Variety of donuts
Monica J.

I was warmly greeted and helped within seconds. Huge variety of donuts at a decent competitive price. They also give a bakers dozen! Donuts are placed on a flat long box, not in in a small box like most donut shops do when a dozen is purchased. This donut shop has ample parking and you should give it a try. They do not disappoint!!

Been coming here since they first open. Love the donuts because they're soft and fluffy and they have the best viet coffee in town. Service is always friendly and fast. Clean and always organized too. Try it once and you'll definitely be back for more

Their ube mochi donut is deliiiicccciiiooous, my babies favorite donut was the chocolate twist! Tried the Vietnamese coffee and it hit my coffee loving heart right on the spot! Thank you so much!

The anticipated opening of the new donut shop. Came here on a Saturday around 10am, the line was out the door. Good selection, even have cronuts. My order was a chocolate bar. It was a little too dense for my liking. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars. They take cash and cards.

I had my first experience yesterday at Hills Donuts. The lady at the counter was helpful because I didn't know what I wanted. She suggested mochi because it was a top seller. I bought one of each Mochi, an apple fritter and a raspberry filled. I took them home and pulled them out after dinner. The family universally agreed that the Mochi was great. Each had their own twist on flavor but were lovely. I loved the apple fritter, and the raspberry filled was just okay. Not great, because of the lower quality filling. As a bonus, the lady tossed in a double chocolate and it was fantastic. This will become a regular stop now.

We so desperately needed a good donut shop in our area after another shop closed which my family never cared for. It was awesome to learn that Hills Donuts was having their grand opening today, Feb. 19th, 2024. I drove up after work and saw a long line queued outside waiting patiently to move inside. Thankfully, the shop was well staffed in anticipation of it being a hectic grand opening morning being a Holiday weekend and closed schools. I decided to go wait in the line that had now shortened to just outside the doorway of this business. The staff was both efficient and patient with every patron trying to decide which eye appealing and delicious looking doughnuts, mochi nuts, croissants (plain and filled), cronuts, boba teas, coffee and other beverages to choose from. I finally made my way to the front of the queue. My concerns that they would have very little to choose from evaporated in an instant. The only doughnut I overheard them telling the customer in front of me they were out of the maple bars. Prior to entering , my game plan was to choose a wide assortment of different types of their offerings so I could try them with my family and provide feedback in this review. My personal criteria for doughnuts are being light and airy (yeast style, I'm not partial to the "cake" doughnuts), not greasy or oily from frying the day of purchase and hopefully the day or so after. I also like to see how long a doughnut will stay fresh after the day of purchase, and how generous are the fillings. A dozen standard doughnuts are $17.99 I selected one (1) dozen doughnuts: Orange Mochinut ($2.99) Jelly Filled Doughnut (Additional Price) Sugar Doughnut; Mini Apple Fritters; Mini Cinnamon Rolls; Sugar Cronut (Additional Price) Tiger Tail (Additional Price) Glazed Twist; Chocolate Twist; Ham & Cheese Croissant ($4.99) My wife swooped in on the Orange Mochinut. After inhaling it, she advised me that it was light and airy, not oily/greasy to eat, with barely discernible orange flavored frosting. Apple fritters are another of my wife's favorites from a doughnut shop. We prefer our fritters to be light, with an adequate amount of apples dispersed in the fritter and a fritter that is not heavy or laden and over moist from too much frying oil still contained in the fritter. I'm happy to report that Hills Donuts offers two sizes of apple fritters: your normal large sized fritter and a mini version. I selected the mini version since the staff told me there was no additional up-charge compared to the full sized fritter. The same pricing applies to their mini or full sized cinnamon rolls also. I dove into the ham & cheese croissant: the pastry was light, flaky, buttery without being greasy on your fingers, and generously filled with slices of ham and cheese. The sugar doughnut was also light and airy and not the least bit oily. Day 2 Review On day two I was looking for signs of oil leaking from the doughnuts. I was unsuccessful in finding any discernible oil stains on the cardboard box. From the cutaway of the mini apples fritter, the bottom is not saturated in frying oil. I tried one of these and they were still fresh and airy on Day 2. I also tried (on Day 2) another sugar doughnut as well as a jelly filled on. The sugar doughnut was still light, soft, airy and not oily at all. The jelly filled doughnut had a generous amount of berry flavored filling and was equally light and airy on Day 2. I was very surprised that all of the doughnuts I tried on Day 2 were still reasonably fresh to bite into with none of that cloying greasy mouth feel/aftertaste of eating a fried food from a carnival or county fair. The entire staff here was very friendly, accommodating and welcoming! I truly hope that Hills Donuts gets the community support it deserves for a very long time!

