Not knowing the area, I booked the Hyatt Place Grapevine because it was located near DFW and had plenty of places within walking distance. The hotel rooms are exactly what you would expect from a Hyatt Place: clean, comfortable, and well designed for a short stay. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming, which made an already stressful travel day much easier. I also appreciated that the hotel offers a complimentary airport shuttle, although it is worth noting that service ends at 11:00 p.m. The gym is great, the little market is convenient, and for a one-night stay, it met all of my needs. Having restaurants and shopping nearby was an added bonus and made it easy to relax without needing a rental car. If I ever find myself needing to stay near DFW again, I would not hesitate to book this hotel.

Additionally, Irene's Bakery--the bakery the venue partners with--was fantastic! The cake was delicious and delivered right on time. We also worked with DJ Ivan, who did an amazing job! He executed our timeline perfectly and played exactly the songs I had requested. On the day of the wedding, our reception went incredibly smoothly. The room was set up exactly according to the floor plan we had discussed. There was plenty of staff on hand, ensuring that both the head table and every guest table were well taken care of. Everyone was attentive and brought a wonderful, positive energy to the evening. David worked with the schedule of other parties, as well as our availability, and made it possible for us to setup before the wedding rehearsal. The parking lot was clean, well lit and not terribly far from the venue. Upon entering I stopped by the bathroom for a quick mirror check. Gorgeous decor, new fixtures and flooring, clean. After the bathroom, I headed to the main banquet room where the formal dining was to take place as well as the happy hour portion. There were only 2-3 bartenders but it wasn't an issue. No wait longer than 90 seconds and the staff was extremely helpful. The outside foyer was gorgeous and heated for those who wanted to partake in the outer bar. Food was delicious.
