We tried the new restaurant inside the Atlantis. We tried the Duck Bao and found it had a strong 5 spice taste. We ate 2 out of 3. The tempura shrimp was excellent. We also had the Harlow Shrimp which was very good. The Spring Rolls were over cooked. We found the prices a little higher than they should be. The 4 items were $52+. With only water. We just decided to try this new restaurant in the Atlantis because we love the seafood restaurant upstairs over the walkway. The restaurant looks nice and the staff was nice, attentive and accommodating. We had Yakitori- chicken skewers and pork & shrimp soy mai for appetizers. The chicken skewers had a good flavor but the soy mai had no flavor at all. Not even with the dipping sauce. For entrées we tried the Korean spiced beef short ribs and these were not bad but not great. The roasted Duck Ramen was just ok. The crispy pork chop has a good flavor but nothing we would order again. I did really like the spicy chicken ramen and on its own I would give 4 stars. The broth is absolutely delicious and they add in a lot of delicious ingredients. Also the portion is definitely enough for a dinner and a lunch! read more

I am so happy that Red Bloom exists. Getting some fluffy steamed buns is one of the highlights in Asian cuisine, and Red Bloom does it justice. My wife and I kinda jumped around the menu, ordering some BBQ pork buns, the fried peppers, and a bowl of ramen. What we learned is that the fried peppers are meant for a larger table of people who can handle the occasional fiery pepper, not just two people. The ramen is amazing, but about all you need to order, even if you're splitting. But what we really took away is that the next time we visit, we're just ordering several plates of the steamed buns, because that is a truly special meal. Our service was fine, and we were able to order a few novelty cocktails. I had my first taste of Japenese whiskey, which was pretty good. A pricey dinner in the end, but well worth it. read more

Pricey for the quality. The shrimp dumplings (ha gow) had a starchy skin. It was a bit disconcerting to bite into what I expected to be rice wrapper chewy to find a powdery fall apart type of texture. We ordered: whole peking duck, dandan noodles, siu mai, ha gow, wor wonton soup, and some dessert. Siu mai was good. Tasted normal. The dandan noodles were off. The wonton soup was decent. Overall experience of the decor and service was excellent. However, not very authentic Chinese food. I expect a bit more from the price point. read more

The soups and dim sum here are very good. There service is the best. I crave this place a lot. We have tried the ramens, wonton soups, and a lot of the dim sums and buns. There was one of the shrimp dim sums that I would not recommend, but everything else is great. The curry tofu ramen was very very good. read more

I was very excited to try this new Asian restaurant at Atlantis. I was a little disappointed. I ordered Char Sieu Bow (BBQ pork buns), which IMHO were very good. I also ordered Spicy Miso ramen, which I wish that I could've like more but for two reasons missed the mark. 1)Presentation - In every ramen restaurant I've ever eaten at, the ramen bowl was a work of art. This ramen bowl not so much. I had to dig the items out of the broth to take pictures 2)The taste was very good, but I felt that the spicyness was more from the habanero/serrano peppers in liberal use than an Asian ingredient. Each of the items in the ramen was nicely done, the char sieu, the soft boiled egg, the ramen itself, and it tasted good, it just wasn't a feast for the eyes. Not your typical dim sum or asian dining.. tries to be a fancy higher end restaurant since it is inside a casino. Food tasted okay, not anything fantastic. Pricing was kinda extreme. I stayed at the Atlantis Hotel for 2 1/2 weeks, getting takeout from Red Bloom multiple times. Everything was delicious!

First time here everything we ordered was made fresh which is good but pricing was a bit too high for something you could get at a regular pho restaurant. Kimchi fried rice was bomb. A pork belly ramen good portion according to my sister it was good. Salt and pepper chicken wings were so good and pho was okay. Went there around 8:30-9ish I believe and customer service was bomb our server was Julio he was so attentive so thank you red bloom for a great first experience. read more

Food is very bland and use generic store bought teriyaki sauce for most of the dishes. I've been wanting to try Red Bloom since it opened and I finally went on a Tuesday night and we got seated immediately and the service was great! Our waitresses name was Luisa and she was quick, tentative and so sweet. The restaurant is nice inside, it all fits the same theme. We got the boneless braised short rib bao buns, the chicken ramen and the szechuan chicken. I enjoyed the chicken dish, it was pretty spicy and had good flavor and the bao buns were good, but slightly bland and a small serving for the price. Neither me or my boyfriend enjoyed the ramen, the yakitori chicken in the ramen was good, but you can order just the chicken. The ramen wasn't gross, but it was just bland; we ended up setting it aside and eating the other dishes instead. While the chicken was really good and the bao buns were good, the total with tip came out to around $70. I don't think any of the dishes were impressive enough to be as expensive as they were, that may be because it is in a casino, but we left thinking about some of our other favorite asain restaurants in Reno... where we could get a very similar chicken dish, appetizers and another entree for around $45. It was a fun date night because of the location and it feels nicer than some other asain restaurants, but overall I don't think I'd return. read more

