Here's my Rick's Cleaners story: I take a new Ralph Lauren pinpoint Oxford shirt there, and point out a spot where I had dribbled BBQ sauce on it. When I pick up the shirt the following day, the spot is still there, along with a tag indicating that the stain had been treated. So, I continue to wear the shirt, despite the prominent stain, and the next time I have it laundered, I take it to another cleaners, and don't mention the pre-existing spot, assuming that it's a lost cause. And, to my surprise, when I pick up this shirt, no more spot! What does this tell you about Rick's Cleaners? Factor in their lousy attitude (the sign that says "We don't replace buttons"), and their pay-before-we-clean policy, and you have a business that I will never patronize again.... read more

I've had a good experience at this location over the past year. What I like most about Rick's is the fair price for laundering shirts even without a dry cleaning item - there is no minimum required. Expect to pay cash or check when you drop off the clothes. Pick up will usually be two days from drop off. They don't use computers and don't take credit cards - perhaps it's how they keep costs down and can charge less. read more

My boyfriend takes our clothes here (more his because he has to wear a lot more dry cleaning only clothes than me). The price and speed are right but the service is not great. They don't tend to get special instructions right (crease no crease etc.) but there seems to be a lot of new staff so maybe it'll turn around. If you have special instructions make sure you watch them write it and attach it to the correct item before you leave. We would go somewhere else but it seems to be the best we can find. read more

For the price, Rick's can't be beat. I've never had any problems with lost clothes or buttons or the like. And they manage to get most of my bad stains out. It would be nice to have a faster turn around time but I guess you get what you pay for... And they take credit cards now. read more

I hate writing negative reviews but these Ricks Cleaners are really asking for it Long story short, they've ruined white garments about $250 in a single shot. While they were initially pure white after pick up thye have come out very off white. Probable they have washed them all together with blacks.... what morons can do that? Subsequent tries to get them white have failed. Moreover last time I wanted to get them back they had oil spill on them likely from their tracks which moves hangers. I was told that a manager will call me on Monday...., that did not happen but when we clled the laundry office they said the manager s out for vacation. I think they are members of the BBB, and I think I will report them I would not trust these guys not even to wash my black socks (what if they'll mix them with the white ones???? ) ;) read more

Updated Review: workers have been much more polite lately and seem to care more about their customers. Been a pleasant last couple months. Starting to get tired of the rude workers here. I brought in coupons my last two visits and neither were applied. It's not the end of the world but when I brought it to one of the workers attention she started to blame me for misunderstanding her. When I dropped off my clothes earlier this week I said please don't forget to apply the coupon. She said I "I got you Mr. C." I said ok last time you guys didn't and i just want to make sure it's applied. I said thanks and went on my way. When I went to pick up today no coupon was applied to the $2.99 per dry clean item. Instead of owning her mistake she went and blamed me for not understanding her. I completely understood her. She just doesn't listen to customers and own up to her errors. I requested my receipt up fronI spend about $75-$100 a month in dry cleaning and laundry here. You would think she would have just stepped up and owned the mistake. Maybe even offered to comp one dry cleaning. But no, she stood there just shaking her head and got frustrated when all she had to do was say sorry and find a way to make up for it. She said she couldn't apply the coupon because I had already paid for it. I'm really considering going back to my old cleaners and paying more out of principal. read more

So I decided to give Rick's another try, but instead of sending half my wardrobe I opted to send a single dress shirt. Same old story, employees look miserable working there and the shirt came back with not one crease, but multiple creases. The only thing they did right was returning it on time. My mistake was asking for "creases", I suppose next time I need to specify how many creases I want otherwise they turn it into a Goodwill throw-away. It makes me look like a bafoon walking around in a $75 shirt with several creases. C'mon people, if there's an existing crease line, use it..... this wreaks LAZINESS all over it!!!!! I used Ricks for almost two years and didn't experience any issues, that changed once they began losing clothing items on a regular basis. I was quite disappointed since its close to my house and convenient. As I noticed missing items I researched and was short six dress shirts, a pair of slacks that went with a nice suit and another pair of slacks. I wasn't checking the receipts as I felt that I trusted them, so word of advice: bring your receipt and check every order. I asked the lady at the desk about the issue and gave her a detailed description of the clothes. This was a waste as she was no help. I hope they get a more attentive staff, as it is a convenient location and their work used to be top notch. read more

