But what really made this place special is its assistant manager, Aspen Rose. Not only did he go out of his way to make the entire process simple, but he helped me get the measurements right beforehand, and get the car squeezed into a snug space. Registration and checking were quick and painless. Likewise, retrieving the car and closing out the account were quick and painless. And it was great to greet Aspen again. He and storage sense are what all service business should strive for.

I just spoke with "Jessica" with Self Storage Plus…read morein Bristow, VA after finding that they rated my rate for a 10x10 unit from $110 a month to $174 a month (without notification). I had only had this lease for 3 months before they jacked up the prices. No excuse was given to me by "Jessica" for the rate increase and she offered me a different unit for the same price of $110 a month. She later stated that per the lease they can raise the storage rate after 6 months. I haven't even been there 6 months. She further stated that a letter was mailed out to me in February. Well I was deployed for the entire month of February and the mail was held. No letter from them was ever received. I told her that and she did not have a reply. This is a shady business practice.

The man on the phone said YES, so I rented it online. I drove to the location and there was no space to drop a POD. I called back and spoke to the manager and she said they don't allow PODs. Because 48 hours had passed I was not getting a refund of my $224. READ THE FINE PRINT IN YOUR CONTRACT. Read the other reviews as well. No other comments so maybe this review will stick.

I immediately moved out and will never use this company again. Beware of the low initial price offered for units....if they have someone new who wants to rent your space, they will raise the price so high that , in my case, was almost double. So much for caring about your customers and their loyalty to their business. I would never recommend this business. I used this storage space prior to Self Storage Plus acquiring the business, and much prefer the previous owner who did not rip you off like this.

When I came with her to return the rental the service was a bit cold but same guy didn't give attitude this time. Sizes and location can be tricky. * Watch out: They have a $9 insurance monthly plan that is not mandatory after the first month. They tend to FORGET that you don't want it. They also only take pmt online, which makes it easier to forget. They are scummy like that - but the facility is pristine. Also, bring your own lock and save yourself some money.

Awful customer service!…read more We reserved a unit that we would need for about six months. On the day that we had reserved, we arrived to pay and was told it was just sold to someone else. My wife was visibly shaken. The clerk's only response was "If somebody is standing in front of me with money in hand, I'm not going to tell them no!" To remedy the situation, they offered 2 smaller units (1 climate controlled, one not) that would add up to the same square footage as the one (climate controlled) they sold away. When my wife asked if she could be charged the price of the single unit we were supposed to get, they said it was not an option. We will use CubeSmart instead.
