Moved to Wells Branch 9 years ago, and have used Tower the entire time. I'm not going to pretend I'm a big spender, I'm not. However I've always been happy with their work and turn around time the 4 or 5 times a year we stop in. However I pulled up this morning to see this sign on the door. The owner is blaming his lack of staff on $600 stimulus checks from over 2 years ago. I haven't met anyone still living off that money, especially in a high cost of living area like Austin! Hey Tower Cleaners, offer a living wage and you'll probably have staff! Anyway, thanks for posting the giant red flag on your door. I didn't even get out of my car. Instead, I took my husbands shirts to a cleaners who doesn't expect people to starve while making them money. read more

Default hearing judgement against these clowns. Judge seemed to think the suit was bleached as I had the suit still in the plastic at the time of the hearing. I read how they ruined other people's clothing but they just chalked it up as a loss. Not me! Had them served by the Constables but they were no-shows for court. I hate that I have to wait 21 days because I've already got an attorney to collect the judgement. BBB will also hear from me and I'll also see what else I can do to alert others to avoid these thugs. read more

Update 07/29: the owner reached out and was initially very nice and refunded my order. Doesn't change the cat pee smell on my order. The owner tried to clean them again and they got a bit better but still smell. The owner admitted that this happens randomly on orders and they were sorry it happened to mine. I have proof of this through text. The owner wanted to keep my pants for a few days so a Hugo Boss rep can come check them out. I had to reach out to ask when I can come back and get them and the owner told me to pick them up and that the rep + 7 others couldn't smell anything on my pants. So now I'm a liar when it is such a very noticeable cat pee/old person house smell, and the owner admitted through text that this happens here and there and they weren't properly dried. But now, magically, there was never an issue....??? Very very unprofessional. Steer clear! Edit2 07/29: You can witness the very unprofessional claims from the owner in their response. I just wanted free cleaning???? What a joke?!? Oh goodie! You refunded me a whopping $28 dollars after ruining $520 worth of my Hugo boss pants. But I'm so glad I got my free cleaning! Hysterical!! Tower Cleaners in my honest opinion is hands down my go to dry cleaners. Their staff is on point and professional, this isn't your typical dry cleaners. It's seriously a major operation and they take their business and the processing of your clothes very seriously. When you can drop off after 4pm and pick up the next day at 4pm that's huge. These guys dry clean University of Texas uniforms that says a lot. You can tell right when you walk in you're doing business with a heavy hitter, and the best part is they're not a chain, they're a local business. My office recently relocated from downtown to north Austin, I could careless about the move, however, I had been using a dry cleaner for years right by my office. I started going there because it was very convenient, not because it was great but they did a decent job. I lost some buttons along the way and had cracked shirt buttons, also double pant presses which were annoying. But I scarified quality for convenience, bad move on my part I will admit. Everyone who regularly uses a dry cleaners knows that having a specific one that they use all the time is personal, at least for me it is. You develop a relationship with them, I mean you're there 2-3 days a week, you're dropping off hundreds of dollars in dress clothes you want to know that they're in good hands. We began using Tower Cleaners a month or two ago after the dry cleaner we've been using for the past twenty or so years began returning an inferior product and damaged garments. Tower consistently returns a quality product, complete with great return presentation. The folks at the front counter are friendly, efficient, and provide us with excellent customer service every time we go in. The clothes were returned to me with discoloration in three garments and two garments were ripped. I have sent everything from comforters, my wedding dress, clothing, and clothing items that I needed for alteration and this business has not let me down once. They are affordable, professional, and consistent. If you need any item rushed they will take care of you and not break your bank. I have never used a more reliable dry cleaner in my life! This is a great little dry-cleaner . All of the services are done on-site, so as long as I have my stuff there before 10 it's ready by 4. You can't ask for much more than that . I have been there during the morning rush and service is a bit slow. Being that I only get stuff laundered once in a while I'm cool with it. read more

I very rarely use dry cleaners because of the envionmental damage and cost of this service. This dry cleaners was close to where I live, so I thought I'd try their service. While they did a good job on my items, the customer service was entirely missing. I was the only customer at drop-off and pick-up times and the clerk wasn't at all engaging. I dropped off some things to dry clean. These came back in good shape. I also left a silk vintage skirt for repair of a rip. They put a giant black heavy fabric patch on the skirt with heavy black stitching around it. It basically ruined the skirt. I asked to talk to the manager and they said s/he is not around. No offers to help or suggestions to work something out. So disappointed. read more

I chose Tower Cleaners because of the amazing reviews. I had two dresses that are being worn in my wedding, and I wanted to make sure both of them were taken well care of. Well I was wrong...I would give them zero stars if I could. One dress was silver with sequins and bead work. It's a $200 gown that was purchased at a boutique store. I go to pick up the dress, and it was completely ruined. All sequins and bead work were missing. All that was left was a dull silver dress. When I dropped the dress off with them, I told them it said "hand wash only" on the tag. However, the girl who took all of my items from me insisted that everything needed to be dry cleaned. Then when I picked up the ruined dress, they started telling me it was hand washed after all. Seems VERY fishy to me. I couldn't be more upset and furious. They kept telling me "at least you still have a few months left until the wedding". That is NOT an acceptable excuse. If there are any precious items that you would be SOL without, DO NOT take it here! read more

Wow! Only place near north Austin that does same day service ... & what an awesome service they provide! The first time I went I was needing dry cleaning done the same day so we could leave for a funeral. I was pretty stressed out, but they did their work well, on time, & with such a great attitude! The second time I came to pick up our clothes, I mentioned to the gentleman delivering my clothes that we would have to lay the clothes in the front seat ... that we couldn't open the side doors on our van because of problems with the rollers. The man actually listened to what I was saying & thought of a way he could help me. He came back with silicone spray .... bada-bing, he fixed both of my doors!! Now THAT'S service! Will definitely be back. Clothes in by 9:00A will be ready by 4:00P SAME DAY! Hopefully they'll start a customer discount program of some kind. read more

I have had a few clothes dry cleaned here with no problems. The biggest thing that I use them for is sewing up holes and patching blue jeans. I know holes are in now but I am talking about holes in places you don't want them. Good place, give them a try read more

Tower Cleaners, 1625 Wells Branch Pkwy, Austin, TX 78728 This cleaners is the WORST! I took a new dress there and they melted my zipper. I took the dress back to Tower Cleaners twice before they reluctantly agreed to fix it with a replacement zipper. I left other items with them to dry clean. Tower Cleaners did not replace the dress zipper. One off-white dress jacket was cleaned with something black and it was returned to me with black fibers all over it. Tower Cleaners agreed to re-clean the off-white dress jacket. When I got home I started inspecting the remainder of the clothes. That is when I learned of the dress, one intricately made sweater was returned and missing EVERY stone that had been on it. What bothered me so much was the fact that they hid what they had done. I have had misfortunes at other cleaners; however, the cleaners immediately informed me when I had returned for my clothing; was truly apologetic, and made the necessary reparation. Tower Cleaners also pinned together and hung two pair of pants; a pair of off-white with a pair of navy blue pants. As the pants were hung while warm; the fibers from the navy pants were rubbing into my off-white pants. I will NEVER GO BACK. If you value your clothing, you may want to think twice. This is truly unfortunate; there was a time that I could trust Tower Cleaners. read more
