I am a CPA, a CFO and have dealt with many businesses over the years. Reliable Pool Care is a company I can recommend to my friends and business associates. We moved into my home in 1995 (house built in 1991) and have used several pool service companies. Just before the freezing weather I noticed some new leaking from the PVC connections. Not an emergency but something that needed to be fixed. Contacted my normal pool service and they said they would be out to give an estimate ($100 charge). The day they were to come out was the first freeze (Feb 2014) and they did not show or call, and no call for several days. Finally I called them and they said with the freeze they couldn't work, that made sense but was frustrated that they not call at all. We rescheduled but I started looking in Yelp. Found Reliable, liked the reviews and called them. We scheduled a time for them to come out and look at my sytem (NO CHARGE, liked that). Reliable came out at the scheduled time and we discussed my options. It has been 20+ years since the pool was installed and there were several issues that I had just learned to work around. I asked for 2 estimates, a "full fix" and a "fix what's needed now" estimate . Both were reasonable, and I went with the "fix what's needed now" job. We went back and forth since I have a Caretaker system that needed to be replaced and Reliable was patient without making me feel I was putting them out with my requests. The work was scheduled and Reliable called the day before to confirm. Reliable called on the scheduled day to confirm the estimated time and then when they were driving to the job, as I had requested. About 6:00 Reliable called and said they were done. The water flow system was different from my old set up and they talked me through the system and discussed the job. I am very happy with the new system and Reliables work. I called a few days later to ask a question and again Reliable was very patient and helpful. My DE filter is the original so I will need to replace it in a few years, I know Reliable will be the company I call to do the job. PS: When I called my original pool service company to cancel the estimate, they didn't care. It just reaffirmed my choice to go with Reliable Pool Care. read more

Contacted this company based on the yelp reviews. The initial contact was positive. The agreement included removing leaves from the pool, brushing it, and spraying the debris off the pool deck (using the hose from my pool cleaner as they suggested). However, immediately following the first visit, I noticed the leaves that had sunk to the bottom were gone. The steps had been brushed but the vertical sides of the steps were still dirty. There was absolutely no attempt made to spray the pool deck as was promised. When I called the company to explain my dissatisfaction, I received lots of excuses like "the pool cleaner is the brother of my partner and he takes pride in his work" and "it's a hard time of year" and "we can spend an hour and then we have to stop" and "next time we'll try to make it perfect". Sorry no next time. I was seeking perfection, just a follow-through on the three cleaning steps we agreed upon, remove leaves, brush pool, spray debris off pool deck. Oh and he also asked me to "check with my husband to get confirmation that it's hard to clean a pool". Oh brother. Yeah, not so "reliable". read more

Brian with Reliable Pool Care came out about 1-2 months ago and did work on my pool equipment, It has been leaking on the part that was worked on. I called him back and explained that it has been leaking since he left and needed it to be fixed. He came out today and told me that the specific part that is causing the leak was not something that was fixed originally and he was not sure how he could have missed it. He wanted to charge me for labor and the part and I feel that this should be covered under a warranty - which I am beginning to wonder if they even back up there work with a warranty. I have used them in the past - but will not again. I am very disappointed in their service. I do not want them out here again and will get someone who actually is reliable to fix the job and actually guarantee the work. t feel in this instance I need to make the pool owner who needs work done to be advised. read more

My pool was a mess and I needed expert help. I struggled all summer with balancing the water, and it turned bright green every other week. I do my own pool maintenance and repairs [up to my limited abilities] but when I can't figure it out I call Bryan and Julio. This is the second time I've had them service my equipment. The first time they rebuilt the failed impeller in my main pump [a little over a year ago]. This time around it was an electrical problem and a real head scratcher. It was traced to a faulty switch in the main timer and within an hour they had me up and running again. These guys are personable and polite and some of the best service professionals I have had the pleasure to employ. We 5 or more years now. Although technicians come and go, as is normal in this business- they are always highly trained by the owners. Julio and Brian are the top and so easy to work with. They always have my pool beautifully blue and have no issues with a change in service to bi-weekly if it is what I ask for. They also always call before any additional work is performed and make sure you are on board with the cost and why. That was not the case before I found them. Can't give enough praise. Four years ago, I had a pool built in my backyard. I noticed the pool pump started leaking. After contacting the contractor several times that he didn't want to be bothered repairing it. After reading such good reviews about Reliable Pool Care, I gave them a call. We set up an appointment and they came right on time. These guys were terrific and now everything is working great. Reliable Pool Care has been taking care of my pool since 2013. This in-ground pool has a salt-water chlorine generator and a heater. Reliable Pool Care does an excellent job of keeping the pool sparkling clean and the chemistry balanced. First off they taught me how to care for a pool, but now I mainly just scoop leaves, and they do everything else. They have repaired or replaced equipment as needed promptly and expertly. This is a great company! We've been using Reliable for about 4 years now, and we've always been very happy with their service. Everyone is great: Bryan, Thomas, Ben, etc..
