To say that I've had a lot of experience with RG, let me explain that within the span of seven months, I called on them to put some of my possessions in storage while renovations were being made on my house, again when my college graduate moved to a new home, once more when said grad moved back home, another time to have more personal belongings put in storage, and finally to move everything back home. The scheduler, Joanne, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was unfailingly upbeat, polite, and understanding when the renovation projects seemed to drag on endlessly, and her understanding helped keep me focused on the job at hand. I didn't have to worry about my "things" because she instilled confidence in me that they'd be well taken care of -- and they were. The actual movers were also very polite and energetic. The crew chief, Robert, had an expert's eye and good judgment when it came to planning the job, and he also let me know that the company will buy back any wardrobe boxes in good condition (a nice perk). The men had to move a piano in addition to the usual household items plus nearly 200 cartons of books (Bookworms R Us), fine china, and very old, paper-thin, fine crystal. Nothing was damaged. Robert and Joanne in the office were great at explaining the costs involved in the move as well and the insurance options. Stop looking for other movers and hire RG Quality Moving. I've moved a half a dozen times in recent years and this is by far my best experience. RG was recommended to me by the woman who was staging my house to sell, she uses them constantly, and what a great recommendation. RG has since done two moves for me, including a cross-country move. Instead of a shared truck, RG offered a dedicated truck so my goods were more secure and arrived sooner. They packed and loaded the truck on a Friday-Saturday and by Monday afternoon, they were unloading things 1,800 miles away. I did the easy packing, and RG packed TVs, pictures, lamps, and all the furniture. Everything arrived in perfect condition, even antique furniture and old crystal champagne flutes. Promised to unpack at the other end. Didn't unpack (which I paid for) and they stole many of my things - ALL of my padded hangers. This means they actually had to take my clothes OFF the padded hangers and hang them on wire hangers. So, on the other end I had to buy over $1000 worth of hangers - forget about the tea caddies, silverware, clothes, a yellow rug and other things I had to replace. Here's the worst of it: I was going to let all this go and just move on but six months AFTER I moved, they broke in and put bad knives in the kitchen and stole my beautiful new knives. That did it. I have had it. Loaded a camera and spy system and next time they break in? They're going to jail. You've been warned. read more

He has had many clients that have been overwhelmingly satisfied by the moving performance of the RG Quality Team. From the first phone call to Joanne, to the move inspection/estimate with Robert, through the actual move, to the final price/total cost, everything was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. I called RG Quality Moving & Storage and was greeted by Joanne. Joanne is an absolute pleasure to deal with. She is extremely sweet. You can tell that she is very organized and detail oriented. I needed to move all our household belongings from a townhouse and an apartment into a single family home. I needed to move on specific days and did not have a flexible schedule but RG Quality Moving did and was able to accommodate me easily. Joanne scheduled a date and time for Robert to come do a walk through of our two residences so I could get an estimate of what it would cost. We set a date and time and just a few days prior something came up at work. I called Joanne and they were flexible enough to change the walk through to meet my needs. The walk through was quick. Robert just needed to get an idea for how many guys would be needed and how long it would take them. Robert recommended four guys for the job at $150 per hour plus $150 for the rental/use of the moving truck and $150 worth of packing materials. Initially I wanted to move each residence on a separate day but Robert suggested I do both on the same day to save from the $150 daily truck usage fee. That was nice. He could have just said ok and gotten two days of charges out of me. $150 for moving/packing supplies was cheap. I have moved 20 times in my life, doing almost all the moves myself. I've spent way more then $150 on supplies for a lot less stuff then I had on this move. Because I wanted to keep the costs down as much as possible I told Robert I'd move most of the small items and just use his guys for the big stuff, so he figured it could all get done in 8 hours. Unfortunately the weekend before my move we had a death in the family which caused me not to be able to move all the stuff I told Robert I would. He understood my dilemma and his guys picked up my slack with no issues. On moving day, the movers and Robert showed up 30 mins early to prep