Frozen Pancakes that were pre-bought.
Signal S.

Second time having Red Rooster. Unfortunately, both times a swing and a miss. Ordered 2 sides of pancakes that totaled over $10. I made the assumption that they were made there. Instead, I recieved the frozen ones you buy from any grocery store. Please see picture.

Rolls, which are smaller than they look in the picture.

The fried chicken is definitely the star at Red Rooster. Order the family meal, which came with 12 pieces of chicken, "bucket" fo fries, another side of your choice, and dinner rolls. Fried chicken was seasoned well, tender, juicy, and meaty. Skin was crispy and not overly battered. For the price of the family meal, $34.99, wish it came with less legs...I think half of the chicken were legs. Fries were okay. Didn't hold up well on the drive home. Came in large bag, rather than a bucket. So many fries! Ordered mac and cheese, but ended up with coleslaw. Coleslaw was okay as well (generally not a fan). After reading reviews about soupy mac and cheese, I guess I can't be too mad that I got coleslaw by mistake. I enjoyed the rolls, which were soft and fluffy. Super tiny, though. Also tried their fried shrimp, which wasn't bad. But for $7.99, I'd pass next time around. Chocolate shake was pretty good. Small was plenty. Service was good, with the gentleman taking our order being patient as we decided what to order. Food took slightly longer than stated, but it was nice that he brought our order to the car when it was done. Inside the store is fairly small. Just enough room to order. They have several tables outside, with two under covering. No bathroom, but they do have a surprisingly clean porta potty just outside.

6 piece chicken

Stopped in Sunday around lunch. There's a small indoor area to order which has various menus on the wall, a small counter and a little area for napkins, ketchup and the like. I was impressed with the number of items on the menu. We got a six piece chicken, a small coleslaw and a medium size macaroni and cheese. The guy that took our order brought our food outside where we sat at one of the many tables. As mentioned elsewhere, there's no bathroom, but the port o John was in good shape. The friend chicken was good. We got a nice mix of pieces and it was cooked well. The coleslaw was tangy and delicious. The Mac and cheese was mostly flavorless. I wouldn't recommend it. The medium size fries were good. They could have used more salt, though by the time I had some My hands hand chicken grease on them and I wasn't going to spread that on the door. Overall the price was good, they have outdoor seating and the chicken was fine.

Big red meal with 2 sides.

I came here around 2pm on a Tuesday. The ordering area was pretty small but the staff was super friendly and answered any questions I had about the menu. I went with the big red burger and made it a combo with two sides for an extra $3 or so. I got the onion rings and the Mac n cheese. The burger itself was cooked nicely and I would definitely get it again if I was in the area, but nothing to go out if your way for. The onion rings were decent but the Mac n cheese was way too soupy. Overall I'd come back here to get another burger or maybe try their fried chicken or breakfast.

I love red Rooster. The food is delicious. I like their sides . They have breakfast as well. They should extend their late hours.

I don't see any reason why there Chicken is Overpriced.. I spend $30 for 8 pcs Chicken and Onion rings. Chicken is dry it might be overcooked or the oil is old, Onion rings is alright. My friend recommended it for me but definitely I'm not coming back again. I came from Germantown drove 20 mins just to try but I was not impressed.

1/4 lbs. Cheeseburger. Not bad but nothing special.

Food is ok. Very small portions. Sides will come in one of those small plastic condiment containers meant for dressing and not sides.

Comfort food at its best. So much homier than the Colonel or the spinach guy. The Rooster balls are unbelievably tasty.

Great food. They have fantastic fried chicken and great burgers. It is takeout only, but don't let the store front deter you.

I wasn't sure if we were going to get seating on a Friday night as we could not make reservations…read more As we entered, there was a group of five people waiting for a table. But luckily for us, a tiny table fit only for two was available. It was all the way in the back! But that was totally fine. We liked our little corner. The place was definitely packed but our server never forgot about us. Back in our little corner were memorabilia from the local schools dating back to the 90's from what I can tell. It really had a nostalgic feel. To start we got the crabby rolls from the specials menu. It was more creamy than crabby. I tasted more of the cream cheese than any crab. For entrees we ordered the fish and chips and main street Madeira. The fish came in small filets that were the size of chicken tenders. Not a huge fan of the portion. The fries were soggy but glad that the coleslaw came in a lettuce pocket. At least that prevented the coleslaw liquid from seeping onto the fish and fries. The chicken madeira was fantastic. I almost never order chicken breasts fearing that it would be dry but this was not. The two breast meat was cooked in a madeira wine sauce topped with mushrooms and a mozzarella, fontina, and spinach cheese blend. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. I can taste the lovely wine. Served along the dish was red mashed potatoes. I love red mashed potatoes because it has a bit of the skin. I liked this dish a lot! Service was attentive, friendly, and fast. This place is a neighborhood gem. Not sure about parking. There was some street parking and there may be a lot next to the restaurant but from the direction that we came, we ended up parking across the street. A tricky crossing because the crosswalk was up the block.

