My personal experiences from my last visit, service from bartender named Paige has ruined it for many regulars, to include myself. Four Reviews have been made with FOUR regulars names and last initials to uplift her, which raises eyebrows. At times, once the shift is over for her she'll sit at the counter and drink, in which words start flowing about everyone in that place. Lots of the regulars decided to walk away from this place due to this behavior. As of today, August 8th 2026, my wife and I (retired 3x combat, decorated Marine, wife, RN over 20 years, were kicked out and told we were 86 because our friendships with others who aren't welcome there). We decided to leave. Wife and I decided to stopped coming due to this bartender. She went out of her way from her job at this establishment to call and message my wife to make rumors about me drinking there. As a worker you have to stick to your job and stay in your lane. The service is disgusting and the bathrooms are horrible. Don (owner) yells and uses cuss words at the cooks and bartenders, Alysha, Veronika, and Aracely would constantly come out of the back office crying trying to service us with tears down their eyes after Don yelled at them. This isn't the military, what a shame to see someone who "served" treat civilians like garbage due to this beliefs. He drops the "F" word every other sentence and treats the staff like garbage as if that's ok. This isn't a place you want to come and visit, it's a shame someone who calls himself a "veteran" doesn't know how to handle real life. Also, he runs to stater brothers to get supplies as it SHOULDNT be allowed. As you can see pictures of his staff walking in with a cart full of beer. He'll go get bread, steaks, veggies, alcohol, as if it's okay. This should not be allowed from an establishment. He'll go get beer then charge it at his price! I stopped here on a Friday afternoon on a roadtrip. While the service was friendly and quick, there wasn't anything that would draw me back again. My beer (a draft budlight) was flat and just not worth the price. The Mac salad was fine, but nothing special. We had stopped here because the online menu offered a vegetarian burger, but I was told that menu is out of date. Again, nothing overtly bad here, just nothing I'd go out of my way for. read more

Best damn chicken wings EVER!!! Space Dust on tap and a full service bar as well as about ten more draft beers. Friendly and personable staff. What more could you possibly need. I will say the food was pretty good. They did have a lot of options, considering it is a bar mostly. Looks like from what I could see.They have specials certain days of the week. I will say the service wasn't great. The lady that I had. She wasn't very attentive to any of the guest.She kinda seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. Just kinda like a stanky attitude with my two guy friends and then most of the time it took long to get what we needed because no one was paying attention; checking in. I will say that the seats outside are dirty. Tables didn't seem to be wiped down very well. The drinking prices are decent. I could honestly save myself the trouble and go somewhere else. When I tell you sky box is the place to be I mean it. I been going to my local bar for years now. The drinks and food is also on point. My favorites are chicken Caesar salad, calamari, Bloody Mary with Tito's, and for beer Mango Hef When I have family visiting I always take them there to have drinks and food, and they always have a good time. Customer service from the bartenders is always pleasant. I know the owner Don and he always try's to have different special to get people in, but in my opinion the marketing could pose to be better. Maybe incorporate more happy hour options So as long as I'm living in the area I will continue and recommend everyone check skybox out. I've been living in the area for over 20yrs now and have been to the Skybox off and on since. My first experience way back in the day was that it was a nice local tavern for drinks and dinner. Like I said been there off and on and then about 3 yrs ago my son stopped and picked up some hot wings to go. When he open them up you could smell that the chicken was already bad. You could smell how rancid they were even after being cooked. Haven't gone back since until today. I read the reviews and how good they were so I'm figuring new management. I figured I'd give it another try. I ordered the fish and chips to go. When I got home I opened the box and it had 3 pieces of fish that were just a little bit bigger than egg rolls. The fish ( I'm hoping it was fish) was a bit to mushy for me. Never had mushy fish and chips. Then the fish fell out of the batter, never had that either. I didn't have any drinks so can't comment on that. I will be driving a bit farther next time I'm in the mood for fish and chips. read more

Great for lunch and happy hour. Better food than you'd expect from a "dive bar". Really is a restaurant with a bar despite the the more bar like atmosphere. Varied and solid menu. Tri-tip Dip and Po'boy are really good. Tater tots are exceptional. Rotating taps on beers. Full bar. Service is a highlight. They are open for both take out and dine in. Children are welcome inside since they are also a grill besides being a tavern. They have a HUGE menu with a wide variety so you can't really go wrong eating here. The items I had and recommend are the meatball sliders, fish tacos and carne asada fries. I've been here a couple of times but the first time I heard of it I thought it was going to be a nice chill somewhat upscale lounge. Well it's not but that's ok but what it's just a local hangout bar that has karaoke. I saw a sign as you walk in that says no colors and no cuts. My homegirl asked me what that sign means and I told her I think motorcycle clubs/gangs may come here. Once I came during lunch and it wasn't busy and everything was cool including the food and my beer. Then I came on a karaoke night and the place was jammed packed there were even two very young kids singing. I'm not a parent but I wouldn't have my kids in a bar so anyway. My homegirl and I ordered some food and drinks. My food was good and my homegirl said hers was also good. After we ate we left and went to The Donut Bar before they closed at 10pm. Then we went back to The Skybox and before we could even walk in good enough a fight broke out!!! I was thinking I didn't have to pay to see a fight like everyone else on fight night. Anyway it was unfortunate that happened but the Murrieta Police never showed up. So I most likely will not be coming back. read more

Food and staff is always great this visit... except for who we believe is the GM or owner who is the least professional person at this establishment. He was being very rude to the staff in the back and it honestly came off racist because he changed his demeanor completely with the caucasian staff. Especially with everything going on during these times... I felt I needed to say something but my husband said to stay out of it. He was very rude to us as well did not greet us but he greeted every other customer. He saw us standing there for a minute didnt even acknowledged us. He later was having a conversation with a customer and was very unprofessional speaking badly about another person. He was cursing and sounded drunk.