Finally a donut shop in the neighborhood that actually has great customer service. Went on opening day around 9:30am and the line was long. Great to see locals supporting our community. The donuts/ham and cheese croissant and Iced Vietnamese coffee was delicious. The shop itself isn't big but there's plenty of parking. We will definitely be back.

Large selection of donuts!

The drinks were better than we had expected. The King Brûlée was the best one I have ever had. I enjoy my Thai tea on the sweeter side which was exactly what I got. I am excited to come back and try their other drinks! The inside is not that spacious but they have a good amount of seats to wait for your drink. The wait time is not long due to the workers being very speedy. You can order off a kiosk as well. Overall this is one of the best spots to get boba in Menifee. I would highly recommend!

I suppose you left that part out. I have gone here numerous times since it's opening. It is by far the most delicious boba on the planet and the staff is normally incredibly friendly. So, why do I rarely go and why the low rating??? It's because staff is so poorly trained that they do not know the menu to the point where you have a 50/50 shot of getting an incorrect order. For instance, one time I ordered a King Brûlée and ended up with a crème brûlée coffee. Upon stating the error, I was told the King Brûlée contained coffee while pointing at the menu next to the register and showing them it didn't. Today was ludicrous. I go in stating that I would like the drink with the tarp and jasmine tea and didn't know the name except it had the word "ocean" in it. The girl behind the counter asks "A Taro Ocean?" to which I say yes. I leave to find there is no tea in my drink. I return to, I swear to God, to be told that "Most of our workers don't make it with jasmine tea." Okay, so you guys make up whatever you want and you are denying that you just said the drink with jasmine tea was called a Taro Ocean. Last time I'm going. There are too many other boba joints in town for this nonsense half the time I go.

Don't Sleep on the Popcorn Chicken!…read more I usually come here for the boba because their drinks are delicious! My go-to is the brown sugar milk tea, and my son loves their strawberry smoothie with boba. BUT can we talk about how underrated their popcorn chicken is?! This time I ordered the popcorn chicken with fries, and it was SO good! I always get the garlic aioli and sweet chili sauces and dip my chicken in both. Trust me, you have to try it! Their mochi waffle is also really good! Sadly, I didn't get a picture of that one, but definitely worth ordering. The owner is always super nice, the service is great, and everything I've tried has been delicious. If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend checking it out. But also represent and support the small business! Thank you so much for being open I did not want to have to go get a coffee from McDonald's lol! Located right next to the 215, this place is wedged between a taco place and another store. The outside was busy with people eating tacos and more. Yet, the inside only had two customers. It was cutely decorated and clean. They have two kiosks you can order from or you can order with the cashier. They had a promotion going on to advertise neopets. You could get a sticker or an acrylic charm if you ordered their drinks. We ordered a milk tea and their mango tea, which was part of the promotion. We got a cute acrylic charm and then we proceeded to head back to our car. The milk tea was sweet and so was the mango tea. The downfall was the boba; it was tasteless and had a variation of sizes and consistency. Now, if I only wanted tea, this place would hit the spot. Yet, for boba, it wasn't made correctly or else it would be random sizes. I need to learn not to grab something convenient and I would rather go out of my way to get decent boba. I was very disappointed.
