I had never eaten at a Red Lobster before, although the wife claims we did 20 something years ago. Oh well, whatever... we had a gift card so we rolled in to this place. I'm glad we did, because after my first exposure to Red Lobster I plan to return. Keep in mind this review is only for ONE visit, so it could change down the road. We received fabulous service, from the hostess and host to the waitress and food servers. Two thumbs up! We ordered the Lobster and Langostino Pizza (Blend of Maine, langostino and Norway lobster, mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and sweet basil.) as an appetizer; as well as a cold draft beer. The waitress also brought us some of their kind of cheesy biscuits. The biscuits melted in our mouths and were very flavorful. The pizza appetizer was super thin crust, but held up well under the toppings. That was one of the best appetizer pizzas both of us had ever had. Very flavorful! For our entrees I ordered the Friday special - fried fish, coleslaw and fries (which according to their menu is the same as the fish & chips plate). The wife ordered the Seaside Shrimp Trio (a sampling of Walt's Favorite Shrimp, hand-crafted garlic shrimp scampi and creamy shrimp linguini Alfredo. Served with lemon, cocktail sauce and choice of two sides). When my plate arrived I observed there was a single piece of fried fish. What I soon found out was this piece of fish was a solid, decent sized, filet and thicker than most fish & chips you run across at most other places. It wasn't the common Atlantic cod. I'm thinking it was a rock cod filet, but failed to inquire. The filet was lightly battered, not crazily thick like some places. This allowed for more taste of the actual filet, not the batter! The filet was not overdone and moist. I really liked it! The fries were crisp. The coleslaw was okay, but I'm not a big fan of slaw to begin with. I was very satisfied with my meal. The wife's Seaside Shrimp plate had healthy portions of the three varieties of shrimp. For my wife to tell me, "there are way too many shrimp"; as well as allow me to sample all three, I know that's the case. I really enjoyed the taste of the Alfredo sauce and garlic butter on two of the items. The cocktail sauce for the third item (batter fried shrimp) was decent too. We have been to the Bluewater Grill here in Temecula a couple of times. That place, albeit the service and food were good+, is not worth the extra big bucks unless you are trying to impress a significant other on a date. This place is not as "elegant", but it's not a run down dive either (kind of old school I suppose). Hey, but that's just me - y'all can decide on that. They have some pretty damn good looking daily deals on the menu, that are enticing us back sooner rather then later. I hope that whoever the head chef overseer in the kitchen, on Friday night was, is there again when we go. He/she was spot on. I want to give a special recognition to EILEEN the hostess we had today 3/4/23 on my mothers birthday! She was AMAZING. She always said thank you back to us and made sure we were satisfied and well taken care of during our dining experience. She really had the most positive attitude the entire time and we really enjoyed her service! I wish more people took pride in their customer service the way she does! She not only was complimented by 3 other tables while we were there for her customer service but she lived up too all of the compliments she received! I have no idea why this place is scored low! I honestly had a wonderful dinner with my hubby! Shoutout to our waiter josh for being on top of everything! Portions were huge! Their entrees come with free cheddar biscuits & either Caesar or garden salad! Both are delicious!!! They let you see the lobster and take photos before they cook it! Their Cajon seasoning on their lobster was to die for!!!!! The only nasty thing was broccoli which is why I'm not giving 5 stars! They just steamed broccoli, it had no flavor whatsoever! It was a disappointing experience, the food was average, customer service poor, and I would not go back or recommend it. It took over 2.5 hours to receive the one plate of pasta that I ordered. Other family members received their food between 1-2 hours after ordering it. They were only willing to give me less than a 10% discount after going back a forth about it. The waiter was nice, and was obviously not a fault. Whoever is in charge of the kitchen doesn't seem to be able to manage a busy kitchen. And the managers may need more training on customer service. read more

We came in on a Thursday with a party of 15 and they easily accommodated us within 25 minutes. Staff is super nice and everyone is wearing masks and sanitising in between visits. We ordered fried mozzarella sticks which were a very generous plate full and they were great. Hubby ordered some clam chowder that was too thin bu he liked the flavor. I ordered salmon shrimp and lobster plate with mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans were perfectly cooked and a very large portion, the salmon was yummy, the lobster tail was small and excellent. The shrimp skewer was undercooked. My husband ordered Kung pao noodles with crispy lobster, it was plentiful and very tasty! He could only finish half of the noodles it was such a good thing! All in all we enjoyed our meal. read more

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday lunch and it was great. They accidentally brought out the wrong soup and let us keep it since it was an honest mistake. So we got the bacon and potato for free and it was good. They finally honor VA discount so that was a good surprise. They could update the decor but that's ok. Firstly let me say the service was awesome. I had a wonderful server only 8 months old with RL. He listened attentively to just how awful my lobster lagostino pizza was. This used to be a delicious pizza with a buttery garlic sauce and chunks of juicy lobster and lagostino(which is Crawdads from bayou s of Louisiana). What on earth happened here? I do not go into eateries where there are no customers (only a handful were here for the lunch hour) , but I thought...it's Red Lobster....only good experiences in the past. Well, there are reasons why people do not choose to return to restaurants and here are mine: Before I begin I do have to mention how super my server was, absolutely a darling. The place is dark and dingy and outdated and when I still see carpets ( in a food establishment) which very likely have been there years I think of a wall to wall germ farm = bacteria, mold, dust, dirt, grease, hair, bugs etc. Even the photos are dark. The salad had more more core pieces in it than green leaves. The lobster bisque was so salty. The biscuits were salty and smaller than days gone by. The clam chowder was watery, salty ( as well) with grease floating on top. It tasted like an off brand out of a can. The salad dressing tasted bland and not quite right. I pretty much pushed everything away and was about to ask for my money back. I had a feeling not to order anything much and I am glad I didn't waste my money in doing so. Even the water tasted bad. Whoever is making decisions for this Co. needs to really rethink all because the way it is run now will not draw in return customers nor good word of mouth. I will miss RL read more

