Frozen Pancakes that were pre-bought.
Signal S.

Second time having Red Rooster. Unfortunately, both times a swing and a miss. Ordered 2 sides of pancakes that totaled over $10. I made the assumption that they were made there. Instead, I recieved the frozen ones you buy from any grocery store. Please see picture.

3 piece white meat (2 wings and 1 breast), with mac n cheese and potato salad.

By far the best fried chicken in Maryland! Crispy, juicy, and flavorful all the way through. Loved the mac n cheese. The potato salad was a little bit sweeter than I like, but still good. Overall, I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be back!

Rolls, which are smaller than they look in the picture.

The fried chicken is definitely the star at Red Rooster. Order the family meal, which came with 12 pieces of chicken, "bucket" fo fries, another side of your choice, and dinner rolls. Fried chicken was seasoned well, tender, juicy, and meaty. Skin was crispy and not overly battered. For the price of the family meal, $34.99, wish it came with less legs...I think half of the chicken were legs. Fries were okay. Didn't hold up well on the drive home. Came in large bag, rather than a bucket. So many fries! Ordered mac and cheese, but ended up with coleslaw. Coleslaw was okay as well (generally not a fan). After reading reviews about soupy mac and cheese, I guess I can't be too mad that I got coleslaw by mistake. I enjoyed the rolls, which were soft and fluffy. Super tiny, though. Also tried their fried shrimp, which wasn't bad. But for $7.99, I'd pass next time around. Chocolate shake was pretty good. Small was plenty. Service was good, with the gentleman taking our order being patient as we decided what to order. Food took slightly longer than stated, but it was nice that he brought our order to the car when it was done. Inside the store is fairly small. Just enough room to order. They have several tables outside, with two under covering. No bathroom, but they do have a surprisingly clean porta potty just outside.

6 piece chicken

Stopped in Sunday around lunch. There's a small indoor area to order which has various menus on the wall, a small counter and a little area for napkins, ketchup and the like. I was impressed with the number of items on the menu. We got a six piece chicken, a small coleslaw and a medium size macaroni and cheese. The guy that took our order brought our food outside where we sat at one of the many tables. As mentioned elsewhere, there's no bathroom, but the port o John was in good shape. The friend chicken was good. We got a nice mix of pieces and it was cooked well. The coleslaw was tangy and delicious. The Mac and cheese was mostly flavorless. I wouldn't recommend it. The medium size fries were good. They could have used more salt, though by the time I had some My hands hand chicken grease on them and I wasn't going to spread that on the door. Overall the price was good, they have outdoor seating and the chicken was fine.

Big red meal with 2 sides.

I came here around 2pm on a Tuesday. The ordering area was pretty small but the staff was super friendly and answered any questions I had about the menu. I went with the big red burger and made it a combo with two sides for an extra $3 or so. I got the onion rings and the Mac n cheese. The burger itself was cooked nicely and I would definitely get it again if I was in the area, but nothing to go out if your way for. The onion rings were decent but the Mac n cheese was way too soupy. Overall I'd come back here to get another burger or maybe try their fried chicken or breakfast.

I love red Rooster. The food is delicious. I like their sides . They have breakfast as well. They should extend their late hours.

I don't see any reason why there Chicken is Overpriced.. I spend $30 for 8 pcs Chicken and Onion rings. Chicken is dry it might be overcooked or the oil is old, Onion rings is alright. My friend recommended it for me but definitely I'm not coming back again. I came from Germantown drove 20 mins just to try but I was not impressed.

1/4 lbs. Cheeseburger. Not bad but nothing special.

Went for dinner. Ordered the 1/4 bacon cheeseburger and two regular (small) cheeseburgers for the kids. The kids burgers were not good. Shoe leather. One kid ate it, the other had trouble finishing it. The 1/4 burger was fine. No complaints. Nothing special. Soft bun. I'd eat it again but I also think the Burger King next door would probably serve me a more flavorful burger. They forget to put bacon on my sandwich but gave me a very generous side portion when I asked. The bacon is crispy but poor quality. It's that very thin cheap bacon that tastes more like burnt crunch than bacon. Fries were fine. We were going to order milkshakes but the machine wasn't working. Went for dinner and decided to sit outside. Tables were all sticky and there was an overwhelming odor of their dumpster that kind of put a damper on things. I wanted to like the place. I try to support local privately owned establishments that have been around forever. It just wasn't that good. I'd eat there again, but wouldn't go out of my way for it. Maybe we should try the chicken. Seems to be known for the chicken. Service was friendly.

