DO NOT USE THIS DRY CLEANER. Ruined and shrunk over $1500 in suits and blazers of mine, one brand new and had only been worn once. Even their own in store employees agreed it was shrunk and looked awful. Management gave me the run around for 3 weeks having me drop off, then pick up then drop off again the items swearing they'd make it right, only for their "in house tailor" to say the items didn't seem shrunk. Been coming here 3+ years and then this happens. Do not use this dry cleaner as they're dishonest, will ruin your expensive items and then promise you customer service and give you the run around before finally admitting they won't help you. Look at the other reviews for locations and you'll see similar stories. Unfortunately this dry cleaning chain is dishonest, will ruin expensive items you trusted them with and then tell you they can't help. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company entirely--they're hopelessly unreliable and not worth the headache. In September, I dropped off a $600 leather bag for biohazard cleaning. They estimated 6-8 weeks and assured me it would be ready on time. They never once called, texted, or emailed with an update. Every time I've followed up, I've been given vague excuses: "no updates available," "it's taking longer than expected," or some other stall tactic. Four months later--now the end of December--I still don't have my bag, and no one can give a clear explanation for the delay. Plant managers Kimberly and Nikki won't even take calls to provide a proper status update. This level of disorganization and lack of communication is unacceptable. If you value your time and your belongings, take them anywhere else. Any other dry cleaner in town will do a better job than Eco Clean. read more

I used this company in the past and they did a good job. I made the mistake of bringing a vintage quilt to them. A few days later, they said it was not ready due to stains they were still trying to get out and so they were giving it a 2nd cleaning. I went to pick it up and the clerk said "did anyone call you about it" no I said. I took it home, in the bag it felt about 30% lighter. Fuzz was flying off of it when I opened the bag in the store to take a peek. So they knew they damaged it, but no one had the decency to call and tell me. I took it completely out of the cleaning bag today and it is wrecked! I cannot believe that after the cleaning tech started cleaning that they did not stop and return it to me and not proceed any further. You can see that all the cleaning they did ripped the slight weak tears into giant tears and the feathers in some sections are 100% gone! That is why there was "fuzz", it was the missing feathers coming out of the bag. This quilt belonged to my grandparents. DO NOT TAKE PRECIOUS ITEMS TO THEM! They did not charge me for the "cleaning" I will be seeking a payment for the damage they did to it. read more

We've gone here for almost ten years and never had problems. This last month we had a dress completely ruined, a very expensive custom suit shrunk and my husband's tuxedo shirt damaged. The managers were responding at first about cleaning it a second time. After the second cleaning it made the dress worse. They asked to bring it for review and are now ignoring us. Employees keep giving them notes to call or email us back. They haven't returned our clothes or responded to our emails or calls. We've loved this cleaners for a long time but sadly won't be bringing our items back here. Definitely wouldn't recommend bringing pricier items here. read more

Unfortunately I trusted this company to clean a very expensive dress used for work. When I picked it up, several of the sequins pieces were gone. In addition, the targeted places they cleaned changed the color of the dress. It was ruined and they returned it like nothing was wrong. I did not pay for the cleaning but got in touch with the manager who eventually promised to buy a new one. Jeff was or is the manager and he told us he bought a new one and he would let us know when it came in. After some time, tried getting in touch again and he still said it was coming but hadn't been delivered yet. Do NOT let Annette at West Anderson do your dropoff. Seriously, come back later or go to another location. She called me an hour after I had dropped off a big order to let me know that she had mixed my items with someone else's, and she asked me which were mine. A few days later when I returned, she was there and gave me half of my original items and three items that belonged to someone else. She proceeded to get flustered and nasty, and called a manager who was unable to help that day. Smash cut to two weeks later, and my missing items have been delivered after six subsequent phone calls. I will say, the cleaning quality is great and they did offer me some compensation, but it's really not worth the hassle. read more

