Wonderful family experience and the food was great! Love the atmosphere and service was wonderful even when super busy.

The Rainforest Cafe is like stepping into a time capsule from the 1990s. The animatronic animals, jungle sounds, and periodic thunderstorms are still just as memorable as they were decades ago. While some aspects of the experience haven't aged particularly well, it was a lot of fun sharing it with my kids, who enjoyed the atmosphere just as much as I did when I was younger. The service was friendly and efficient, although it felt a bit scripted. The staff clearly follows a well-established routine, but they kept everything moving smoothly and made us feel welcome. The food is about what you'd expect from a large casual chain restaurant. I'd compare it to Chili's or Applebee's in terms of quality, but at a noticeably higher price. That's not really why you come here, though. The food is perfectly acceptable, but the themed dining experience is the main attraction. If you're looking for an unforgettable culinary experience, this probably isn't the place. But if you have kids or you're feeling nostalgic and want to relive a classic family attraction, Rainforest Cafe is still worth a visit. We celebrated my daughter's birthday here, and while it was definitely an experience, I left feeling disappointed. The prices are extremely high for what you receive, and unfortunately, the food didn't justify the cost. I was hoping the fun atmosphere and overall experience would make up for the food, but it just didn't. Service was good and birthday song was sang for my girl. If you're thinking about going, I'd say it's worth taking the young kids once for the experience, but be prepared for the prices! read more

A friend in town for a conference and I had dinner here on Thursday, 6/4 for her birthday. The atmosphere is great, and the food was wonderful! Service was fantastic ~ Shoutout to Julio! My friend had the Taste of the Islands dish. I had the China Island Chicken Salad. Both meals were very good - large portions! We shared the Sparkling Volcano dessert --- HUGE - brought the balance home. An added bonus: A young man offered to take our picture ~ offered a small complimentary pic and the option to purchase some larger ones - I did! Service was so friendly starting with the hostess Elizabeth! Servers Mulantaey and Frank were fabulous! Frank ended up serving us but both checked on us throughout our meal and we just had the most lovely experience! We started by sharing the hose salad with Caesar dressing, that was so good! We visited Rain Forest Cafe recently for a kiddo birthday in our house and our experience was a good one. We arrived just as the dining room opened for the day on a Sunday (mall location). The service was good, offering recommendations and plenty of "upsells". Our food came out quickly and was hot, which is all I hoped for. So a good experience. We grew up going to Rain Forest but the next generation of kids in our household hadn't ever heard of it before this. They enjoyed the decor and zoo-like atmosphere from the many animals. The thunderstorms were a fun surprise and by the end of our time the little guy was saying "I want to do it again." :) All in all we had fun and managed to walk away without spending our full life savings on the many souvenirs. I recommend making a reservation. We showed up at 4:50 for our reservation @5 and waited till 10 after 5. They were not extremely busy. We ordered the multi sampler and drinks and they were excellent. We were pleasantly surprised due to the reviews I saw. The waiter was attentive and flagged down the balloon maker for us who told us about the coupon on the bottom of the kids menu. The checker at the counter was very helpful to help us make our final purchase decisions. My 5 year old that it was the best place in the world. The bathrooms were clean. read more

