First time here since we moved to Windsor back in January and I was impressed with the quality and selection of Asian fusion BBQ. I got the Char Siu (Chinese roast pork) extra crispy pieces and it did not disappoint. Also tried the 18 hour brisket and it was melt in your mouth awesome. The homemade BBQ sauce they served on the side had a nice tang to it. We got 2 sides, mac salad and corn bread. The mac salad was very Hawaiian style which is my preference. We're looking forward to coming back to try the other goodies on the menu soon! read more

The BBQ is the real deal!!!! Good meat, good smoke, good sauce. No bagged and reheated pulled pork from some restaurant supply, here. This was my first visit and I got the pulled pork sandwich. They actually have chunks of smoked pork that they break up by hand to give a nice chunky texture. The meat is then sauced and, if desired, topped with a little slaw. I used 3 or 4 paper towels to get through the sandwich. Seriously! Everything is homemade, including the great potato salad I had with my sandwich. This place is really good! I've been here twice now, and both times I have been in, one was eat in and one take out-- great food and service both times. I've tried the chicken and the brisket and both were good and flavorful. Their sides setup is nice too. I tried a green salad, they had a good selection of toppings and everything was really fresh. I have to admit that I was impressed. I had zero expectations going into this place. The food was all very fresh and had good flavor. I'll definitely be going back. Wow! My first time there and wow! My buddy kept talking about this place and so I finally checked it out and had the ribs and chicken with cornbread and slaw. It was awesome! The flavors were plentiful, the sauces was fantastic and the meat was perfectly smoked and finished to the point of falling off of the bone. Fabulous! Add to that the personal customer service from the owner and ridiculously low prices and yup, I'll be back. You could bring a family of 6 and pig out for about $50 or less. Unreal! read more

I was working in Windsor and needed to find a place to eat where they served protein and salad and found this little gem! The owner was so friendly and helpful and even suggested a low calorie salad dressing. I ordered a salad with Teriyaki chicken. First of all, the salad had so many yummy vegies, crisp lettace and a ton of chicken. I actually could barely finish it. The price was amazing as well. While I was in there it seemed that the owner knew most of the patrons. In other words, the same people must be coming in day after day. Thats how I gauge whether the food is consistent. Others have commented on how friendly the owner and staff are and how clean this restaurant is, so I won't go into that except to relate the owner's genuine interest in my experience. BBQ? Ah, I don't know. I've had better BBQ, but the quality of the meat and preparation were excellent, just not the best BBQ in the area. Prices are more than reasonable. They are fantastic! It was so nice to pay only $1.29 for a fountain drink when so many other places are charging twice that. So the four stars come from five for the service and experience, and three for the food. We stopped in on impulse to try this new place in Windsor. Ordered a rack of ribs with two sides which cost under $20! This summer we tried ribs in a few cities we visited. The worst were in Lone Pine which is supposed to be cowboy country. The best, in Windsor, suburbia CA. We enjoyed the homemade mac and coleslaw, and look forward to tasting their BBQ chicken plates. We stopped in to check out Windsor's new Red Bee BBQ today. The owner cheerfully greeted us & gave us a little sample of some of the meat that is on the menu. Sold!That gesture wins my husband over every time! Hubby ordered the brisket with a side of slaw, and I had the ribs with a generous portion of salad. We shared a 2nd side of baked beans also included. The homemade Asian infused BBQ sauce was delicious with the ribs. All in all we went in hungry & left very full! If you're in Windsor and looking for a delicious inexpensive meal, this is the place. The best BBQ you'll ever taste. Consistently moist and tender, never dry. It comes with the requisite sides: beans, mac salad, cole slaw, cornbread, etc. All delicious, on a par with the meat. The best thing about Red Bee, though, is the owner. He's always there, greeting you with a smile and a free sample. I feel very fortunate to have this little gem here in my home town. What an awesome change of pace!! The food here has exceeded my expectations and has the service as well. The girls that serve the food are very pleasant & professional in a world where work ethics has fallen by the wayside. I commend the owners for training their workers so well!! They are also very nice people. As for the food, the meat is tender & juicy, and is wonderful tasting, while the BBQ sauce has quite a unique taste, and makes a great addition to the meat. I feel very fortunate to work for this place and I am not coming from a biased state of mind. Our quality of food is great for the prices we have. I eat the food there every shift and even when I'm not working my family loves this place so sometimes we order from there for dinner and everyone loves It! The owner is there almost everyday to ensure everything is done properly and to help if needed since it has only been open for about 2 months. Everyone is well trained and we give out great customer service I recommend this place to everyone because it is absolutely amazing!
