I'm rarely out and about in Temecula to begin with, much less out and about in Temecula at 5am. I was driving and everyone in my party wanted something to eat before going to the balloon festival an hour later. With all of my party consisting of fellow Yelp Elite it was easy to find a place that was open early in the morning to satiate our hunger. This is a no-frills donut shop that's locally owned. Turns out that this place is famous for church groups on Sundays. Being a no-frills place don't expect anything super fancy but be happy that your donut - no matter how complex your order is - will be less than $3. Your equivalent donut order at a fancier shop might cost you twice as much. I got a maple donut for the lovely price of $2.09. It may not pass muster for Instagram but for $2.09 I don't care how ugly my donut looks as long as it tastes good. It's one of the better maple bacon donuts I had because it was actually decently sized and contained chunks of bacon. See the pic? That's quite a generous serving. In the future I'll definitely stop by here if I need a quick bite to eat on my way to Temecula. read more

I love crumb donuts and this place has the traditional crumb donut as well as large crumb twists, the equivalent of two crumb donuts! Been going here for over 8yrs and I didn't appreciate it until I moved away. It is very hard and almost impossible to find coffee and donuts like these. They are fresh and delicious. All of their donuts are basic but they do have a large variety. There is plenty of types to choose from but just nothing crazy like maple bacon or some kind of outrageous donut. My favorite is the chocolate bar with whipped cream down the middle. When i was younger it was the chocolate cake donut with chocolate and peanuts on top. This place also offers breakfast sandwiches,bagels, regular sandwiches, iced coffees, blended drinks etc. They have definitely expanded their menu from when they first started. My aunt and uncles and cousins come here and between all of them they have tried everything and I haven't heard complaints. Definitely check this place out. This WAS my go to donut shop. I came in to get my son a plain bagel and cream cheese for breakfast, expecting to pay under 5 dollars. When they went to ring me up the man stated it would be 10.75 . One thing I miss about Orange County is the 24hr Donut Shops. I happened upon Rancho Donuts this later afternoon after a trip to Target. Most donut shops around me close by 1pm at the latest which sucks. This one was open until 6pm which is great. Went in and got a chocolate chocolate donut, a ham and cheese croissant, and one Thai Tea. Great customer service and great selection of donuts! I stopped in at around 1030. There was a good selection of donuts and the display case was very full. However, I was disappointed in the taste. The apple fritter, my benchmark, was meh. I could barely taste any apple flavor--just sugar. The cinnamon one was also just ok. The texture was a little dry. I guess if you're looking for a large variety of donuts available in the late morning and you don't care much about flavor, this would be a good place to go. Best doughnuts ever! So fresh. I grabbed a few in the AM the other day for the first time and was so impressed. Reasonable prices too

So I went in today to give their coffee a try. The medium size is $1.60. Coffee was not my cup of tea...uh coffee. Sadly enough, it was diluted coffee. :( On the bright side, the creamer was good! Came here for National Donut Day! We decided on a dozen donuts, 'cause it's the day why not! We got the typical donuts (maple bar, some sprinkles, chocolate bar, glaze..) and then I tried out their maple bacon bar (not bad!). So when we go to check out, the lady who helped us told us the price was over $17.00!!!!! I was flabbergasted. Since when does a dozen donuts cost almost $20? I asked her if this was our total and she said yes, you get a discount because today is National Donut Day....... I'm sorry, that's with the discount? Then she proceeded to tell me that we got some of the more fancy donuts that cost a bit extra, like the maple bacon bar and sprinkle. Wait... A sprinkle donut is exclusive limited edition!?
