. Not a problem...a nice place to sit and catch up with people. The view on the way up was amazingly stunning, especially in winter. The community where this cafe at is just pretty with all the snow and Christmas decorations. The cafe itself was adorable. Staff were friendly. Service was great. I've ordered the corned beef skillet hash and Traditional waffle. They were both pretty good, the only downside was that they've put too much oil in the corned beef, made the bottom part of the food really oily and heavy. The waffle was good, not too soft and not too hard, just how I like it. Their maple syrup was delicious, i wonder which brand they are using, or do they make it theirselves? Huh...gonna ask them next time. Overall, I really enjoyed my dining experience here. I would love to come back and try their lunch and dinner. read more

I can't believe it took us so long to try The Ridge! We made reservations to go on a Friday night with a huge group of us for my daughter's graduation celebration. We had requested outdoor seating, but about 30 minutes before our reservations, it started to rain. I called and asked if they could accommodate us inside instead of the patio and the hostess was very polite and helpful. They were able to adjust our reservations and we were seated as soon as we got there. The service was beyond excellent, the GM was very hands-on and showed great care and attention to detail, and the food was excellent. We got coffee and gelato after dinner and everything was perfect. We went back today for Sunday brunch and had the same amazing service and the food was even better today than Friday night. I highly recommend this place and we will probably end up going weekly! read more

I have to say that I went here because I had heard only great things, but the service was not good at all and the food was extremely over priced for what you receive. I think you're paying for the ambiance of it being tucked in the mountains. And it was rather quaint inside. But... I still had a quarter of my plate left with food and the waiter stood at the table and asked if he could have my credit card to pay off our bill and he hadn't even brought us the bill. He just wanted to run it through the electronic machine. We felt like he was trying to push us out. We weren't even done eating. We also still had some leftover food on another plate that we were still eating off of and he just took the plate away without asking. Sorry, but I don't think I'll be back. read more
