See photo - we couldn't find but 3 tiny tiny tiny pcs of apple in them. Simply astonishing. They we're basically a bunch of dough with no cinnamon in it and no apples. Not worth the calories. While staying with family in the area, my husband thought it would be nice to go out one morning and bring donuts back for all of us in the house. Miss Donuts was the first place he found, so he got us an assorted box along with a bag of plain glazed donut holes. All of what he brought back were cake donuts (besides the holes), so I figured that's what they specialized in until I later saw pictures from their Yelp page. Should have known better since cake donuts are his favorite. Personally I prefer the lighter, more traditional fluffy donuts. It made me wish I would have accompanied him because I also saw they had multiple flavors of french crullers which I'm a total sucker for. Included in the box he chose was an apple fritter, one maple and one chocolate buttermilk bar (the square donuts in my picture), vanilla/chocolate/strawberry sprinkles, plain maple cake, plain chocolate cake, and one that I believe had caramel. The donut holes were good; pillowy and sweet. I had a bite of the maple buttermilk bar which had great flavor and a slightly crunchy glaze that I enjoy. The vanilla sprinkles was also nice, but honestly could have used a bit more vanilla in the glaze as I could barely taste anything but sugar. I saw a few people mention that it was cash only, but my husband said he paid with his card so maybe it's a recent update on their part. He remembers it being about $9 for a dozen donuts which I think is a fair price, especially for California! Definitely a solid neighborhood spot for a sugar rush. read more
