THE GOOD: Let me start by saying that Dakota is the best, caring, amazing server...no person I have ever met. This is my first time in Texas and I was excited to take my son to the Rainforest Cafe for the experience. Unfortunately, he was terrified sitting next to the tigers. Fortunately, a server name Dakota noticed our struggles and came to our table and informed us that he will try to move us to another table away from the tigers. A couple of minutes later, he made it happen. He moved us to another table away from the tigers. We are so grateful to Dakota and he wasn't even our assigned server. 5 STAR to Dakota and thank you!!! THE BAD: When we first arrived, a female hispanic host did not want to add us for reservation and told us to come back in 30 minutes. We asked why and that doesn't make sense. Then she said, okay I will add you to the reservation. Then, after our reservation was ready, a male host asked us if all our party was here. We said all but 1 that is 10-20 minutes away but we will order her food now. At first he was hesitant to seat us. Then, he said okay and sat us. So that is the reason for minus 2 stars. If everyone has the customer service like Dakota, Rainforest Cafe reviews would me all 5 stars. The ambience was awesome and the food looked amazing. read more

Okay honestly the reviews had me a little worried but I'm so thankful everything ended up great. I think everyone knows that they are paying for the experience (the decor, the fun drinks, the gift shop etc). I don't get why people are expecting a 5 star steak dinner when it's a restaurant that is literally inside of a mall and at Disney world. We took my friend's 3 year old son and he LOVED IT. At places like this you need to order food that will be good no matter where you get it. I ordered the taco salad and honestly it was pretty good! Are the prices too high for just about everything? Yes. But you would have to pay that for any other themed restaurant you go to (think Magic Time Machine, and medieval times). No one at my table had any complaints about their food! Our waiter was awesome and had a really nice voice (lowkey should've been a coach). I would definitely come back in the future because it was a lot of fun for the family. Just make sure you have a reservation and that everyone arrives at the same time! They don't seat incomplete parties and give you a 15 minute grace period. read more

Hmm.. where to start. I called a month in advanced for reservations for 10 people on a Saturday at 11am and they were full but the manager told me if we arrive early and get in line we are likely to get in. So that is what we decided to do, I actually arrived at 9:45 prior to the mall even opening to get in line. The ladies opening the green gate at 10 am even spoke to me. Everyone was polite. But around the time people started being seated (around 10:50ish) and big group pretended to go in and shop and actually cut in line in front of everyone. Instead of asking them to get in the back of the line, when clearly they were not there first they were allowed to be the first group to go on in. I wish that Rainforest Cafe would put in a system to prevent that from happening. My group was able to be seated too but had we not I would have been even more upset. Now, after that incident I have to say the rest of the experience was good. Our server was amazing, she made everything special for my girls. The food was pretty good, expensive but for us it's the experience more so than the food. The atmosphere is very fun. read more

Brad was awesome and the food was great! We came in for lunch and were in a bit of a time crunch and he made sure we were out on time!

DO NOT COME HERE WITHOUT RESERVING A TABLE WELL AHEAD OF TIME For real, a normal wait for a table is like 3 hours. The rainforest cafe is a cool experience for young kids every once in awhile. You don't go here looking for amazing food/drinks. You will spend a lot of money. I got the teriyaki bowl (something like that?) and it was good but had too much sauce (and I'm a sauce girl). They warned me it was spicy but it was not very spicy (I'm someone who likes a good bit of spice though). Will be back for a birthday or other celebration in the future :) read more

My daughter remembered the animatronic animals as being such fun when she was little, so we took the grandchildren for lunch. We had talked about this for a week. The rain storm, the animals, the jungle sounds. We came into the restaurant at noon and there were about 8 families dining. The water sound started up and the animals did not move. During the 90 minute lunch, nothing moved. We discussed that the chain was just going downhill and how sad it was. Basically we got a very expensive lunch without getting the experience. While we paid the check, the little ones went out to the car and suddenly the animal show fired up. It was like someone had forgotten to turn the rainforest on. What a waste of time. read more

We were looking forward to a fun time, 1st time for my husband. However we ended up by the kitchen were we heard everything from uck to #shit and plenty of venting. We were looking for something different something fun, but they let kids run around beating on the fish tanks, throwing napkins straw paper all over the place. No correction, had a woman pull out her boob to feed her baby without using a blanket, yes I'm a mom, and would have more respect to every one around me if my babe needed to be feed. Our waiter ( steven) we very friendly, however our dinner was plotted down by another person, and then gassed it, I had to holler out for napkins, sauce, and ketchup. Adults like to have fun and go places that are fun, but when you can't control your kids, and let them give grief to everyone around, go to McDonalds! It was over 100.00 $ for just 2 of us. And the worst thing was, are family members wanted to Join, they said no room yet the whole back half of the restaurant was empty! What??? You just missed out on another couple of hundred! read more