He didn't apologize nor did he acknowledge the fact that I never heard back from him, etc. He did say that he will refund the amount we paid for the dry cleaning and asked me to send him an invoice for the cover saying he's working on some kind of rebate program with the company? The company told me they didn't know what program he was talking about when I reached out to them. I did this 12/20. Never heard from him again and it is 2/2/23 now. I emailed and called. He never refunded what we paid so we went though our bank and never got a penny from him for the price of the new cover we had to replace. I didn't think he situation could get worse but when someone doesn't acknowledge, doesn't apologize, ignores your emails and calls, and lies about refunding and compensating you, that tells me everything about a person's character and the type of business they are running. Save your things, time, and money and avoid this place at all cost. Read other reviews on Yelp of how they damaged other customers' clothing and never compensated them. read more

I dropped off a new comforter after acquiring an unfortunate pet stain. The drop off process was simple and the lady up front was very helpful. She broke down the two services I was between and helped me decide what was best for my situation, I left happy. She told me it would be a few days to be ready which was fine. Upon picking up my order, I was definitely satisfied with the product. The faint stain and strong smell were gone. However the price was about $10 more than what I was quoted a few days prior, which is the reason for a deducted star. I wasn't going to argue over it so I just paid and left, it just was a little disappointing. Overall I'd recommend them, they offer cleaning without all the chemicals which I think is very appealing. Hopefully I won't run into another charge discrepancy, that would be the only thing keeping me from coming back a third time. read more

This is for the Anderson location: By far, the worst dry cleaners I have ever been to. First, the dark-haired lady I drop off with quotes me about $10 per sweater with a $6 upcharge for cat hair. Cat hair. That takes nothing to take it off. What do I pay? About $17-18 PER sweater. Second, I specifically tell the lady to be careful with the buttons on my sweater, and she agrees. What do I find? A button loose from its stitching when it wasn't loose before, extra diamonds missing, and another button damaged in the center. Third, my other sweater was stretched out in places and has a dime-sized hole in the back. HOLE. A hole that no other dry cleaner has ever done before, and I've had this sweater dry cleaned many times before. This place is a SHAM. STAY AWAY. I had such high hopes of finding a good eco-friendly dry cleaner. I'm so disappointed. STAY AWAY. Listen to all the other negative reviews and stay away. They must have had their own people vote for the Best of Austin awards because I see no way that this place can win an award like that without rigging it. read more

I came here because they use better cleaners than most dry cleaners. I would have given a 5-star review as they are always courteous and the standard 2-day turnaround works well. But this last time I asked for 2 of my 5 shirts to just be pressed, not cleaned. The guy behind the counter didn't really say much just took the order. I'm not a dry cleaning expert and maybe this is normal everywhere but it's $4 per shirt for dry cleaning - and obviously it gets pressed after - but $8.55 for JUST pressing. Finally a dry cleaner with a conscious. I haven't had much luck with dry cleaners, but since I've been going to EcoClean I haven't had a problem. I have several garments that are made with delicate fabric and the harsh chemicals of a dry cleaner can leave residue on such delicate fabric. That is another reason why I love EcoClean; I have not found any residue on my clothing. The bonus, they are able to get the collar on my husband's dress and work shirts cleaned and for that reason, I thank EcoClean! Keep up the good clean work guys! read more

Well, I am going to have change my rating yet again. When I tried on my jacket in the store after they tried to unshrink it, it fit fine. 3 weeks later, it has shrunk again to be unwearable. As someone who is short on time and suffers from pretty bad chemical sensitivties which regular dry-cleaning methods aggravate, Eco Clean's pick up and delivery service is so convenient and their Perc-free cleaning formulas are literally an answer to my prayers! Update! After owner's response, I decided to give them another shot and wasn't disappointed. I brought back a few shirts and my wife's blouse to the Anderson location. I got some steak juice on my shirt from the Ruth's Chris event and pointed these out. EcoClean did a great job getting them out. I actually needed the clothes the next day - faster than the 2 day turnaround. So I asked if I could just pick them up from the Guadalupe location. I'll admit - I was legitimately worried because of the complicated logistical gymnastics involved. But I was pleasantly surprised when I showed up at the Guad location and my clothes were ready for me. Thanks guys! read more