Although we have lived in the area for a few years now, this was our first time trying. The service was friendly and very good. The outdoor seating option is nice on the sidewalk, but we dined inside. The inside is designed as a single dining room with the bar running the length of the space. There were some TVs with sports airing behind the bar. The prices were very reasonable. The food was good. The portions were large and the prices were good. I felt like the flavor was missing something with the fish and chips and the same with the zucchini side. The grouper was pretty good. The mashed potatoes were very good. Overall, it was a decent meal and maybe another visit trying different food will change my opinion for the better.

This was our first time here, as on prior occasions we found the line too daunting. We were surprised when another 4:15pm patron was led to their reserved table, but we learned that their planning and caution was well-founded. We discovered the popularity of Bolder to be well-deserved. Seeking lite fare for an early dinner, calorie conscious, we both navigated the tempation-filled menu with success. We thoroughly enjoyed the bison burger and turkey club, the latter being sufficiently sample for a split lunch the next day too. Service was rock-solid and very efficient. We definitely hope to be back soon. And we will make a reservation. Dress code is casual.

It's a little bit off 70, but not bad. First off, this restaurant has an incredibly oversized parking lot. Maybe the restaurant has areas I didn't see, but I was a little bemused. Inside, it's decorated a bit like an old lady house with country accents. It's welcoming and nice, if a little old. I was seated and served quickly. My waitress was great. I ordered French onion soup and a bison burger with sweet potato fries. The French onion soup came out first. It had a huge layer of cheese on top, but it tasted like white cheddar. The soup itself was good at first but started getting bitter. I discovered a huge bay leaf in it. That explains that. Guys, leaving a bay leaf hidden in French onion soup is a violation of Article 35(2) of the Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions. My sweet potato fries were seasoned with a chipotle cinnamon blend. It was weirdly sweet and clashed with the burger. I didn't care for it and honestly feel like if you're going to season with something weird, you should be abundantly clear. The burger was a disappointment. It was fairly basic. It was cooked right, but every so often I would get a burst of salt. I suspect the meat was salted and not well mixed. My burger, fries, and side of soup came to over $40. I am honestly being more critical of them because of that. At that price point, I expect REALLY good, not salt pockets, a left-in bay leaf, and weird seasonings.

We sat down and were greeted by Grace, who was super awesome and provided amazing service. I told her exactly what I wanted without even looking at the menu and boy did she deliver. I wanted a BBQ bacon cheeseburger, which was the perfect ending to my night. My husband and cousin also got a burger and enjoyed them as well. Her husband got a Nashville chicken sandwich and he said it was pretty good. I also got tater toys, which were perfectly crip. The only drawback was I had ordered a margarita and asked for it to be topped with grand marnier. They charge a whole extra $12 for it. Not Grace's fault, but it was definitely surprising. Overall, good food, great vibes and I love that we found another local spot to go to.

We were pretty early in the line and the ordering part didn't take too long if you come ready. We ordered for a large group (double burgers, single burgers) and do wish they would add some bacon at some point. Pricing for 6 burgers/doubles was around $60ish so it wasn't too bad. We did end up waiting around 30 minutes for the food itself, perhaps because of the bigger order. The way they write on the burger covers was confusing, I wasn't sure which had no sauce or sauce or pickles or not so we had to unwrap all of them. I did love the sesame bun but I will say, I was surprised that the meat itself felt a little tasteless, like it needed some more seasoning. It definitely lacked the crispness of a classic smash burger but I will say, the cheese and Steez sauce so bring the whole thing together (along with the great pickles). I think if they just season the meat a bit more and give it a more crispy vibe, it could easily be the best burger out there. They did slightly mess up our order, giving us a burger with no sauce on the side like requested and one double sesame top bun triple burger when we ordered a double but overall a solid spot if you get in the line early.