. The fried chicken is delicious - far better than Kentucky Fried Chicken (sorry, Colonel). The wedges and onion rings are great!

Wilcom's Inn offers a different and delicious brunch, their Peruvian and American fusion brunch…read moreserved tapas style is a phenomenal idea and I am here for it. Everything I've tried in the few times I've been there has been delicious, made fresh and consistently delicious! Their Shrimp Linquini A la Rosa is the best thing! But they have so many other good things like the poached eggs, the mini empanadas, the cream of crab soup, the dress leches cake and more! You will certainly find something you like! Service is also always attentive, friendly and they know exactly when they should strike a conversation or not. The place is quite old and it carries a nice vibe inside, one side is a bar and the other the dinning room! I need to try out the bar one of these days! I highly recommend Wilcom's Inn brunch, it is pricey but it is worth it!

The service is what you are happy with in a 3 star restaurant, so it's a win budget wise ;-)

There were about three other tables with customers seated and eating. There were seats at the bar that looked like back in the days when they served soda fountains. That's ok; every place has its own way do doing things. I waited. Noticeably, I was the only person of color in the entire restaurant. Still, I waited because no tables were available and they could see I was there. They made eye contact several times, walked by me several times. Finally, a table was turned over (very very slowly). I anticipated that would be mine since I'd been waiting and no one else was there. While the table was being turned over, another party came in. They were not spoken to either. When done, the woman who had turned over the table greeted them and walked them to the fresh table. She looked at me and turned away. I watched, confused. Someone who appeared to be a manager or owner hopped down off her stool at the bar having seen what happened, spoke to the hostess and asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar. I declined. I had waited and I wanted a table. The woman just turned and walked back to her seat at the bar. No apology (though she saw what happened), no indication of making it right. The hostess appeared annoyed but not apologetic and said nothing. I ended up leaving because the people there made us feel so unwanted - blatantly and boldly so. So if you're POC or visibly queer, skip this place.

After living in Damascus for about 4 years, I have yet to check out Quincys until now…read more We were really hungry after coming home from a winery and wanted some bar food. A juicy burger to be exact! We walked in around 745. It was kinda empty, but i was pretty impressed with how spacious it was. The bar was pretty big and the restaurant itself appeared really clean. We sat down and were greeted by Grace, who was super awesome and provided amazing service. I told her exactly what I wanted without even looking at the menu and boy did she deliver. I wanted a BBQ bacon cheeseburger, which was the perfect ending to my night. My husband and cousin also got a burger and enjoyed them as well. Her husband got a Nashville chicken sandwich and he said it was pretty good. I also got tater toys, which were perfectly crip. The only drawback was I had ordered a margarita and asked for it to be topped with grand marnier. They charge a whole extra $12 for it. Not Grace's fault, but it was definitely surprising. Overall, good food, great vibes and I love that we found another local spot to go to.

What started as a pop-up by Hunter Karametos has now flourished into a brick-and-mortar, and it feels like Steeze Burger is just getting started. The concept is simple: burger, cheese, sauce, fries. But Steeze's take on it is what makes it special. The beef is local and specially curated by the owner, the signature Steeze sauce is unlike anything else, and even the fries feel thoughtfully chosen. Nothing is overcomplicated. It's just a simple concept done really well. The whole place has a super grassroots, super MoCo feel. Hunter's love of skateboarding is woven into the personality of the shop, from the skateboards on the walls to the logo and overall vibe. It may technically be a fast-food joint, but it definitely feels like an experience. We love supporting a family-owned business, especially one with such an interesting story behind it. They also keep things fun with frequent specials and creative menu additions while staying true to the simple burger-shop concept, which I love. Great food, great story, great local energy. Highly recommend Steeze Burger. Check us out at @flavors.club on instagram to get better highlights on this dine-in experience.
