Donut Star is a cute little donut shop hiding in a strip mall amongst other businesses, but it isn't hard to find. I needed a sweet treat and stopped by for a donut so I grabbed the cinnamon twist everybody seems to love. I can see why people love this! The donut was super soft and fluffy, perfectly sweet, and had JUST enough cinnamon. Exactly what I needed! They had a nice selection of other donuts too but I only grabbed one this time. When I walked in the store was empty but a really nice lady quickly came out from the back room to help me. Great fresh donut and friendly service! I'm in the area about once a month and will be sure to stop by another time when I am here. read more

A very good glaze donut at this friendly mom and pop pastry shop. I'll be back for the glazed donuts. It's plump, pillow soft and just the right amount of glaze for me. (see pic) But don't eat it in the car, bring it home and utilize that microwave. Put one in the microwave for a few seconds and after your first bite, you'll be putting another one in the microwave, too. - and if I didn't have to share (gladly of course) I would have done it a third time ;) I'm sure everyone has their favorite(s) item but, if you luv a good glazed ... get this one. based on just the glazed donuts I'm giving them 5 stars. husband actually went in and got them for me, so i can't say first-hand how the customer service rated. husband said staff was nice. the donuts completely satiated a sweet tooth/pastry craving i had. i was sad that we could only get three of them as it was later in the day when husband had bought them. sorry no photo this time. read more

The chocolate with sprinkles is never available unless you come here before 10 am. Service is the Asian lady and sometimes her daughter, I think. So be patient. Lots of parking out front. It's right next to domino pizza. So get breakfast and lunch! 4 tables to sit inside the shop. Ambience is austere. Glass windows for the scenery of the Starbucks across the street. The hubby and I wanted something sweet and we were looking thru Yelp & found Donuts star located here in Lake Elsinore California. I'm not a huge donut fan but the hubby likes them so we decided too give it a try. I must say, that that's one of the best Apple fritter Donuts that I have ever had!! I love how it's thin and how it did not have too much dough! The ratio of donut to the glaze was perfect!! Sadly I didn't even get pictures of the other Donuts because we ate them so fast! Lol. The owner was the sweetest lady ever! I called ahead if I could go in last minute for a ham and cheese croissant and she had them ready for me when I walked in 10 mins before closing time. Then when I told her I drove from Perris, she added a couple of free donuts! I would definitely come back again and recommend to others! read more

The food is always freshly made. The service is welcoming. The owner I call her mom because she always takes care of me and my family whenever we're in the area for donuts before or after work. I'm so happy I found this little donut shop by my house. Although, I'm not a huge donut fan because it's too sugary for me, I do love donut holes. I've been here a few times and have not been disappointed. The location is very convenient for me since it's on the way home. It's located in the Stater Brothers plaza in the corner next to the Dominos Pizza. The girl that's behind the counter is always friendly and answers all my questions. The donut holes are very tasty and my fiance says the donuts are good. They have a good size boba menu and the boba balls are the perfect texture. They are not too soft and not too hard - the perfect amount of chewiness. I love the Thai Tea and the Cookies N Cream. I will be frequenting here more often since it's so convenient to buy gerorices and then walk over for a little snack. read more

Great local family business, best dough nuts around! Favorites are the Apple fritters, French coolers (weekends), chocolate bars, and the filled doughnuts, can't go wrong with any of them. They also sell thrifty ice cream which has been nice during hot days. read more

Here on vacation from the Midwest and came a cross this place, WOW!! the donuts where the best I've ever had better that Krispy creme. Light, fluffy, huge variety greatest donuts I've ever had. Haven't been here for 7 years used to come here every week as a teen. Stropped by last week same lady that used to be there 12 years ago and she remembered me. Like WTH how tf does that lady remember me. Great donuts, coffe, and best ice cream Sandwich in town. Also the lady owner loves kids and if you a consistent customer she will remember you. read more

Stopped here to pick up some donuts on the way home. It was a Sunday morning and they were pretty busy. I got a dozen donuts for about $14. The donuts tasted fresh and they had a good variety. They also offer a variety of drinks and other baked goods like croissants. They have a seating area inside as well. Will be back to try their croissants and get more donuts! read more

I just went this morning because I was craving a donut so bad. They did not disappoint one bit and completely satisfied my craving. They have custard creme and whipped cream filled donuts!
