My family loves these donuts! I once got warm donut holes and they blew my mind! 100% satisfied!

Recently moving here, I've been looking for a donut shop to go to. This place has delicious donuts and interesting options to choose from. Its easy to find and has plenty of parking in the plaza it's located in. When I entered the store I was also helped immediately and asked what I wanted. The only problem I had was the cashier who helped us answered the phone at the beginning of us checking out. She also was reaching over the other cash register to us, while that cashier was helping another customer, to get our payment. After she got the signed receipt, she walked into the back without handing us our box of donuts. The other cashier had to apologize and hand us the box. I love their donuts and that it is close to my neighborhood, but just answering the phone and reaching over a customer made us uncomfortable and was rude. read more

Great donuts, good breakfast sandwiches, and fast service. We stopped in on a Thursday morning around 9:30, and there was a steady stream of customers. This is definitely a no-frills type of place. We ordered bagel breakfast sandwiches, which were deliciously classic and tasty, and 6 donuts (chocolate raised, custard filled, maple long john, buttermilk bar, apple fritter). Custard filled didn't have as much filling as I prefer, but the raised dough is really fluffy and tasty. Do not miss the Buttermilk Bar -- it was out of this world. Coffee was just mediocre. Just a note (didn't bother me but some people might be put off): Credit card purchases have a $.50 extra charge, and there are up-charges for liquid cream for the coffee, and probably condiments too. read more

Best Apple Fritters I've had in decades. People are friendly and quick putting orders together. YUM YUM.

We go there often when we come to Temecula to visit family. The croissant sandwiches are a must. Last week we had the tuna sandwich as well and I couldn't find anything wrong with it. The donuts are tasty but nothing spectacular that sets them apart from other donut shops. We definitely go here for the sandwiches more than the donuts. read more

They used to be great but I think new owners have taken over in the last couple of years and the quality has slowly gone down, they were still better than the others around here but this morning has finished me with them. I usually get only six at a time but today decided to get a dozen. When I got them home I noticed how tightly they were packed in the box. I used to work in a donut shop so I know a little about the process. These were over "proofed', not cooked at the correct time so they swell up and are harder to get done enough in the centers. They had raw dough in them and there was hardly no hole which meant they were bloated. They were terrible but with Biden's gas hike I decided to not take them back. BEST DONUTS IN TOWN. I hate to write a review to spread the secret... but, no joke, nothing compares to their buttermilk bars, or their blueberry glazed cake donut, or their apple fritter, or their maple bacon bars, or their pink frosted cake donut, or their ... well, pretty much everything. Haven't tried a donut there that I haven't liked. Gotta get there early or the best goods sell out. I lived in Encinitas for over a year near VGs (super famous donut shop) and they literally can't hold a candle to Rancho Donuts. I snub my nose at donuts from other shops since I know I'll just taste disappointment because they aren't from Rancho. Do yourself a favor and do the same, you won't regret it. read more