everything they needed to start right on time at 8am. Let me just say this, these guys worked from 7:30am to 9:30pm only charging me 12 hours of work. They did NOT charge me for the half hour of prep and half hour of clean-up and they did NOT charge me for an hour lunch break which these guys maybe took a 30 minute lunch break at most. That was a great deal and really nice. I was shocked (in a great way) at the final cost. I was thoroughly impressed with the fours movers that Robert brought. These guys were freakishly strong and really kicked butt. They packed everything and wrapped all the furniture. They did not leave one mark in any of the residences. Not one item of ours was broken or damaged in any way. These guys were dealing with a three level townhouse, a second story apartment and a three story single family that had narrow door ways and a very narrow stairwell. They were extremely efficient and worked their butts off. These guys never broke. I offered to buy them lunch and buy them dinner but they respectfully declined both. We did give them water, Gatorade, soda (their request) and some snack bars. I can't stress enough what great guys these were. At the end of the night I was only able to give them $60 each as a tip since I only had $240 in cash. I wish I would have had more because I think based on the total cost of the move ($2,100) for the work they did they deserved at least $100 each. This was easily a $2,500 move and well worth it. I like to save as much money as I can but I am willingly to pay for good service and RG Quality Moving & Storage provided exceptional service. I saw that RG Quality Moving & Storage only had one other review on Yelp and it was extremely negative. As someone who goes to Yelp first before all others and relies on the reviews provided I was shocked to see such a negative review for a company that I feel no one else could have given better service. Even my wife who is very difficult to impress raved about how hard these guys worked and what a phenomenal job they did. Bottom Line: Joanne is a pleasure to work with, Robert is efficient and reliable and the movers work hard, never complain and do a great job. Joanne was wonderful to work with as she coordinated the move with us on email and phone (always available and excellent customer service). I met the owner who was with the team that day and they moved our furniture in and helped assemble it as well (included in the hourly cost vs. being an itemized service). The costs as very competitive. I had learned about them through our community FB page and they did not disappoint at all. They also had partnerships with other service providers as well to help if needed (in our case we had a broken glass frame from the previous movers so they referenced us to a contact who does framing). RG did a fantastic job in packing and moving all my things into storage last week. Robert (owner) was there the day before with one of his people to pack up most of everything. The guys were prompt and quick and packed up everything carefully. I was amazed how they got most everything loaded up so quickly the next day. They had a ramp from the truck to my door to avoid the front steps. My decision to go with RG was based both on the price point (very competitive) and their coordinator Joanne. Fantastic lady, who was able to understand my circumstance and help negotiate options to make it all work out. The Company employees were professional in every way: they covered the piano with moving padding, put rugs down on the floors in both houses to protect the floors and were gentle and careful in moving the piano. The employees were helpful in putting the piano in a good location. They were also pleasant and respectful. RG did my move a couple of weeks back and showed up ill prepared to move a 1 bedroom condo. They had a small hand dolly and took 4 1/2 hours to load up the truck. If it hadn't been for us helping load, if would've ended up being a 8-10 hour move. They knew we were on a tight moving schedule (which was just down the street) and showed up 40 minutes late. We only had 1 1/2 hours to unload before our cutoff and it took our assistance to make this happen. Make sure to get a flat cost and don't allow them to put you on a hourly rate. I voiced my concerns with the owner, but that didn't change anything. They still charged me 6+ hours when it was originally thought to be a 3-4 hour job. I won't be using them again. read more

