Came to lunch today after a long day. This place is cute and clean. We came on a weekend so it could have been a fluke but the service was slllllllooooow. We ordered and then two other people brought our orders out. It took forever for her to bring my granddaughters drink. I am talking about over 30 minutes. Our Server was Tami! I believe she only works on Tuesday's and Wednesdays, Absolutely the best of the best when it comes to servers. It's not often I get that server that is so attentive, she was on top of everything from helping figure what food we were looking for, filling drinks without asking if we need refills to cleaning off the dirty dishes on the table which is a pet peeve of mine. Great experience at Islands! The chicken tortilla soup was excellent, and the Longboarder burger was cooked perfectly medium - super juicy. The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious too. Prices felt fair overall, the service was standard (no complaints), and the ambiance is your classic Islands Restaurant Hawaiian vibe. We like Islands and with the grandkids visiting we decided to DoorDash us some dinner from Islands. Our order included Kalua Pork Tacos, 2 Jr Waves with cheese, fries for both and the Bleunami Burger with bacon and Onion Rings on the side. Order arrived when promised, nothing missing. The Kalua Pork Tacos were pretty damn good. The Bleunami Burger was juicy, cooked perfectly and very flavorful as was the Onion Rings. Grandkids demolished their Jr Waves with cheese so we acknowledged that as a thumbs up from them. Price was pretty good for the quality and quantity of food. I miss having an Islands Restaurant in Vegas, so when the chance came to eat here, I took it. My hubby, brother, and I had just completed the Temecula Half Marathon and what better way to celebrate than with a big burger. We were seated immediately, which was great since our legs were screaming. Ashley was our server and she was attentive throughout our stay, making sure our drinks were topped up and we had everything we needed. My husband was happy since they were showing the 49er game and there are multiple screens throughout the restaurant so you can watch all the different games in action while you eat. I went with my favorite Hula Burger with sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo, with onion rings for my side. This really hit the spot after running up and down the hills of the vineyards. I'm so glad that there is an Islands in Temecula so I can get my fix whenever I'm in town. read more

Sports were playing on many TVs so you can see no matter where you're sitting. I was also able to customize my burger. The onion rings were huge but lacked flavor. We've been going to Islands regularly over a year, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently good, reasonably priced, and they're always happy to customize dishes exactly how we like them. Our usual order is the turkey burger in a lettuce wrap with sweet potato fries on the side -- it's always perfect. We're big fans of their mai tais too -- easily one of the best around! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, especially when we sit in the bar area at one of our favorite tables. Special shout-out to our favorite server, Sara! She's always friendly, knows exactly what we like, and makes every visit feel like coming home. Just had a poor experience this evening - came in for dinner with the wife, and I was feeling a little under the weather, so soup and juice sounded great. Both of which had "unlimited refills," says the waiter. managed to get our food, and it wasn't poor, just ok. She managed to forget that the wife ordered an alcoholic beverage, but we did end up getting it only 5 minutes late or so after she told us that her manager told her it was for one of her tables and she had forgotten it - her words, not mine. I drank my cranberry juice and tortilla soup, finished them both, and set them on the end of the table. Both the wife and I finished our food and were presented with a check. I then asked if I could have a fresh bowl of soup to bring home, as I had paid nearly $15 for it. I was presented with a to-go box. went the whole dinner and didn't get a single refill. We stayed there for 45 minutes to 1 hour. $88 for subar food and bottom end service. a childhood gem that I thought I needed - not sure I'll be back to this location again. never even got a water refill. read more

This is always the case so we can see this is a consistent MO for this place. That comes down to training and culture, excellence! The food is also full of fresh ingredients and put together with care, the first anyone can manage, the second really takes pride in your work to manage. The service on this particular visit was great but I have never had bad service here and so again, training and culture. Went there with my family for dinner. I ordered the north shore tacos and my first bite I felt a sharp thing. It was a chicken bone. I didn't want to eat after that but I thought I could drink my plain tea while my family finished eating. The waitress offered to get me a refill of tea and when she came back I took a drink and had an allergic reaction because instead of the plain tea she brought passion fruit and I had to down Benadryl and now I had enough and called the manager over and he acted like I was not telling the truth about the tea even though my daughter and husband had tasted it after my reaction and agreed it was fruit and not plain. My husband and I came in to check out this location of Islands. The overall inside of the building looks clean and nicely kept. Everyone was very friendly which is what saved this review. We ordered takeout through their takeout window towards the back. We both ordered the Kaleui Burger (I think that's how you spell it), which came with fries. The gentleman taking our order was very friendly throughout the whole ordering process and even offered us free drinks while we waited for our order. They do provide a military discount so our total was $35; which is very decent considering how much the price of a burger in a restaurant has gone up. They packed ample ketchup and napkins with the order. Everyone was smiling and greeting throughout the process. The Food: The Island fries were super super salty. I'm not a fan of alot of salt to begin with but this was excessive. Even with adding the ketchup, they were still overly salty. The burger although it was listed as a peppered burger was just an overwhelming amount of pepper and no real seasoning. My husband tried to eat the fries and burger together with the hopes that they would offset each other. The fried onions on the burger were pretty good although they too were fried in pepper and the tomato was fresh. It also came with pepper jack cheese and spicy mayo which was okay. Overall I was disappointed with the flavors but the portion sizes were good. Maybe it was an off day. Our server was there rather quickly to take our drink and food order. I had a small bowl of Chicken Tortilla Soup and a China Coast Salad. Absolutely amazing! The soup was perfect on a cool evening and the salad with mandarin oranges , edamame, water chestnuts, chicken and greens with sesame dressing was very refreshing and tasty! Speed of Service-4- Food seemed to take a while considering there were only a few folks there. Food-4-I have been eating at Islands since they opened and although it looks the same the flavor has diminished a little. Still a good meal, just used to be a great one. I've never had an issue with our server when coming to the Temecula Islands restaurant. The food itself was delicious. The way you ask for your food is the way they bring it out. My burger was ordered medium well and that's how I received it. The fries were also good. We got an order of regular fries and one of truffle fries. Our fountain drinks were on point.