Wait time was absolutely AWFUL -- we waited over 45 minutes for completely terrible tasting food, and it was only after we'd waited for 40 minutes that our waitress mentioned that this was the slowest kitchen she'd ever worked at. :| Ya couldn't tell us that *before* we ordered with four kids ages 5 and under in tow? Food tasted like it was thrown from a frozen bag into a toaster oven for 5 minutes, and my chicken sandwich was burnt. I can't even begin to tell you how insanely overpriced and not worth it the food is. We had been saving up and waiting to go here for some time, and this was beyond a complete bust. Will not come back. read more

Starting with the check in, the staff was very courteous, informed us there was about an hour long wait, ended up being 45mins. Our waitress was very police and attentive. I have a seafood allergy, so the chef came out to speak with us about food preparation and substitutions. The food was delicious. The environment was lovely. I would definitely recommend this place, worth the money. read more

This was my first time at a Rainforest Cafe and my son dragged me to it. You definitely need reservations because this place gets stupid-busy. The food was meh, but way over priced. $27 for an entree-sized bowl of plain pasta with butter! Then the bathrooms! Oh lord, they were disgusting. read more

I took my kids to celebrate their birthday we had four meals and three drinks came out to around $120. The service was excellent; our waiter was attentive and friendly. As for the food: the hamburger and pastalaya , kids' pizza and burger were all about 6.8/10. Overall, the food was average and slightly overpriced, but that's expected for a themed restaurant. The kids had a blast, and we'd possibly visit again. I'd recommend giving it a try for the experience. read more

Really fun restaurant to go to, especially if you have kiddos. My parents took me here plenty of times when I was kid, so had to continue the tradition and take my family here. The food is very average, but you're paying for the experience-thunderstorms included! There's lot of different animals to see around the restaurant, but if it's super busy it is hard to walk around and see everything. Service was ok and definitely could have been a lot better. We did wait awhile for our food to come out, but the restaurant was very busy at the time. I would definitely advise you make reservations in advance instead of just waking in because I've been here before as a walk in and the wait is usually 2+ hours. Pro tip: go right when they open! read more

Lovely experience at Rainforest. We took a group of our youth there on a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge. We all had an incredible time and enjoyed our dining experience. Awesomely, they offer the vegan Beyond Burger. My wife and I really enjoyed it! We had: -Fries -Veggies (No butter) -Beyond Burgers - no cheese or mayo. We asked for no butter on the buns, unsure if they use butter or oil, but to be safe. We asked for the Burger to be vegan, and the waitress was incredibly helpful. If you haven't been to Rainforest, the experience goes beyond the table! Their live-action forest, animals, sounds are so fun! Of course, you also have to stop by their shop, that alone is a nice visit! Can't wait to go back! Thank you so much, Rainforest Cafe, for offering Vegan options! read more

The service was horrible and rushed. We went for my grandson's 3rd birthday party. Online it showed a private room. When we got there we were bunched up in the back. The manager rudely said that we couldn't add 3 chairs. It was clearly space available. Our server had a cold sore on his lip which was causing us to be very uncomfortable with him. He rushed to take our order. 30 minutes later they yelled who had which meal? Handing the food over each other. When the ticket arrived we were charged a BQ fee. The waiter or the manager couldn't explain why all tickets were changed that fee. After spending over $800 we only enjoyed the Rainforest and the food was good. read more

Earlier today (Saturday, September 27, 2025), my family and I went to this restaurant for dinner. One of my family members wanted the Chimi-Cha-Chas by itself, but was told by our server, " Liz" that we have to be a member to get it. I had the TROPICAL SALMON & COCONUT SHRIMP. The salmon was good, but the coconut was a little sweet. The ambience, as usual, dark with the sounds of thunder and the wild animatronics. Overall, I paid for the very expensive "Ok" food and the rainforest experience. read more

Let me start by saying that we used to love this place. It was a tradition with my nephew. Now, even when the have plenty of open seating, you have to Either have a reservation (impossible to get online) or do a waitlist anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. The place remains the same as previous years, plenty of seating for big or small parties. The menu has all the typical plates steak, chicken, pasta, salads, and they have a kids menu. Service was a bit let down, although food came out fast, they seemed to be short staffed. We had to wait for our check for about 20 min. The food it's OK, it was tasty and good portioned. We will still try the one in Orlando!, and I will keep you posted. read more

Frog cups, nachos, and lasagna. Rainforest cafe has done it again. Hands down the best ribs in the metroplex #SavetheRainforest

Haven't been here since our kids were little and brought our grandson. He was very underwhelmed and unimpressed at 3 years old. The food is crap for a very expensive price. Our waiter was good, until he brought desert chopper up syrupy strawberries instead of fresh strawberries to us. Other than and that may be all they had, he served well. It seemed clean but definitely made me wonder what all was floating in the air and how they keep anything clean with all the greenery and displays. read more

It's dark and big. The service was very slow. Food, dessert and drinks were all good.