This Red Lobster (RL) to me is like most RL just pretty average but affordable seafood. The service is alright no complaints there, the food is good for the price which RL is known for. I've been here twice the first time with a date and the second time with the fam. I've had the lobster pizza and it was pretty good and I would probably have it again. I love how RL is always having some type of special like the all you eat shrimp for a limited time. I usually get the coconut shrimp with some type of dipping sauce. When I want affordable seafood I will come to Red Lobster because its good for the price, the food is consistent and the servers are very helpful. read more

The last time I was here it was pretty bad. First it started with a not so friendly, slightly sarcastic hostess. Than it escalated quickly after being seated. We had to wait at the very least 15 minutes before we (not any of the employees) decided to get up and ask for a sever. I really couldn't belive it. So many employees (including what looked like a manager passed by our table. It was very upsetting because this happens to my husband and I a lot but we were with the kids and they needed to eat. This is one of the longest waits we've experienced. My husband ended up going to that same hostess i was unsure about and telling him we have not been acknowledged yet. He actually went and got us drinks which was nice. We finally got our server and he apologized but the damage was done. I'm not sure if it was his fault or the hostess but with the amount of employees that passed by our table it was still unacceptable. I Really Love the Crab Legs with butter. I used to love their Crab Bisque but I don't see it on the menu anymore. I didn't like the lobster on baked potato(too salty & chewy)/ I also liked the Trout(plain). The one in Thousand Oaks closed & I got it from the valley via DoorDash. I used to get it for my birthday but the food prices have gone up & the long distance delivery fee from DoorDash are a lot higher & There are so many added fees & now they put the increased Tip Rate. I still really Love Red Lobster and hope I can't get it sometime again. I will add that they do add a lot with the delivery ie. Gloves, a pick, extra rolls, napkins, salad dressing(which I've had Cheesecake forget when the meal was a salad) & a bib. read more

The food was great, but the issue we had was that we ordered curb side pick up and it was handled by Grub Hub through Yelp. Dont bother!!!! Call the restaurant directly! They never called us back to tell us our order was ready, and when we called Grub Hub to inquire they didnt help at all and claimed they couldnt reach the Temecula location, Baloney!. So we called the restaurant directly with no problem, and they said the order had been ready for 45 minutes. We USED TO love this restaurant! NOT anymore! The last few times we've eaten here, we hope it's going to be better. Nope! Yesterday, on Christmas we decided to make it easy and eat out as I had just had a surgery a few days prior and our big Christmas was on Christmas eve. Red lobster was one of the only restaurants open so we crossed our fingers! Unfortunately it was worse than ever! Our server Anthony was great and felt bad about our food but it wasn't his issue. The service was fine! We had also forgotten that every single time we eat there, my daughter gets very I'll! Stomach ache, cramps, in bed all day. Our food was made three different times to correct the mistakes! First, the wrong order on the plate. Second time, wrong seafood. Third time, med/ med, med rare steak was well done. Came back with so much salt we couldn't even eat it! At this point everyone else was finished so we just left it. My other daughter tried to order the clam chowder but it was like water. They were out of food and condiments.... Each time a new plate was brought out, a different manager dropped it without as much as an I'm sorry, can we get anything else for you..... nothing! Didnt even acknowledge it! And they weren't busy! So that's not an excuse! This was the worst experience we've ever had here and will never be back! Now I'm taking care of my sick daughter again! First time eating there and we were really disappointed, our waitress had a larger table and we felt really neglected. The steak was cooked wrong, she took it back to correct it and brought back the side to the table. We waited a while, steak was now charcoaled and very dry plus with a cold side. Glasses empty, no refills and at the end we were literally eating cold food on a table full of dirty dishes that were never picked up. This restaurant needs to reconsider their hiring process and training provided to employees. The hostess is the front face of the establishment. She showed no interest in making sure my party was taken care of. I walked into the restaurant with no other parties waiting. No parties waiting outside or no parties waking inside. I told her the size of our party and she looked at me and told me it would be a wait as they are waiting for a family to leave as they been there almost 2 hours(as she gestured to the table to the left of the hostess stand). We were waiting for that area and that party to leave so that we can be seated. My party waited patiently and we were really surprised that she didn't seat our large party when the table got cleaned up. Thought maybe the waiter or waitress in that area was on break...that was not the case. She sat a smaller party who came after us. When we brought to her attention we'd been waiting, she told us that party was there before us. This is a lie because she would have told me that there were parties ahead of us that put in a reservation when I checked in. My mother-in -law heard the hostess ask this family "is this table alright for you all?" And the female asked to be seated at the table that was promised for our family. I guess special treatment is only reserved for the few and not something this restaurant gives to everyone. read more