I already knew Rainforest Cafe would be overpriced, but since it was my daughter's birthday we bit the bullet. Our waiter was also preoccupied with making drinks for the bar, he tried to do a good job at least. So, I ordered the Blue Mountain Caprese sandwich, of which the lemon grilled chicken was actually good! I just thought the bread was too hard and ended up taking it off the (what I think was) French bread and eating the chicken/tomato/mozerella by itself. Also, the Cole slaw that came with the sandwich tasted and smelled old, I took one bite and stopped for fear of getting sick. The fries were good while they were warm; however, they turned too hard once I took them to go indicated they had already been reheated. I ended up tossing them. My husband ordered the Python chicken pasta, his pasta sauce was BLAND! But the chicken was abundantly flavorful though. And my childrens' meals were good! The mini burgers were great, dry but tasted good at least. All in all, $80 for a family of 4 wasn't worth it. We didn't order dessert and only had one coke with everyone else drinking water. Came here with wife & granddaughter on a Tuesday at 11AM. Got in and seated immediately. Waiter was fast & friendly. Except at the end, when he took my credit card and disappeared for 15 minutes before coming back. The food was pretty good. We both had Blue Mountain Chicken Caprese sandwich, with fries and pineapple/coconut slaw. Tasted good, but the sandwich was a bit greasy. Bathrooms pretty dirty. The rainforest cafe, if you done know it, is a completely decorated restaurant that has big funny looking animatronic animals. The music is very loud and the animal noises go off every 20 mins or so... it's a really funny place that you go to for this sort of funny atmosphere. Unfortunately we are a group of families who took our young children and they HATED the animals and noises and didn't stop crying so we had to box up our food and leave - but that's not the restaurants fault they were super helpful in getting everything boxed up for us. When we got home and ate the food they had given us everything, but the food was not good. I ordered the Cesar salad and couldn't manage more than a bite. It was wilted and old and the dressing was sour - it was terrible. The others food was aright, my son had the kids quesadilla and it was plain but edible, which was a step up from the salad. Rainforest Café - Grapevine Fun for kids and kids at heart! Expect to pay $30+ per person. Food isn't great. As the name of this place, you do feel like you're inside a rainforest. Staff were good, not great. Our waiter came by once to take our order and once to bring check. Food was decent but way overpriced. House salad was bare minimum and wilted. Soup was very small and cold. Anaconda Pasta wasn't too much to write home about. The menu option is very limited. The décor was decent, as well, but everything in here is 1990's original. Some of the animatronics were too scary for 2025. The rainforest sounds you'd expect to hear are also limited. The thunder and lightning effects are also outdated. The music was loud and wasn't fun to talk loudly to hear each other. They need to revamp this location and for the money they're charging, redecorate and update their '90's animals. If you're coming here, it's a once in the blue moon type of visit. Be sure to bring lots of money as food is overpriced. Between two people we paid $60. read more

Service very bad! After we ordered. We never saw our waitress. Waited over 45 minutes, still no food. We asked other servers and the mgr if we could just pay for our sodas and leave. The food was decent, and the ambiance was outstanding, but the service left much to be desired--slow and understaffed. It's baffling that a place like this hasn't implemented an online payment system like Chili's or Chuy's. I had to wait a frustrating 30 minutes just to settle my bill, even though there were no issues with it--just a long wait. The food also took a long time to come out. They could take notes on efficiency from Chick-fil-A and digital convenience from Chili's. I shared my concerns with the manager, George, but the conversation was entirely unproductive--just a series of excuses. I won't be returning. We ussed to love this place, we started coming to eat there close to 30 years ago.But In my opinion it needs remodeling and more personnel . The fish tanks are showing signs of aging, the carpet is sticky restrooms need cleaning. Our food arrived more than one hour late. The chicken was over cooked charred in parts, the fish was cold and the medium term burger also dry and overcooked for a $20 burger. We were too hungry to request changes, so we ate all. On the positive side , the children had fun with the robotic animals and the thunder which are still there. We would probably not comeback for a while unless we hear news of improvement. read more