I strongly advise against using this place for your garments , they will be ruined! And they will not accept responsibility. I took four pieces, one of them I clearly said "its very important to me and please be careful with it". I also asked: " Will you reimburse me if you ruin something ? " and the person in the counter said yes. A week later a received a call saying that one of the pieces was stained, then they said they'll take it back and remove it and they did. I went to pick up all of my pieces and found out the one I asked them to take care the most had bleeding. I called, they told me to take it back. I did , then they called me and said they wasn't their fault that it was mine. My expertise happens to be in textiles and I told them it wasn't , they said they could send it to an specialized lab and that if they find out it was my fault I will have to pay $35. They never called me again, a month and a half went by, I reached out and they said that I needed a receipt. This was a Tory Burch $300 sweater that I obviously didn't have the receipt for any more but you can still see the piece in some websites , for around $200 second hand and similar new one for $300. They said they will only give me $77 which is not even half of what I paid. I picked up my piece and now it has bleeding all over it and is completely ruined. This place should not be in business and specially not advertise themselves as an alternative to dry cleaning. read more

My first time ever using EcoClean, I brought in a $200 Anthropologie sweater with a belt that I had never taken to the cleaners before, plus two placemats. The employee who took my order took at least 15 minutes to get me out the door, including taking a call from another customer while I was there (she asked "can you hold please?" but then whoever was on the phone said "oh I just have a quick question" and of course it was not quick). I was told the pick-up date and came back then for my items. On the day I came in, the same employee took another 15 minutes searching for my correct order/items and seemed very confused. I was eventually brought my sweater but without the belt, which was now missing. She claimed that she separately bagged and tagged it, so it should be able to be found. Also the placemats would not be ready until the next day, because household items take longer--a fact she did not tell me when I dropped them off initially. When I came back in to pick up the placemats, they still hadn't found my belt. I spent the next 5 weeks calling them and going into the store trying to understand what the heck happened to my sweater belt, repeatedly being told I would be called and then not being called; being told that belts sometimes get separated and that's why it was lost--then when I reminded them that it had been separately bagged & tagged, they backed off that claim; basically being given the complete run-around the entire time. At no time in this process was I ever offered a refund or a discount on the orders I had come in with initially. Eventually they said the belt is lost--and mind you this is a $200 Anthro sweater with no other closure (no buttons or snaps) so without the belt, it's just hanging open. My options were to get free credits for cleaning (heck no, I am NEVER coming back), a "fair price" for them to buy the sweater off me which would have been a fraction of what it is actually worth, or a "replacement" for the belt which seemed dubious. Eventually I asked simply to be refunded the price of my items that I initially paid. Then I was asked for my credit card number to issue the refund, which I sent. Weeks later I was told actually they also needed the expiration date to process the refund. I STILL have not received the refund even though it's now over two months since I first walked into EcoClean. To top it all off, the sweater itself is now itchy instead of soft, like I brought it in (it's wool). I wish I had never gone there and I will certainly NEVER go back! My clothes never feel clean in the armpit area when returned. Like most women who wear business clothes in 100 degree summer weather, that area concerns me and the extra charge for this request is not worth it. Additionally, this company transitioned to home delivery due to COVID and their delivery guy showed up unscheduled and unexpected at my house. He left clothes on front patio and when I returned to patio and noticed clothes- I also noticed my cell phone was taken. Phone showed up in manor area shortly after. Police report was filed. Naturally during coronavirus- many are working from home and home visitors are not happening. Only 1 person could have seen the phone on the patio and was on my patio during that short time frame. Store management handling was less than satisfactory. Subpar cleaning techniques and now a stolen phone- never again. read more