RG did my move yesterday and it was as smooth a move as I've had despite the POURING rain and thunder. They backed the truck up as close as possible to my garage and took everything out through there to keep my items as dry as possible (of course they were all padded and wrapped anyway) Joanne is their coordinator and is on top of EVERY detail, seemingly around 24/7 to answer any questions bc emails / calls were answered quickly and efficiently. Another great thing about RG is that Robert, the owner, comes our himself to evaluate your needs and you get an estimate emailed within 24 hours. He was there again for the entire move. The crew was careful, very polite and respectful. Of special note was one crew member (he seemed to be the foreman) Walfredo - absolutely outstanding service on day of move. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! If I could give this company 0 stars, I would!! RG Moving company has done $5,000+ worth of damages in my new home. I recently purchased a home and the previous owner hired RG moving company. RG moving company put down plastic sheets on my carpet to protect the carpet as they are moving the furniture. The plastic also had strong adhesive on the back. As the new owner of the house, I went to pull the plastic off my carpet and it left a very sticky residue. I tried vacuuming it, Resolve, steam cleaning it with Stanley Steamer and nothing removed the stickiness. I even brought out a well-regarded carpet company to come to my home and give their opinion. They suggested that all I could do was wait and see if the stickiness goes away over time. Fast forward 8 months into the spring when more dirt is brought into the home, the carpet stickiness started collecting dirt that I can't vacuum or use Resolve to remove it. I emailed the owner of RG Moving company and he said since it was past the 5 day deadline to make any claims per the contract, he couldn't offer a resolution. As the new owner of the home, I never signed any contract. To replace the carpet would cost around $5-6k, but RG moving company refused to acknowledge any wrong doing of their part, despite pictures clearly showing that their company used the plastic on my home. The owner was extremely dismissive and unwilling to help me in any way. I am speaking to my lawyer about possibly starting a civil case against them to make them accountable for the damage they have done to my home. read more

Um...we already paid you almost $1000 for a seriously simple move that was estimated to be around $650. When we called to tell them the payment had already been processed last week we got a *text* message confirmation basically saying "my bad." What is wrong with these people. RG Quality Moving helped me move to my new home. I was debating on using a mover or just trying to move myself with friends and I ended up choosing RG Quality Moving & Storage and I don't regret it. What took a few hours would have taken probably weeks for me to plan to get friends to come and all that comes with moving. The movers even went as far as to ask me where I wanted my furniture like my couch. Not just the room but also what wall to place it on. It's little things like that that go a long way. RG was referred to us by one of our other service providers. Unfortunately we had a very very poor experience. We have NEVER given anyone a poor review before now. We were quoted a flat rate for packing & a flat rate for moving. The good things were: When you call the office, they are very pleasant & very good at closing the sale. They did bring two trucks & they did wrap all the furniture appropriately. Also, most of the guys spoke English, most were courteous & worked hard. The bad things were, the packing was not completed & boxes were not clearly marked or marked with a word we do not understand. Moving day was very chaotic & very unorganized. Items were going to storage & an office above the storage unit & items were going to a townhome but it got mixed up. They kept unloading items into townhouse that go to storage or placing furniture in the wrong rooms so it made everything take much longer & more stress. During all of this, my husband and I were also packing and moving items in addition to what they were paid to do which is even more exhausting. Plus the owner kept making very unprofessional remarks which added to the stress even more. We were left with items still not moved from the other house even though RG quoted a flat rate for moving everything vs an hourly rate. At the end of the night when we asked when the final items from the home would be moved & owner said it would be another $399 minimum after we had already been quoted $3300 for everything. We were also left with a king size mattress on our sons queen bed frame because they took his queen mattress to storage. They said they would come back the next day to fix the mattress situation. We called the office 2 times & sent the supervisor a message to coordinate a time & the owner nor the supervisor has yet to respond. We paid them trusting they would come back and fix the situation but they left us hanging. The office manager said it's up to the owner to respond & he has not responded at all. We waited 7 days to give the owner a chance to respond before posting this review but no response, nothing. We had to go back to the old house 3 times to pack & move the final items & now we have to pay someone to correct the mattress situation.We have moved 7 times in the last 10 years and this was the worst experience. We are still digging through boxes trying to figure out what is inside and still moving boxes that are in the bedroom closets that should be in the kitchen or basement. read more
