When I picked up my dress there was a huge snag down the center of my silk dress. They are claiming it "wasn't from them". Do not go here. They were awful to work with. He originally had told me $20 to sew in the new buttons or put on new buttons but when I arrive to the shop, he told me that if I wanted new buttons, it would be $20 extra on top of the $20 making it $40 just to sew some buttons outrageous wasting peoples time keep in mind. I had an awful experience here. I showed up last Thursday 30 minutes before their listed closing time to pick up my dress before a flight for a wedding -- but the shop was already closed and no one was there. When I spoke to them later, they showed no remorse or understanding and simply said they had "changed their hours" and posted a piece of paper on the door. That's not helpful for customers who rely on the hours listed online. Because of this, I wasn't able to get the dress in time for the wedding. I found this shop via Yelp. I was very pleased with the initial work done by this shop. I had wanted newly purchased shorts to have angled pockets. Since it's hard to show the change, I have pictures with the original straight line pocket edge and then the altered, angled pocket. I was so happy with the first job that I ordered more shorts online and went back for a second alteration. When I showed up, his door was locked but he would answer the phone number listed on the door. He apologized and said his work was full and asked if I could come back the next week. I had no problem with this since he is a one-man shop and if he had accepted my new work, then he probably couldn't have lived up to his estimate of completion date. Gotta respect that the man won't take on more than he can deliver (on time). Went back the next week and he accepted my new job. And when I went back to pick them up, he had moved next door to a bigger place. When fall comes around, I'm going to go back to him to have a phone pocket put inside one of my favorite jackets. They were quickly responsive and asked me to come in for a free consultation for my bridesmaid dress that was sized too small- the back zipper that would only zip halfway up. Mukhtar was professional and efficient, and described exactly his plan for the alteration. He worked well within my timeframe and we negotiated a fair price. I can't recommend AMS highly enough. I came in a couple of weeks before my wedding needing adjustments to my sherwani. In addition to doing a fantastic job on the alterations, AMS came up with a plan for me to try on the garment with enough time to make any final adjustments prior to the wedding day.