I've been using other Rick's Cleaners for years and have been satisfied with the service and my experience. This location is certainly not the best one I've been to. Service is slow and often harried in the store, although the cleaning turn around is quick like other locations. Like other reviewers, I've had problems with this location ruining an expensive dress, but in the end they did fix it. The former manager needed a crash course in customer service, but the new manager seems pretty on the ball. I hope this location turns it around! They stained my shirt and THEN put holes in it --DON"t send anything you really like to Rick's I have known for a long time that Rick's is cheap but not careful with clothes, and don't use them for anything really special, expensive, or delicate. I recently forgot that rule and gave them something expensive I liked a lot, and because of that, I checked it carefully before handing it over. It came BACK with bloodstains on the sleeve (ick) and when they treated those stains the chemical put holes in the garment. Don't use Rick's Cleaners. My dress' fabric was damaged while being cleaned at Rick's Cleaners. Rick's employee explained the possibility of damage only to the beading of my dress, not the fabric. My dress cost over $400. When picking up the dress, I found the fabric in front of my dress was damaged with 4 snags or tears in the front of the fabric. This damage to the cloth is not fixable. Also, the hem came loose. Their employee misinformed me of their service. She did not explain the potential for damage to the fabric or hem; she only mentioned the beading, which was still in good shape after cleaning. The supervisor, Barbara Humphreys, made no offer to remedy to the situation. She did not even try to make a good faith effort to resolve the issue. She was extremely rude to me. Later, I sent a registered letter to the owner, Rick Noble, requesting a response by 2/1/12. No personal response was received. I filed with BBB. Someone responded, but they offered nothing. No resolution. Next is small claims. Rick's employees are misinformed about the services they provide to their customers. This business didn't even try to make amends. Just a basically a F you. Not even a free dry cleaning coupon. I will never use Rick's cleaners again. read more

This place is horrible!!!! I have taken shirts there and it looks like they just ironed them as I can still see the wrinkles on the back from the last time I wore it. I have complained to management and got some complimentary coupons but what I want is my dry cleaning done right! Pay more and go to Jack Brown, if I could give them no stars I would. read more

Consistently, the most negative people working in Texas. I can't review the cleaning at this location, because the first time I visited, I was so stunned at the completely lousy behavior of the staff, that I forgot about the quality of the cleaning. It was probably fine. After receiving blank stares, frowns, sighs, and annoyed expressions that anyone would dare to walk through the door, I swore I would never go back. Five years later, my friendly dry cleaners more north on Jollyville closed. So I figure I'll try again today. Maybe they got new people. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. No such luck. Same glares. Same angry faces. I turned right around. A one-minute drive to Randall's and it's a different world of helpful, friendly staff. I may be paying a little more, but it's worth it not to have an entire day (and maybe my clothes) ruined being around people who clearly want nothing to do with working with customers or cleaning clothing. read more

Absolutely horrible service. I dropped my clothes off on June 30th and was told they would be ready the following day. Upon return I was given half of my clothes back and was told to come back the following day for the other 4 blouses. When I returned they still could not be found. I was told the manager would be notified right away. I returned again and spoke to the manager who was short and unapologetic about their screw up. 10 DAYS later and I have had to call every single day because no one (not the store, not even corporate) had the decency to pick up the phone and call me back like they promised to, every single day. 4 shirts lost and I now have to make a 5th trip up to the store to file a claim that will then take a week to process. Worst service ever. Not worth the price when you 're losing clothes. read more

WORST customer service in town!!!! They promised my dress to be ready in 5 days and I had to deal with inefficient attendants and a poor customer service for a month until I finally got my dress back. On top of that whenever the customer is complaining about something they really act like they are not even listening and do not make any effort WHATSOEVER to solve the problem. I asked them to refund my money and guess what they said: NO. I am trying to use all my resources to give them the worst publicity they ever had. read more