The Red Bloom is a awesome place to eat. Originally came to eat a specific meal that was being advertised on the pictures in the casino and come to find out the restaurant was false advertising. I complained about it to the waiter and she called the chef. Chef mike came over and explained the reason behind that which was very understanding. He seen how disappointed I was and offered to make that specific dish for me at least try is what he said. Let me tell you it was delicious and actually look better than the dish that was on the picture. It ended up being free also. In search of a good dim sum restaurant. Heard about this place, so thought we would try it out. We had the potstickers which were good. The tempura prawn were very good, light and crispy. Also had the shrimp and pork siu mai which were also very good. All came with dipping sauce which we loved. The pork belly bao buns were light and yummy also. Tried the dan dan noodles with are pretty spicy and very yummy. Overall, we will be going back when craving some dim sum and dan dan. We have eaten here three times, I so want to enjoy their food, but this last time June 12, the food was awful! I do like their dumplings, we also had the bbq pork bums, so much dough hardly any filling! We ordered the wonton soup with added noodles, let me say, I am an excellent cook, I know flavor and I sure Know when there is no flavor! What is wrong with adding chicken stock or bullion to the broth, it tasted like nothing, dish water! We couldn't eat it, it was like eating nothing, no flavor! Ordered half Peking duck and beef chow fun for takeout. The portion of duck was ridiculously small for the price and pretty fatty. On the other hand, the beef chow fun was delicious, though I'm not sure it's worth the price. When I went, there was only one party in the restaurant but I still had to wait a while to get my order and pay for it. I did think it was a nice little space but I'm not sure that I would come here again. read more

There are many great restaurants in the Atlantis but sometimes I like a little different thing and so I go to the red bloom. however, I will not be going back. Half the items on the menu are not prepared the same way two times in a row. often my to go order is incomplete or not what I ordered at all. Today I literally watched the girl write down my complete order and then she went to the computer and only typed in half of it and anytime you order something to go. They will tell you it is 15 to 20 minutes but every time it is 35 to 45 minutes do not go there! do not patronize this restaurant! read more

We had a reservation for 11 people and they prepared three small tables of two together and placed 11 place settings on it. The manager was very ignorant as it took three conversations to make her realize the issue. The food is nowhere near what an authentic Chinese cuisine is. They are an overpriced Chinese fast food. I know they just recently opened, however, at 25% capacity I expected a bit more. It should not take 50 minutes for Pho anywhere, especially fully staffed with less patrons. Great food with phenomenal service from Phoi, our server. Servings are pretty substantial and we had to take away a doggie bag. We first learnt of Red Bloom on an ad while in the airport so we were puzzled not to see it on the map provided by the hotel for check-in. Good thing I saw a man in a Red Bloom uniform pass us by with a cart and that the room key had the restaurant ad. Apparently it's only been open for half a year. I've lived in China so while not a lot of food outside of China are really authentic because they adapt it to the tastes of the population, the food here was delicious if just taken as is. Phoi was very efficient, polite and engaging so it helped to make the review a five-star one instead of just four stars. I wanted to get dessert but was too full so I might have to come back another time just for the mochi trio, crispy sesame balls, jasmine rice pudding, lychee mousse cake, or candied ginger ice cream. read more

Wow! We were excited for a new adventure and not quite what we expected after all the great reviews. Very misleading as this is not dim sum. What they called dim sum was over cooked and reminded me of the rubber bands I used back when I had a paper route. I've traveled all over Asia and we can't get it right over here. Don't get the dan dan noodles, because they reminded me of when we made pasta with cheese and butter for the kids, but they threw maybe two tablespoons of meat, 1 tablespoon of onions and some beef bullion underneath the piles of noodles. The wife did like the sea bass and my clients said the Yakitori Chicken and and the Ramon were just okay. Great location and atmosphere! The experience did not start well the receptionist was not very kind or remotely even interested on giving a great experience! She was rude and not very welcoming! The food needs improvement, for starters the Somali was not even close to the taste and was soggy when it was presented. The sauces they used on the sea bass, duck and was pretty bad and did not go with the dish! They need to hire a better Chinese chef that knows how to put the menus together and present more traditional experience. Went to Red Bloom for a couple friends birthdays. The food was amazing. We had the pork bun appetizer, four was enough to share between 6 ladies. Then we all shared the sea bass, salmon, dan dan noodles and the pea shoots. They also gave us a sample of some items coming to their menu soon, pork fried rice and chicken chow mien. The fish was perfectly cooked and the sauces complimented them well. The dan dan noodles were crazy good, I had never had them before but my friend who makes them at home couldn't get enough! All 6 of us absolutely loved the pea shoots, simply prepared with garlic. But they were cooked perfectly al dente. The new items were also good, the pork fried rice was busting with fresh veggies and yummy pork whereas the chicken chow mien was the best I've ever had. The price wasn't bad at all. Overall, underwhelmed. Where's the flavor?? We ordered a noodle dish "Dan Dan noodles" that the waiter warned us was VERY spicy, in fact it was noted as being the spiciest on the menu. It wasn't even close to being hot however it did have the most flavor of everything we ordered and we ordered damn near every appetizer, nearly all the Bao Buns, Pho and a large plate. I just feel like there was an overwhelming lack of flavor, spices and complexity in the food that I had hoped for. The best dish was the soft shell crab Bao Bun. I'll go bad to them them a second try but if they don't kick up the flavor I won't return. read more