Great Donuts !!! My sister in law and I stopped here on our way to Mountain High this morning., and boy are we glad we did. Talk about freshness! wow the old fashion donut was so fresh , it just melted in my mouth. I thought they gave me the wrong one because an old fashioned is usually hard and crunchy on the outside. (Snacked 4/04/12 M @ 11am): Your last refuge of food before you start down the path of wine tasting heaven! A friend and I planned a Temecula wine tasting for over a month, and the day finally arrived. But before we ventured down the road of miniature libations one ounce at a time, we needed to get something in us to help absorb the wine. And so, we were led to Rancho Donuts. This was your standard donut shop with display cases whoring its wares, but the thing that really caught our attention was the wall covered with myriad winning lotto tickets. Mind you, the biggest jackpot in Mega Super Lotto history of close to $700 million dollars was won just days before, but hey, both of us can still use a million dollars in our pockets! After that nonsense was over, we got serious and selected our respective donuts. I'm a huge apple fritter fan, so I was happy to see that they had some ($1.50). I can't recall what my friend got. I swear, this apple fritter was the monster of all apple fritters I've ever eaten in my life...and it kills me that I somehow forgot to take a picture of this Chernobyl-sized fried food! It literally was the size of my face if not larger! And as I'm sure many of you know, an apple fritter is one of the worst donuts you can eat based on its oil content. Fuck that; give me the flippin' fritter! We decided to eat our 'nuts there before heading off. My fritter was warm, had the right amount of crispness and crunchiness, with the inside moist enough as steam lifted off each exposed apple chunk bite after bite after bit. And the best part, although you can never get away from all the oil it takes to make these babies (even tiny pocket squirts from time-to-time), the outside was barely oily. How is that possible!? Yeah, I thought about it for a moment, but I was too busy devouring the fritter to give it much thought afterwards. Before I knew it, I had eaten the whole thing and hardly a mess was left - a true gift, I must say. Now, I was ready for some nectar of the Gods! The service was good as the lone employee was the female behind the counter. It was evident that her English wasn't perfect, but who cares...I pointed, she acknowledged, I confirmed, she picked and handed to me, I paid, we both happy. Transaction complete! Parking is ample since the place was park of an entire outdoor shopping mall. Overall, you really can't mess-up a donut, or an apple fritter for that matter. Granted I've hand some less than desirable fritters in my time, but it still does the job, and only a fool would quibble over a donut, right!? Rancho Donuts was exactly what we needed. I found complete value as noted by the price I quoted above (total bill was around $1.50; no tip), but did I mention how big it was!? Honestly, the same could be said for other donuts. The atmosphere is your typical donut shop with no frills and several tables and chairs. If you need a fancy place to sell donuts, there's definitely something wrong then. Attire is casual, so come in naked if all I care; it's a donut shop! I will have to dock then a full star because they don't take my credit card (cash only business) of choice...AMEX! read more

Really damn good donuts. For people concerned with the 50 cent surcharge on credit card orders under 20 dollars stop being stupid. They get charged a fee for every order. So in order to break even they charge a fee. That's how life works. They're just nice enough to tell u they're charging you. Not sketchy at all. You want to see sketchy come to where I live. I can show you sketchy. I just got 4 donuts for 3.90. Bring a 5 dollar bill. No one should ever eat more than 2 donuts in a week anyway read more

Pro: Great donuts. Con: Unless you're to pay a possibly illegal transaction surcharge, use cash. Literally, THE best donuts I have ever had. I don't know what kind of magic voodoo crack they put in their dough. It's such a tender, perfectly soft texture, curiously exceptional depth of flavor and measured consistency moisture level in the dough. By Temecula standards, they aren't in a very good part of town. I wish they had a location further south where there's a major donut hole (yeah, I just made that pun)--not a single donut shop on Temecula Parkway. Bottom line, their donuts are exceptional. It's a shame about the location, the kind of creepy people who hang out around that strip mall and that questionable surcharge on debit/credit purchases. read more

Wow. Simply - wow! I came in a couple of days ago as wifey asked for donuts on my birthday (haha), and I was in the area, so I thought, why not, let's give it a shot (and I wasn't up for overpriced Entenmann's from the grocery store). Bought half a dozen of her favorites (2 maple bars, 2 glazed twists, 2 regular glazed donuts). OMG - best donuts I have had so far! Personally, I like these better than Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kreme! If you're in the area, give them a try - they're well worth their (inexpensive) money. Definitely 5 stars. My husband hasn't been satisfied with a glazed donut since his childhood days in Quincy, MA when Dunkin Donuts made their ORIGINAL donuts (they are not as good now). When he bit into the Rancho glazed he smiled and said, "That's the closet I've had to the original Dunkin glazed I had as a kid". Got some fancy bacon and cereal topped donuts now, but I think that ups the price so half a dozen "fancy" donuts costs $10.50. After eating my first donut in the car on the way home though I could feel a queasy heavy feeling. I heat up my donuts in the microwave for 10-20 secs, and it just became a greasier, heavier ball of dough. I don't think they're fluffy and light for yeast donuts.