Absolutely apalling! Rick's Cleaners first ripped the sleeve off a very expensive designer blouse. They returned the blouse and separated sleeve in with the rest of the cleaning without the curtesy of making me aware of it. Then when I reported the loss, they only compensated me 75% of the original cost. Adding insult to injury, they offered me coupons for my next visit. I started taking in my husbands shirt about once a week or two to Rick's and have had nothing but friendly customer service and ease (which is refreshing) . On avg I'll bring in 10-20 pieces, mostly golf shirts and blazers, and it's always done on time the next day. Sometimes I'll come in before 5 ("done after 5pm" policy), but the manager there will greet me by name and get me out the door and on my way. Taking clothes to the cleaners can be an unnecessary expense, but 20 pieces runs be $38 ! wont find that anywhere else. Very happy customer! read more

With all the choices in laundry services, I always choose Rick's simply for their efficiency, customer service, and best prices in town. The convenience of multiple locations is helpful since I'm always on the go for work. Jollyville is the one I use most often but I have dropped off laundry at quite a few other locations and am always just as pleased with the service I receive. Thank you Rick's!!! read more

Rick's Cleaners in Cedar Park RUINED my $128.00 BCBG dress, and take no responsibility for it. Actually, the clerk, store manager, and general manager will all very RUDE. My dress went in bright white, and come out pinkish beige. I wish I had read other similar reviews before taking my dress there. Hard lesson learned. You get what you pay for. First off, the young lady working the front counter Sarah was really rude to me. I walked in and she was on the phone, which it looked like a business phone so I patiently waited for her to get off the phone. She rudely looks at me and ask for my tickets , as if I was a bother to her. Then , she grabs my tickets to go look for my clothes , comes back and is still on the phone , which I come to find out it's what a friend because she's gossiping. She states,"yeah I know I'm still pissed about all that." And was completely ignoring me. She rings up my tickets to give me my total, and gives me the ugliest look and says ," we don't take discover." And I said ok well I might have to go back to my house to get another card. Assuming she was going to finish her sentence and tell me what other method of payments they don't except. So I went ahead and asked myself , considering I've done nothing but customer service my whole life , I know the things to ask to make a customer happy. She then responds and says, "MasterCard either". Thankfully I had cash in my wallet, but her attitude needs to change. I'm sorry you hate your job, but don't take it out on paying customers. I took an expensive shower curtain in to Rick's to have dry cleaned as per the care instructions. I was charged $20, and when I got the shower curtain back the decorative tassel on one end was missing. I called to report the problem on 12/12/13, and was told they would check with the shop and call me back. On 12/26/13, I called Rick's again since I had not been called back. I was told no tassel had been found. When I asked what they were going to do about it, I was told she would have to check and call me back. I have gotten no return call, no apology, no refund of the cleaning charge, etc. The 8item was in perfect condition when it went in, and ruined when it came out, and I was out $20. The cleaners should document when an item goes in if it is missing parts or damaged. Then if it comes out damaged they should be responsible for what they have done. BEWARE!!!! Just took my never been worn dress to get dry cleaned. When I bought it, it had some deodorant marks on it, so I decided to get it dry cleaned. No one told me when I dropped it off, the jewels on the front may come off during dry cleaning. I would of just gotten it pressed then. When I picked it up, the jewels had all come off, and the best part is,the manager just said it's at your own risk to get clothes dry cleaned. She pointed to the wall where it says that. She wouldn't give me the $3.09 back for the dry cleaning, since she said it was dry cleaned.Duh...that's why we're here. No help to reimburse me the cost to get the dress fixed, nothing. She never even said sorry, or anything. No customer service!!!!! Crazy, I guess owning a business means you can do whatever you want and treat customers like crap. If it wasn't for us, there would be no business. I told her she just lost a customer and I would Yelp them. The older shorter manger didn't bat a lash. I sure hope the owner knows she is running business off. I will tell everyone about it. Plenty of other cleaners to patronize around here. So sad......... read more
