When it was time to pick it up they provided a 12:30 to 3:30 window. It's 5:30 now and they're still not here. Calls to dispatch during the day have been met with a series of lies - they were supposedly 4 miles away and on their way at 2:30 (3 hours ago) then the driver added a stop and hauled someone else's POD back to their storage lot 40 miles away before starting back during rush hour. I have zero confidence in this company and would never recommend them to anyone for any reason. EDIT: They never showed up to pick up the POD. Called them next morning. Customer Service is unable to reach dispatch and unable to determine a new pickup time or whereabouts of truck.

But what really made this place special is its assistant manager, Aspen Rose. Not only did he go out of his way to make the entire process simple, but he helped me get the measurements right beforehand, and get the car squeezed into a snug space. Registration and checking were quick and painless. Likewise, retrieving the car and closing out the account were quick and painless. And it was great to greet Aspen again. He and storage sense are what all service business should strive for.

The driveways are very sloped... Meaning the carts that you have access to will not stay still. On more than one occasion I have seen them roll away from people as they are trying to load them. Then, once you load the cart good luck getting it through the door... They have nice automatic rollup doors but the lip at the bottom of them is so steep it is very difficult to push the cart over the lip. I nice touch is the fact that they play music over the speakers inside the facility. However, on more than one occasion I have been there and all that is playing over the speakers is static. Very loud static. Overall, as far as storage facilities go, this place isn't bad. I've seen a lot worse.

I had only had this lease for 3 months before they jacked up the prices. No excuse was given to me by "Jessica" for the rate increase and she offered me a different unit for the same price of $110 a month. She later stated that per the lease they can raise the storage rate after 6 months. I haven't even been there 6 months. She further stated that a letter was mailed out to me in February. Well I was deployed for the entire month of February and the mail was held. No letter from them was ever received. I told her that and she did not have a reply. This is a shady business practice.

The second is that they are only in office Monday-Friday so good luck if your code doesn't work, which mine did not twice in the first two months. Third, you should note that they change your access code randomly and lock you out which leaves you not able to access your own unit on weekends. (Since there is no office to contact and no lock out number). Finally, they raise your rent randomly and after 4 -6 months (even when you signed up without a promotion). Buyer beware.

Awful customer service!…read more We reserved a unit that we would need for about six months. On the day that we had reserved, we arrived to pay and was told it was just sold to someone else. My wife was visibly shaken. The clerk's only response was "If somebody is standing in front of me with money in hand, I'm not going to tell them no!" To remedy the situation, they offered 2 smaller units (1 climate controlled, one not) that would add up to the same square footage as the one (climate controlled) they sold away. It had been a very long time since I last moved and the last company was all booked up on the date…read moreI was looking for assistance. So after receiving a few quotes from a handful of businesses, I went with Potomac Moving due to the speed of their response, clarity in communication, pricing and overall warmth and professionalism. In our first phone call to walk though my needs, they were very assuring and accommodating, which is a such a relief in the midst of stress and coordination that comes with planning for a move. They were also always very responsive in the few times that I reached out between the time I paid the deposit and the actual move. A night or two before, I sent at email regarding wardrobe boxes, since I was debating whether or not I should buy and have a few delivered to me. The owner responded quickly, assuring me that wardrobe boxes were tried, true and if I wanted to buy any directly from them that I could. That ended up being a great call, because they were able to properly enforce the boxes so that even the boxes filled with my heaviest coats remained in tact. On the day of the move, the movers were communicative regarding their arrival time. They were also very nice and hard working. I had a few large furniture items that needed to be disassembled and they ended up being quite beasts to tackle. But they worked diligently to break them down. Once it came time to move things to my new place, that was a breeze. One gesture that I thought was just so classy, was the owner called in the middle of the move to check-in on how things were going - I really appreciated that. Overall, would definitely recommend PMC - they're easy to work with, fair and transparent about pricing and you're sure to be met with professionalism!