They carefully tag items needing extra attention and always have our items ready on the day promised or will call if something is (rarely) going to take more time. I have to wear white shirts to work and past cleaners left the collars dingy and over time ruined the fabrics. EcoClean always takes extra time to get the shirts their whitest and whatever chemicals they are using have been gentle on the fabric. Best cleaners I have ever used. I just got off the phone with a female representative at the west Anderson lane location. Let's say she didn't make the best impression. I'm getting married in a week and I have some wrinkles on my wedding dress. The train is also a little dusty from having tried it on a few times. I called to get a quote for this and explained what I needed. I was immediately told "I'll need to ask my manager...I don't think we can do a cleaning that fast...it normally takes two weeks and is done after the wedding" ok.....a little quick and dismissive. . I didn't realize they couldn't steam out wrinkles in a wedding dress. I didn't realize this is a two week process. The representative calls me back a few minutes later, "ya, it would take two weeks. We normally clean wedding dresses after the ceremony, so good luck" GOOD LUCK. The dismissive tone said everything I need to know about how this place does business. I am so over and so done with EcoClean. Never again. The one item they did clean for me came out very well. However, the other three times I have taken wool garments clearly labeled "Dry Clean Only" to them they have called me to insist that I agree to a waiver saying that if something like shrinkage or color change happens to the item during cleaning they would not be responsible. If you are supposed to be a professional dry cleaner, at least use a process that will work on items marked "dry clean"and have enough confidence in your process to take responsibility for the outcome. If you have a concern about an item, take the time to run all the standard spot tests that other regular dry cleaners do before deciding that you just don't want to be responsible. (I will note that even when you want to disclaim responsibility you are certainly willing to take my money- at a higher rate than a regular cleaners do.) I say never again, Why should I waste my time dropping things off only to have them call two days later to ask me for a waiver. Why would I agree to that, when dry cleaning is supposed to be their specialty, and the wool items were clearly labeled "Dry Clean Only". I do not believe it is a reasonable request to ask of customers if dry cleaning is supposed to be your business. I then just have to waste more time by going back to pick the items which have not been cleaned and take them to someone else who can provide the service. I don't have that many items which require dry cleaning often, but it's back to a standard dry cleaning company to me...Bring on the real cleaning chemicals!! read more

I have not been a big fan of dry cleaning in the past - but I decided to give EcoClean a try because if its eco-friendly process. After several great results at different locations, I knew I had found my place. Then one day, I brought in one of my favorite silk tops by DVF and when I got it back, it was worse than when I dropped it off. The hem was undone and there were black stains on top of the stains I had brought in to be removed. It was a bright coral top and the color looked dull. My heart sank a bit, but I decided to leave the top and wait for the manager to call me about it. I really thought it was doomed. Then Kerstin called me and told me she would personally look into the situation. Over the next several weeks, she handled the situation and my garment with care...she had looked into the process of what could have caused the situation, and without spending too much time there, her focus was on making this a better outcome for me. She had my silk top re-hemmed and dry cleaned. She kept in contact with me every step of the way so I didn't have to keep calling and asking for a status update. The result...was amazing. I had no idea my silk top could look as good as it did. I was relieved and so grateful for the time and care that Kerstin put into my garment and my experience!! Thank you so much!!! read more

I go to EcoClean because whatever process they use leaves clothes feeling softer than any dry cleaner I've been to. And, allegedly, that process is more environmentally-friendly. My problem with EcoClean is that the amount of packaging they using is anything but eco-friendly. I recently brought two sweaters there. Each sweater was returned on a separate low-quality hanger (I hate these and always discard them), and each was stuffed with what I suppose is anti-cling paper (recyclable). One sweater had a piece of paper (recyclable) attached to it that said "pre-spot," affixed by a pin (I'll re-use that). A large paper receipt (recyclable) was also attached to one sweater. And both hangers were wrapped in an oversized bag of plastic (pointless). My suggestion to management is that they give customers choices, e.g., Do you want a paper receipt? Do you want these on hangers? Do you want a giant plastic bag? Only if EcoClean implements something like can they legitimately boast about how eco-friendly they are. read more