Exceeded my expectations. We had plans to be in the area and couldn't miss the opportunity. I prepared the kids to keep their expectations low for the food and lengthy wait times. We made reservations the day of and were seated upon arrival. We didn't make a special request for the table and were seated in the middle which was great. We could view all sides when the rainforest shows' started. Our server was attentive, shared her favorites with us and she was fun with the kids. 3 kids pizza meals, a pasta, an adult club and spicey pasta (can't recall the name). Parts of several individual plates were incomplete and we were told that they would bring the rest of that food when it was ready. Waiter had too many tables and was no where to be found. I spoke to the manager who only did that this was not their standard. Deeply disappointed. There was an active roach issue and multiple uncovered food bins behind the bar during service. That's a serious health concern for contamination and foodborne illness, especially in a family restaurant. It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday evening. The interior is very dark, designed to resemble a forest. Unfortunately, there was a strong smell of urine when you first walk in. Honestly, we would have left if we'd been seated near that odor. Thankfully, it improved as we moved further inside. The service was extremely slow. When our server finally came over, he seemed distracted and zoned out while we were placing our order. The food itself was dry and completely lacking in flavor. Very pleasantly surprised. The ambiance seems a bit dated but it is kid themed and they all seemed to enjoy it. The thunderstorm was a bit intense for little kids. The portion size on the cheese curd appetizer was a bit skimpy but they tasted OK. I got the python pasta (chicken Alfredo) which is very garlicky, which is totally fine with me. The chicken was juicy and tender and had a good char on it. The fish tacos were a hit. The bourbon meat loaf was the only downer at the table. If I could give zero stars I would. When we got to our table (1.5 hours wait) we ordered drinks and then food. 1 hour later the first dish (of 16) came out. 10 minutes after that there 3 more dishes...this went on for about 30 minutes until the last two dishes came out. The bathrooms. Disgusting. Over flowing waste bins, clogged toilets, water everywhere-so gross. I ordered the beastly burger which was actually pretty tasty- My husband ordered the coconut shrimp. It wasn't cooked all the way. When we asked the manager to fix it, she kindly explained that the kitchen was closed and she couldn't ask them to make anything more but we COULD have a volcano (only one) and she would take the shrimp dish off the ticket. So not only did my husband not get fed, they tried to poison him in the process. Our waiter also dropped an F bomb while walking by our table. We will never come here again. read more

Food was mediocre & took almost 2 hours to come out. The server didn't check in on our party at all for refills, etc the entire time... only saw her for the initial order, when the food arrived & to bring the check :). When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told we had to wait an hour and that we would be added to the waiting list. After waiting for more than an hour and a half, we went back to ask again and were treated very rudely. They even made fun of our English accent, even though it's clearly not our first language. We were told that we were not on the list. I want to emphasize that we were discriminated against and mistreated. We were a party of five. When another hostess noticed how we were being treated, she approached us, spoke to the person at the front (who was also Hispanic), and instructed them to let us in, confirming that we were indeed on the list and to assign us a table. The entire experience was discriminatory and disrespectful. When we were finally taken to our table, the hostess continued to mock us and make faces. It was a terrible experience, and I do not recommend this place to anyone. The food took an hour to arrive, and when it did, it was cold. The bread was burned. There was only one server for the entire area, and he was running back and forth trying his best. This is not a complaint about the server, as he did his best, but rather about the staff at the front. You should not discriminate against or mistreat customers--especially when they are spending around $200 on a meal that is not worth it. I do not recommend this place. Do not go. read more

The Rainforest Cafe holds a lot of nostalgia for me. Since most have closed in my area I was excited to visit one and relive that childhood magic. The magic and ambiance is still there. The excitement at the thunderstorm and the all moving animals but either my palate has drastically changed as an adult, or the food has digressed because our dishes were not good. I went with 3 other friends. 1 friend chose the Amazon Rainforest Burger ($20), another the Awesome Appetizer Adventure ($24), another a Turkey Sandwich, and I a Chicken Sandwich. The food took a while to arrive, but that is OK, there was a lot to entertain. When the food did come we were a bit disappointed. The burger and my chicken sandwich were fine. Nothing amazing but did the job as we were really hungry. Unfortunately, my other friends did not fare so well. Half of the items on the Appetizer platter were cold and hard, my friend barely touched it. My friend who ordered the turkey sandwich only had a bite before letting it go, saying that the spread tasted off. This may have just been personal preference, so not necessarily the fault of the Rainforest Cafe, but still a shame. All in all the service was fine, the ambiance was nostalgic but the food was subpar (at least what we ordered). I would return for the memories and perhaps a drink and desert but not necessarily the food. read more

This was my first time here and we came in with a reservation as I have heard it can be a line waiting. So we sat down and about 45 mins later we have our drinks and appetizers. At no point did we get any silverware the entire time. An hour and 45 mins later we got food after complaining to the manager George made nothing but excuses. When I mentioned that the table behind us came in way later and have already been served and are finished he said well they ordered pasta. I said so did I he said since we have a bigger group (6 to the 4) that it can take 1 to 1 1/2 hours. I said we have been here past that he said yes 1 hour 38 mins. Further proving my point. He said the chef is playing and it will be out shortly. About 8-10 minutes later the first 2 plates show up and one is completely wrong.