Hostess was super rude. Waited for more than 40 minutes at a table. No service. Started to leave with 2 small children who had waited more than an hour between waiting for a seat and then waiting for service when we finally got someone to notice we were just sitting there for a while. I should have left, but the server we got made me want to give a second chance. I was WRONG!!! Our waitress was good but the food and other staff just sucked. Steak and shrimp. Steak was well done and inedible and shrimp was mushy. The photo is what I left there after attempting to eat this vile grub. The ambiance was drab, dark and our experience just overall sucked. Save your money, see the show from the bar or waiting area and eat in the food court. read more

Didn't go eat at the restaurant, just stopped by the shop. Very magical and super fun for the family/kids. They have a talking tree, a giant fish tank, and a lot for children to see. Yes, 4-stars! I'm like an adult child that loves color, animation, and most of all, to see the excitement in my child's eyes when she sees these rainforest animals come to life! For me...it was all the above...the food and service was great too, ya'll. I ordered the Korean Spicey stir fried chicken with crispy wontons, mandarin oranges, peppers and steamed rice. It was absolutely delicious! It was just the right amount of spicyness and tangyness that made it so perfect. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back for more! Kids meal was perfect size. Mac and cheese, grapes/oranges...snooze. I gave my other daughter "the hand" when she ordered some type of salad. I mean, boring salad? It wasn't even a specialty salad. Nice experience. Good food. Good service. Great atmosphere. Love!!! read more

Would Highly NOT recommend coming here. Simply wanted to change my order. Timothy the Manager on Duty did not apologize for any inconvenience. Everyone at the table finished their meals BEFORE 1 burger was done cooking. The server Daniella was rolling her eyes, giving disrespectful looks and talking with the hostess at the stand. Horrible start to my day as a guest who is attending this this mall. Not coming back. This shouldn't be happening especially if the restaurant is not busy. read more

OK, so 9 of us dined at RFC today - arriving about 12:45pm and after an hour wait. Zachary approached our table quickly after being seated and took our drink order and asked about appetizers. We could tell that they were short-handed, as many restaurants are currently. Zachary was very knowledgeable, polite, consolidated his service in an effort to take care of us and other tables he had nearby. We ordered a little of everything from a large option of choices on the menu. EVERYTHING we ate was on point, very hot, fresh, tasty and well presented. Was it a little longer than we had wanted it to be - sure ... but that wasn't due to a lack of teamwork or trying on the part of the RFC folks. All appeared to be working together to service the long line of customers which had chosen to dine with them today. Very impressed with the food and the service today - wish we lived closer, as we might drop by more than once or so per year. Also - make sure you join the Landry Select Club, if you are not already a member. We had a $25 credit for a birthday we utilized and they have a shorter line for members as well. read more

We came here because I always wanted to know why the line is always so long and busy when I was a child. There is a spot where you can reserve your place in line The waits was 2 hours and 30 minutes and we reserved our spot at around noon as we wanted somewhere to eat after my play. So my wife gets at text at around 2:30pm saying our table is ready and we have 10 minutes to go and check in. So you follow the dinosaur tracks and wait to get checked in. The atmosphere is nice and that is what you go for. Every 20 to 30 minutes there is a rain fall and all the animals act up. You get to see the animal tronics like the elephant and lion. We were seated next to the fish tank which was nice. Bathrooms I thought it would be nicer, but it ended up being really dirty and disgusting. Food prices were overpriced, but you are playing for the experience. I ordered the Chinese Island Chicken Salad which was around $20 dollars and my wife order the pasta which had marina and seafood with some spice in it. I enjoyed my salad a lot even though it was overpriced as I loved the dressing. Service was good, I ended up giving them a 20% tip as they did their best when everything was busy. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I think we are going to eat somewhere a little bit more cheaper. read more

As a 25 year old ag teacher, I had never been to Rainforest Cafe, but I decided to take my FFA kids during our State Convention since I'd heard it was a great experience. However, that was not my experience. From the minute we sat down our server was rude to us. She first popped off and stated that she wouldn't break our bill into ten separate orders. I was confused as I'd made reservations for 10 so the staff already knew we had a large party. Then she wouldn't let the kids order off of the kids menu, a problem we'd not encountered anywhere our entire trip. So because of this information, we decided to share meals. When she came back later to take our orders, we told her we were sharing with each other to which she seemed surprised since she was all of the sudden willing to push a few extra buttons to make it easier on us. Overall, the drinks were really overpriced, the food was bland, and the waitress was the worst I've ever had. I understand people can have bad days, but there's no reason to ruin the experience of a group of kids who were nothing but respectful. If you are considering going to this Rainforest Cafe, I wouldn't waste your time. read more

The rainforest cafe is an outdated, dust trap with microwaved entrees and overpriced drinks. My kids and their friends LOVE this restaurant. And they ask to come here all the time. While there's always a 2-3 hour wait, I simply don't understand how there can be so many empty tables and plenty of staff chit-chatting. Something isn't right here and the discrimination isn't hidden. For whatever reason, bartender Justin, would not serve me. On two separate occasions! He then proceeded to have the other bartender to refuse service. Not sure what I did, if it's simply because I'm a Hispanic woman or what. I was left sitting at the bar with no service. read more
